Just plain ol' didn't show up. Left work, Sat and waited for the entire time of the window, and nothing. No phone call, just nothing.

The drainage problem seems to have…read moreben done correctly but they seem to have calculated incorrectly and added only a thin layer of new material to the driveway. Instead of using a big, heavy roller to smooth out the new material, they used a small walk-behind machine one might use to vibrate pavers on a patio to make sure thjey won't move. Grant told me there might be some uneven settling or potholes and I should just call if that occurs and they'd come and fix them. We did get a sizable pothole near the end of the driveway. I called a couple of months after they did the original work and have been getting nothing but excuses for almost 3 years. I hesitated to give a bad review because he kept promising to fix the problem. But he always blamed the weather, or being down an employee, or being busy, or sometimes promising to come "soon" but it's clear he never intended to honor his promise and finish the job properly. The second star is only because the drainage worked out okay. The driveway wasn't done properly and was never fixed. I'd avoid this company.

ADS Drain Cleaning, Excavating and Plumbing is a perfect example of why homeowners perceive…read moreplumbers as overpriced, ruining it for the "good" ones! I contacted ADS to fix a small leak and had mentioned a couple other minor plumbing changes as potential for either now or later. The owner stated they could come out "today or tomorrow". I expected an estimate or further discussion, however, he just sent a less experienced "technician" to complete all work. The technician struggled with how to replace parts to fix the leak. He was planning on cutting the copper pipe to remove the old push stops until I told him there wouldn't be enough copper left to attach the new shark bite stops. In the process, he flooded beneath the dishwasher (didn't even know how to access that plumbing until I showed him), soaked some basement carpet, then called a co-worker to "help figure things out". He did not bring anything into my home to mop up the water (used my towels without asking). End result, it took him 4.5 hours to do a few simple jobs = $675 (this included a "local resident" discount from $750). Additionally, I had already purchased all necessary parts except one braided hose. I promptly paid by check to avoid their credit card fee. Since the technician could not tell me the cost breakdown, I sent a polite email to the owner requesting such. No reply. Two weeks later, I resent my email. Still, NO REPLY! This lack of response alludes that there is no substantiated justification for his cost. I will be utilizing an experienced plumber (who actually comes out themselves to do the work and can answer questions and fees) instead of trusting our quaint small town local business. This guy is a CROOK!

The repair ended up costing about 2x what they originally said which ... hey that happens. The quoted it sight unseen, then looked at it and decided it was bigger than they expected. They put this junk in, plug it and then you cut the plugs flat after a few days. Repair at 6 months is holding. The other people that looked at it were thousands if dollars so I thought I'd try this...glad I did. I only have before pics Prompt and repair that worked.

Dave from the Crack Team, he was my 4th, and final estimate I got. #1 said they'd fill the crack and put a vapor barrier over it for $975 #2 said that although my walls were plumb, and showed no sign of other distress, I would need 5 carbon wall ties, @ $500/each, and fill the crack, with a 10% cash discount for $3868 #3 said they would fill the crack & rod holes w/ epoxy for $500 #4 gave me an estimate of $1050 to fill the crack and rod holes with urethane and then reinforce the job with carbon concrete staples - with a lifetime transferable warranty! After doing my research online, I came to the decision that urethane is better than epoxy, for my purposes, and that I don't need 5 carbon wall ties. Dave with the Crack Team won my bid because of the reinforcement, use of urethane, and the warranty. His work was fine, as was he. The only negatives I can give is that he didn't prep me on how messy of a job this was going to be. At one point I went down in the basement to check and see if he would like something to drink, and my whole basement was filled with concrete dust. If I had been prepped on the mess, I would've shut off the furnace, shut the door to the room he was working in, and cover a bunch of things in the room he was working in, to make clean up way easier on me. He wrote me up for a bill of $1070, because he filled 1 more rod hole than quoted ($20/rod hole). All in all, I recommend the Crack Team.
