I'd heard that the perch is the thing to get, so I ordered the Panko Breaded Perch Dinner ("Hand-dipped in panko breadcrumbs and fried to perfection. Served with house made coleslaw and French Fries"). It arrived quite a while later and it's fine. The perch had obviously been sitting around a while, as it wasn't hot and kind of soggy. It's also weird that they're such small pieces, given the cost of the platter. But the fries were good, at least. It's obvious that the main draw at The Beach House is the ambiance and the view of the water. And yeah, that view was pretty great.

They offered us the high table with bar stools but I wasn't comfortable taking it because our party of eight included my nephew who uses a booster seat and my mother, aunt and uncle who are all seniors and would be uncomfortable spending an hour on bar stools. To be fair, I'm giving three stars because we were a bit late arriving although I did call to say we were behind and on our way and there was no indication that our table was in jeopardy. It's just a quick exit off I-90 and practically on the lake -- super convenient whether you're heading to Niagara Falls or traveling back toward Pennsylvania or Ohio. The food was excellent and you can really taste the care they put into it. They source as locally as possible, with their perch and other fresh fish coming straight from the fish market across the street. I had a hand-patted juicy beef burger topped with their homemade chili -- delicious. The curly fries are made in-house: they take a whole potato, spiralize it on the spot, and fry it fresh. They were outstanding! The owner also makes all the pies in-house, and everything we tried was super fresh. Prices were fair for the area, the service was genuinely friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the welcoming atmosphere. When you walk in you walk towards the back and order at the counter. They give you a number tent which you take to your table so they can find you to deliver your food. The menu is extensive so take your time before heading to the counter. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside. The outdoor area is unique and whimsical. A portion of the outdoor area is under a tent-like structure which would be useful when the weather doesn't cooperate. I ordered the Seasonal Wiener: American AF. My wife ordered: Don't Hassle the Hoff but held the kraut. Both were excellent (hers was better). They also have an extensive beer menu. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable.
