I'm going to start this off by saying I'm a huge fan of kneaders. Admittedly I only really order one thing and that is the French toast. I eat large quantities of food and since its unlimited I LOVE it. It's not just the quantity that is great but the quality. The bread is thick and delicious. I believe it has cinnamon and other things in the bread, so basically it's starting out better than most people's French toast. Then there's the syrup. It's not even fair to call it syrup! It's a delicious Carmel-esque sauce and my goodness it makes me never want to have traditional syrup on pancakes or French toast ever again. The service even on a busy day is polite and prompt. I highly recommend Kneaders to anybody except those with a gluten intolerance. read more

I have been to this location about 7 times now. My food hasn't been wrong and seems to be a short wait. I get the turkey avocado whole sandwich. I have been going to kneaders since they opened a location by my house in American fork in like 2000. They used to give u a pickle with the sandwich now they charge u .25 a spear. I think that's kinda cheap of them to charge you cuz the sandwiches are not cheap so why should I have to pay for pickle spears? read more

ESPECIALLY if you are in the drive through, be prepared to turn off your car and wait the half-hour. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED! We received rude service, and a long time for our food. We were told they had items on the menu they didn't have and charged for them. My son ordered an ice coffee and he was told to make it himself to go behind the counter and get milk from the refrigerator. then she did want to put the flavoring in the coffee because she didn't have a pump on the new bottle, after we paid for it. I ordered decaf, they did have it. I had to ask for a cup of coffee 3 times and was told as well to put it myself. It was cold and terrible. we had to ask for our food three times even though we saw it sitting on the counter for some time. Everyone else who walked it got better ser ice and faster food. It felt like they didn't want to serve us possibly because we were Hispanic. it was like they were purposely ign us. I love Kneaders! I love that it is a fast food place where I can get foods that aren't deep fried and greasy. Don't get me wrong -- I love fattening deep fried deliciousness but not all the time! I love Kneaders salads -- they have plenty of delicious ingredients -- not just lettuce and tomatoes and cheese. I also LOVE the French Toast and the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich! They also make yummy sweet treats like brownies, cookies, nut bars, eclairs, scones, muffins, etc. I have been to this location many times and the service is generally pretty quick. read more

As the name implies, this is a very VERY bread dense place to eat. Think Panera bread, but more country kitchen and less salads. My husband and I picked up a sandwich in the drive through here before heading out to snowshoe (which we rented from Gear:30 next door) and the sandwich and soup was pretty decent. Everything was fresh, the soup tasted pretty good, the turkey was nice and thick and didn't taste too salty. I went on a Kneaders binge for quite a few months.. that is the only place I wanted to go out to eat!! I love their sandwiches so much! A favorite is the Turkey Bacon Avocado on a croissant. Their soups are ALL delicious. Their desserts are overpriced (around $4 for a single serving), but they are rich and filling. If we feel like having a little treat, we will get one and share it. Having an X and a Y chromosome I may not have enough estrogen flowing through my body to eat here but that doesn't take away from how good the food is. To start off the only negative thing I had to say is that the Ice machine was broke. Not normally a huge issue, but when it's 90+ degrees outside then it becomes a necessity. The workers recovered quickly offering me a cup of ice from the back, which was a nice gesture. Now to the food. I had the chicken bacon avocado sandwich which was super tasty. Some places over do sandwiches with over powering spices and sauces but Kneaders seems to have found a happy balance. I like their wide selection of food regardless of your mood theirs something enjoyable to be found. I've only been to Kneaders a few times and this was my first visit to this location. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I knocked off a star for how long it took to whip up a very simple sandwich. read more

Expensive! They used to put a good amount of turkey on their sandwiches now they are SO skimpy. We came and asked if we could pay more for more turkey. We don't want a handout... we would pay. The turkey amount was the same skimpy amount... AND THEY CHARGED ME TWO DOLLARS FOR EXTRA! When I complained they said that skimpy amount included the extra. Are you kidding me? Gave the place another try for breakfast since we were right there, and what a transformation... the breakfast sandwich, which I had on white bread (untoasted per my special request) was full to overflowing. The egg just had a little soft yoke left in it, which I LOVE! The manager solved a service problem (that I will not rehash here since it has already been addressed) quickly and professionally. Every time I went in, multiple times the food has been consistently good! Lunch gets crazy packed and it is a little expensive but here we go.. French toast. BEYOND AMAZING! I like how they serve it with fresh strawberries! Breads. Every. Single. One. I've tried was delicious! This rosemary one I tried I even gave as a gift! Chicken pesto panini. I was semi disappointed. I think this little bakery is overpriced for what you get. I went in to purchase a couple brownies and a small (TINY) side of broccoli salad & potato salad. After finding out that the 1/4 C. sides were $2.99 each, I cancelled the side orders and just stuck with the brownies. After returning home with the brownies I opened up the packages to find brownies about 2/3 the size of what I usually get when we eat inside the store... And they were so dry and hard around each edge- these have obviously been left out for days, at the very least. Usually my experiences here have been about 4 star, but after dealing with their huge line tonight, their computers being down, the overpriced sides and the dried up brownies they sent me home with, I think I'm generous rating them a 3 star. I prefer the Layton establishment. They are with the program. Ogden leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered a ranch turkey sandwich and got a classic turkey with ranch dressing for the salad. Ordered chicken nut salad and no nuts. Ordered chicken nut salad and they forgot the bread that goes with it. Ordered a salad and it came with a VERY long dark hair - I have short blonde hair. Pre-ordered a raspberry cream pie 3 days ahead of time; confirmed it the day before, so there was plenty of time to make it and let it set. Went to pick up the next morning as scheduled and it wasn't made. Needless to say, in spite of driving as slow and careful as I could, it was a mess when I got it to work. No one would touch it including me because it looked so bad - like vomit. Who doesn't know crème pies have to set? Apparently not Kneader's in Ogden. Maybe if the young folk spent more focused on their jobs instead of flirting with each other in the back there would be less errors. I'm done with Ogden's Kneader's. read more

I came here when I was waiting on some friends. I wanted a snack and thought a bakery was a perfect place to go. I was impressed when I walked in the door and I could buy a big bag of bread ends for like $4-5. I was excited for the next few days when I made french toast and bread pudding with the ends. Went to Kneaders. Not impressed. The carrot cake was 3 parts frosting 2 parts cake. We asked for a to go container for a chocolate cake thing again three parts frosting two parts cake. In order to put the cake in the to go container we had to put it in sideways. The staff was a bit pissy because they had been so busy and ran out of food. Had they been thinking they would have realized that in emergencies people will go out to eat. A local city had a tornado the day before. read more

This place is fantastic. I have to say it's one of my favorite lunch and dinner places to go with my friends. I've never had anything bad at this place, though I know some other people who have had some hit-or-miss situations, particularly with the pastries. With everything being homemade I guess there's bound to be some of those days. They can get really busy inside, but I'm always impressed by how fast the staff is to serve everyone. Even when the line is almost out the door it only takes a few minutes to order and then to get your food brought to your table. My one complaint is that there isn't always enough room for the crowds they bring in and finding a place to sit can be difficult. But overall, I love this place and it's definitely one of my favorites. read more

All I want when I go here is a HOT cup of coffee. Some how I always manage to arrive at the bottom of the pot. I have been in customer service for many, many years and there is a certain standard that I expect. I have worked as a barista making coffee for many years also....i know what it entails and how SIMPLE it is to keep a constant brew going. YOU SERVE SWEETS, MOST PEOPLE LIKE COFFEE WITH THEIR SWEETS. Well maybe not in Utah because people here seem to be really off.... However the rest of the country who lives in REALITY enjoys a cup of hot java with their cake. Now lets talk about customer service......where the heck is it? Is this the bottom of the barrel or what??? I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. I was really frustrated with this place the other morning. Came here for some breakfast and a coffee shortly after they opened (7 am). While we were choosing what we wanted to eat, the manager was at the front counter refunding money for a ruined order (this should have been our first clue). The 2 stars are specifically for the decor and service. The service was friendly (especially considering it was 7 am) and the decor is fitting for a cute bakery. The food: Egg and cheese breakfast sandwich: no sauce AT ALL. Literally egg, a tiny price of cheese on a HALF A SANDWICH....they really do not even bother to give you a whole sandwich. The bread was dried out and crumbly and the egg had absolutely no seasoning. I could have made this sandwich at home for 1/4 of the price and it would've tasted 10x better! Coffee: We ordered a latte with no foam and a mocha with 2 shots.....what we got: a latte with half a cup of foam and a hot chocolate with no coffee whatsoever. I will not be back. They have updated the parking lot situation and it is now much easier to get in and out of the parking lot five stars for that. 2. Being a sucker for focaccia I ordered the FAMOUS | TURKEY BACON AVOCADO ON FOCACCIA $7.99 Slow roasted hand pulled turkey, bacon, kneaders sauce, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, salt & pepper, avocado. This sandwich is huge and packed with fresh roasted turkey breast I was okay with the price this time as I can get two lunches out this one meal. For my special treat I had the chocolate croissant It was not the freshest but still very yummy! I like to think that they made these updates due to constructive criticism from yelpers like us, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!! read more

Service was great and friendly. The cashier was very helpful abot what was in the different salads. We all 3 got our sandwhiches and/or salads very quickly. I had the Chicken ala Mondo salad...boyfriend had a BLT I believe and our friend had a french dip. The salad was amazing! I think that that will be my new go to salad there. They are new, so I cant judge the service too harshly, they were busy and learning the systems and getting a rhythm down. But... MAN.. we waited 15 minutes for a cinnamon roll, cookie, and tart... all already made, all they needed to do was grab them out of the case. The cinnamon roll was stale, the tart was more filling than anything else, but the cookie was delicious. My kids were happy and felt spoiled, but those three items cost us almost $10. Its a novelty. I would rather go to Toppers Bakery across town and spend $10 on an entire BOX of treats- yeah, toppers is a bit gross looking and its full of boxes in the lobby (compared to Kneaders "basket area" what the what is that?!) but frankly, Kneaders is over-hyped from what I've tasted and seen, and not worth the lines and cost. Maybe once construction is done in the area and it isnt such a hassle to get in and out, and its not so novel and busy, I'll give it another shot. read more

My first experience here was amazing. They have a wonderful selection of bakery and pastry products. Fresh bread and a widely diverse menu for a sandwich shop. Kneaders has a pleasant home style feel to the whole restaurant. Simply the atmosphere encourages one to come back. This was my second visit of this property. Todays visit was not quite up to par. Both my and my sons soup were lukewarm. My soup was the loaded baked potato, which was runny and had very few potatoes. Our Sandwiches were good. The bread here is simply amazing. Because the price for a sandwich, small soup and soda is 13 dollars I am expecting little more perfection than Subway. This property could easily be 4 with a few tweaks. read more

I've been to Kneaders before and liked it, but this location is really slow at lunch. The Chicken Salad Croissant was nasty. It was so watery and there was hardly any actual chicken in it. There was like.. apple in it or something. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. But avoid lunch rush if you are in a hurry. And don't get the Chicken Salad. Great location and a warm atmosphere! The employees were polite and helpful, even while we took a long time to decide what we wanted. I got the chicken noodle soup and a key lime tart, both of which were delicious! My boyfriend got a chicken pesto panini, strawberry cheesecake, and a caramel frappé. Kneaders is pretty good. I'd definitely pick it over corner bakery cafe any day because their cleanness outshines them by a land slide. Corner bakery cafe is disgusting. I enjoy kneader's raspberry bread pudding. It's amazing. Most of their desserts are amazing expect their cookies. I've always been disappointed with those. They might look tasty but don't let that fool you, they are as bland and as flavorless as can be. The only REAL complaint I have is their breakfast. Their cinnamon French toast used to be great but the past couple of times I've got it, it's been cold and it just tasted like I was eating a big brick of stale bread. Oh and don't get me started on the so called "omelettes" hahaha now that's a story for the grandkids. I ordered the "Greek" omelette one time and what I got instead was a nasty ass pile of grey colored scrambled eggs with soggy spinach and huge ass chunks of feta cheese. Hmmm now I'm no Gordan Ramsey, but last time I checked an omelette is supposed to take somewhat of a burrito/crepe looking form... Not a previously digested looking mess of who the crap knows what.
