My husband and I started going to Knepper's almost two years ago when we moved into the neighborhood. I have a severe fish and shellfish allergy, which can make dining out stressful. The first time we visited, we had been painting our new house all day and just needed to grab some food. When we walked in, two waitresses were sweeping the floor--I didn't realize they were close to closing. Despite that, they warmly welcomed us and I explained my allergy. They were incredibly accommodating, even checking with the chef to ensure my meal would be safe. Every time we visit, they take such great care. They remember my allergy and have even alerted other waitstaff about it. Their genuine concern and attentiveness make every visit to Knepper's a pleasure. We truly enjoy dining here! read more

They have a good breakfast. My friends I eat breakfast there on occasions on a Sunday and I think they are good, and price was reasonable.

Scallops pretty good. Didn't care for mashed potatoes. Side salad was pretty basic. Toddler in our party got grilled cheese sandwich. It looked good I'd like to order that next time. Blueberry crumb pie ordered by someone else in our group also looked really good; I'd like to order that next time. I think their pies are homemade. Our waitress was really nice. She was good with the toddler. Had to wait too long for everything not happy about that. This restaurant is out in the country has country feel to it. They keep it nice and clean. read more

If I could give zero stars for Gabby's service today...I would. Experienced the most disgraceful service I have ever received in my entire life tonight and was publicly humiliated by this server and it was entirely uncalled for. As a F&B worker myself I was truly appalled and will never be stepping foot back in this establishment again. I will warn my friends and family as well, being that I AM a local. the rolls were basic diner rolls, but were good; we had a choice of white or rye. Salads were also basic diner with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, chopped tomatoes n red onions. Friend said his hot wings were pretty decent, priced about right/good at $.50/wing. Other friend said her haddock was really good, and a big size. My mother really liked her Buffalo Shrimp, being a good size and taste. From my experience though, DO NOT GET the chicken parm sandwich. it was $6, and all it was was a frozen breaded chicken patty with marinara sauce and mozz cheese thrown on top inside of a bun that BK would use for its cheaper burgers.... The onion rings were probably frozen because the onions were a little soft, but the breading and how they were cooked was very very good ($2.95 for the side). Their french fries were homemade tho and quite good. Their ketchup was a very cheap brand though that had a bad taste. Especially in Pennsylvania, if youre not making a very good homemade ketchup, Heinz 57 needs to be served! with a group of 8 ppl + 3 toddlers, it avgd about $22.50/adult, but only 4 got seafood, 6 got either tea or soda. it took about 50-60 minutes for us to get the appetizers, then at an hr and 10 minutes, we received our food. i would rate it about 2.5/5 stars, since others seemed to enjoy their food, but i feel it was in a higher price bracket than what it needs to be and the wait was a bit long. read more

I get a lot of joy when I find new places with excellent food and great settings to impress my mom. As we where driving I spotted this place which I wanted to try for a while. The interior decorations are pretty cute my mom was looking and touching. The Seafood was amazing in taste and flavor, it really tasted like fresh seafood. Waitress we had was friendly, but we waited and waited meanwhile the one other waitress screams at a customer for him to wait a second for his water in front of everyone. By everyone maybe 8 tables total and it was considered so busy! We waited over 50 minutes still no food, so we left. Seriously it was breakfast, and the place was not busy. We went their on Sunday 9/19/2021; party of six, 4 adults, 2 children. We live in the area and have been there several times with no issue before this day was a bad experience. At the start the young blonde waitress seemed to be in a bad mood; she messed up some of the orders and became rude as time went on. one of the kids ordered a baked potato with sour cream and bacon bits with their hamburger and requested barbeque sauce. she said she would if they could do that, (no bacon bits) but he didn't complain about it. When requesting the sour cream, barbeque sauce & butter she just grabbed 4 sour creams, 6 barbeque sauces and a handful of butters on put them on the table in a huff. Then, my husband had a beer that was halfway done when he requested another beer. She said only 1 beer was allowed at a time. Even though the day before it was not a problem having 2 beers at the same time. So my daughter ordered one to give him when he was done the one he had so he didn't have to wait. When my husband finished his existing beer we passed the full one to him and the empty glass was in front of me. Well, the waitress went off on us and we told her the glass was empty and sitting in front of me before he took the full one. She basically called us liars and my daughter said she was being outrageous over the situation, she then told her coworker she was called obnoxious and threatened to get the manager. we said we would like to talk to the manager who never came out. she added an extra burger to the order by mistake and when we said we had everything they took it to another table who said it wasn't theirs. After checking the bill and stating we were charged for the extra burger she said in a snippy tone "well just take $8.00 off the bill then". Wanted to like this quaint location. Probably a great local hangout. Plenty of older people who probably frequent and love this place. The staff: unfriendly to new comers. Their service: non existent, if your not known by name. The drinks: boring and left over from 1980. This place needs an update because once all their clientele die off they'll be out of business. My suggestion. Fire or retrain the staff, redo the menu, get rid of all the boring beer and end up in present day America. I will not return to this place. Diner quality food at higher than diner prices. To start, the waitress was rude, she also worked behind the bar and checked us out at the end of the night. I ordered shrimp over linguini, got shrimp over spaghetti, tiny portion, which is saying a lot because I almost never finish my plate when eating out. My fiance got meatloaf, he said it tasted like frozen t.v. dinner. The rolls were stale. The electricity went off several times because someone was working on it in the back. Sadly, we had high hopes for this place... The food was okay...just okay...I had fried oysters which were good and my husband had fried shrimp which he said was heavily breaded. The vegetables were bland and probably came from a can... BUT... the reason for this very poor review was the waitress.... We are so accustomed to good service wherever we eat and this was the worst ever. She was abrupt and not friendly. She served bread in a basket and there were no bread plates on the table. When I asked for plates for our bread, she almost tossed them onto the table! I asked for lemons with my oysters...again..she rather abruptly dropped the lemons on to the table... She never returned to see if we needed anything and the dining room was almost empty...only two other couples... At the end of our meal, she rudely said "Are you finished?" I told my husband to leave a mere $2.00 tip for such poor service and her terrible attitude...but , in hindsight, I wish we had left $1...just to make our point. My wife and I recently visited this Inn on a Friday when lobster tail was their special. It was excellent as were the French fries and coleslaw that we chose as the sides. The home made bread which began the meal was also excellent. The coleslaw is made by the restaurant and very good. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The only disappointment was the draft beer which came without a head and therefore either came in a glass which was not free of oils or from a keg which was a little stale. If the beer had been better, this place would have rated five stars. Finally, the price was quite reasonable. The parking lot and the restaurant were full and the plates were going back empty. My dad's beer was sour, and the waitress let him order a different beer instead. Our table ordered three appetizers: an order of clams, potato skins, and some wings. At the same time, we ordered our entrees. The salads that came with our meals were delivered promptly. However, we had to ask for bread after we finished our salads when it is supposed to come with them. It then took 41 minutes to get our appetizers. Around the 35 minutes after we ordered the appetizers, my mom flagged down our waitress asking where our appetizers were and the waitress answered that they will be out soon and the kitchen was very busy, and she said this a few feet from our table. I understand the restaurant was busy, but I thought it was an unprofessional response. We saw another diner stand up and go by the kitchen door to ask the waitress something, and she told the diner to sit down and that she'll bring them whatever they needed. Our appetizers arrived 6 minutes later. My "potato skins" were thick cut steak fries with some melted cheese, some cheese whiz, and 5 little scraps of bacon. Half the "potato skins" didn't even have cheese on them. They were not potato skins at all. My mom's clams were fine. My dad's wings were not very meaty, there were only two drumsticks, and the sauce was watery. The entree's arrived 10 minutes later. My mom and I had the broiled scallops, and the sides were good. My dad's veal parmesan however, was short portioned as he only received one patty (which used to be two patties), the tomato sauce was watery and didn't cling to the pasta. We had enough and asked for the check when our entrees arrived. Unbeknownst to me, my mom had asked three different waitresses to sing to me for my 21st birthday, and they didn't do a single thing. A small complementary dessert would've been nice since they didn't answer my mom's requests for a birthday song, but that did not even happen. I'm upset that I chose this place for my 21st birthday dinner. We could've spent our $67 elsewhere for great service and food. After tonight's experience, we will never go back. read more

After a long drive we decided to stop here at 6pm on a Sunday. Bar was empty, dining room had one party of 5 finishing dinner. Waitress was very personable and attentitive. Although the place was clean, it smelled like a public restroom. My husband's iced tea tasted like coffee grounds, the rolls were moldy, the salad was iceburg lettuce with onions and a sliver of tomoato, my steak was pan fried with no seasoning, and my baked potato had clearly been sitting there since 10am. My husband's french fries were the only good thing we ate. Even the ketchup was bad. read more
