This particular location is hit or miss for me. Not sure why there is such inconsistency. I have eaten here dozens of times. The sandwiches are always good, but the soups are a roll of the dice. The last two visits, we have been disappointed with how few of soup choices they have had. In addition, the soups have not been up to par for some reason; with the biggest complaint being the temperature. The temp of the soups have been lukewarm at best and lack flavor. We aren't quick to complain, so to our own fault, we just deal with it and don't complain. They are definitely short staffed, so the last thing they need is added stress or unhappy customers. I am certain we will return, but have to be honest... they have 2 strikes on their soup. Hopefully there won't be a strike 3. If so, we will be down to just a sandwich or dessert. Pulling for this location to succeed!!! read more

so I ordered three different times when I only meant to do two the first time completely wrong order not a lick of it was a single thing we ordered and that itself took about 30 minutes for a soup and sandwich. I ordered once again for my sick Girlfriend, a regular soup and salad where they spoon the soup into a bowl it's already made and a salad that is the size of your fist took a hour. The cashier must be putting everything in incorrectly and the food runner doesn't even know how to pack things up for a to go order. Whoever manages this store must be about five years old playing with their little Barbie restaurant. Do not come here kneaders blows, anyways food is awful read more

We're not from this area but we love coming here. The food is always so delicious and fresh tasting. We also bought a couple loaves of their Pumpkin bread for when we returned back home from our trip, and it was so good! The service good and they have lots of yummy looking pastries! The whole place is really cute inside. We will definitely be back when we come to visit family again. read more

I went here on my lunch break and I ordered the Chicken Pesto Sandwich. I waited for about 15 minutes. I got my food and got to work. I had forgotten to ask without onions and tomatoes so I open the sandwich to remove them and I see that there's no pesto. I go back to Kneaders (mind you I'm on my lunch). I tell them the problem, the cashier offers to make me a new one and a complimentary dessert. They make me a new one, and the cashier assures me that she checked herself to make sure this one has pesto (dumb of me to trust her). I go to work and see that this one also has no pesto. There's a little bit of green in one of the holes on the bread, but that's all the pesto it has. The images are from the second sandwich. Either they were lazy or out of pesto, but if they were out why not just tell me? read more

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe - Turkey sandwich and potato soup - Desserts Near Me - Ogden, Utah

This location is so lacking -- it's pathetic. I normally love Kneaders. I know it's possible to make their sandwiches without colossal amounts of condiments. I've asked for light condiments and the end result is always the same. Globs and globs of mayo and mustard. I've given this location chance after chance hoping that it was just an off day but nope. I went today and asked for light condiments and for the first time they successfully did that for me--they just forgot to put any lettuce, onion, or tomatoes on. This is just an off location that can't get it right. I'll make the drive to Layton if I really want Kneaders in the future. read more

We enjoyed our family lunch today! I got the BLT, my wife the turkey sandwich and kids got the broccoli cheddar soup. Everyone was satisfied and full. The foods sticks but doesn't make your tummy feel yucky after eating. We will be back! read more

I have been here multiple times and everytime I go there's bad service. The waiters and waitresses have an additude, the food tastes ok and there's always this weed smell and smoke in the air. I do NOT want to eat food that is prepared by people who are high. It's ridiculous. read more

Overpriced hospital food. The store and the food itself are unsanitary. The chef visibly looks like he doesn't wash himself. The janitor girls or whatever up front dress in revealing shirts. The cups are greasy. The tables are oily as well. It smells bad. The employees don't focus and talk way too much. They all smoke weed disposables and puffbars in the kitchen like we can't all see it. It takes them 10 minutes to make 2 sandwiches. This place is disgusting and the only good reviews are definitely from people who are employed there. Plus they charge like $8 for a kids PBJ! How pathetic. read more

The food here tastes wonderful! I would recommend the French toast. With the French toast you get to have as many refills of French toast as you can eat as long as you eat it all in the restaurant. Their service is great, they are really kind and just want you to feel welcome. The people here are so kind and the mood just feels welcoming. They have such a great ambiance. Overall this is a wonderful place to go. read more

Lately, it appears that their overall quality has been on a decline. I was quite disappointed when they removed the Rueben sandwich from their menu, but I understand that menus change. My recent order of the French Dip left much to be desired, as it only contained a single piece of meat. It reminded me of the old Wendy's commercials. read more

Terrible customer service. Ran very inefficiently. Didn't have forks or straws and a lot of food options. Very disappointing overall.

My kids love this place for all their pastries. The soups and sandwiches are great too. However, you will wait a while to get your order. Several times we have waited over 25 minutes to get our pastries and drinks. Seems a bit long to wait for something already made. read more

So inconsistent. I order the same sandwich from here every time I've gone for the last 6 years. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it's abysmal. Tonight was the final straw and the reason I'm writing a review. A $12 sandwich should have enough filling to not look like two pieces of bread just sitting on top of each other with nothing inside. The sandwich is called the Turkey, Bacon and Avocado. There is always one of those things missing or lacking. Tonight it was 2 of the three. Only 1/2 a piece of bacon for the whole sandwich and 1/6 of an avocado. The sandwich should be named tomato, cheese, and lettuce sandwich because that is what you get the most of. They usually do worse when you go through the drive through because they think no one will turn around and/or complain. They are very apologetic when you confront them but never make long term changes. If you want decent portions on your meals eat inside. To save you the heartbreak check all your food at the drive through window to make sure it's correct. Usually they miss at least 2 things. So be vigilant to get your moneys worth. read more

I cannot believe how expensive this place is for what you get. I paid $17 for a salad that had MAYBE 1 oz. of chicken on it....maybe. It did have a fair amount of fruit. I can't have gluten so I opt for salads often. This didn't give me even close to the amount of protein a sandwich would have. I also realized after I left that he didn't ask me what bread I wanted with it. While I wouldn't have eaten, my kids would have loved it! Very disappointing. read more

Delicious pastries, a mandatory stop when visiting Utah. My favorite are fruit tarts.

Awful! Waited almost 20 min in the drive thru---spent $23. This is the absolute worst attempt at an omelet I've ever seen---paper thin eggs burnt little pile of cheese on the bottom and raw broccoli thrown in the middle and covered with the paper layer of eggs! From the reviews it looks like this places service and quality of food is bad---like if you are going to work in food make something that you yourself would eat!!! Bad Bad Bad read more

First, let me say, I like Kneaders, don't get me wrong. Stopped in with friends yesterday for lunch. I ordered the Turkey with cranberry sauce on a croissant. Croissant was stale and barely any Turkey on sandwich . I was very disappointed! I'll go back cause I like Kneaders, but won't order that again. read more

Loved this place! Food and staff were great! Will definitely come back when we are back in town.

Came to kneaders at 7 right when they opened and they stared at us through the door. L service

Wow, I have always loved Kneaders but the 12th St location in Ogden seemed determined not to make me want to go back ever again. There was literally not even one layer of meat on my croissant sandwich or any of the sandwiches we ordered. The balsamic dressing was so disgusting I have no words. It was a solid lump that wouldn't even come out of the cup. And I tried shaking it before the picture too. And we were charged nearly $15 a person! read more

Between higher prices, mix results every visit, and not being open on Sundays... Kneaders wants to cater to one demographic and it's a bit frustrating. Would like to come here for Sunday breakfasts, but you can quickly find answers as to why they aren't open. read more

Management: If you value all of your customers, you need to fix your coffee. It is horrible. I love your bakery items and sandwiches, but your coffee, both fresh and after sitting for hours is not good. Please invest in a better system & coffee brand that delivers better taste. read more

I visited the Ogden location, there were flies all over the food in the display cases, and my first instinct was to leave but I placed my order requesting to have my sweet roll with icing on it. I was given a dried up sweet roll with one small strip of icing and when I asked if they add some icing, I was told they don't do that. I left the roll and vowed never to return. An employee asked if I would like to talk with a manager and I said yes and his response was we do not offer requests basically take it or leave it.. I told him I would not be back and his response was good they did not want me back. Up to that point I was pretty civil but that was the last straw. I told him what he could do with the roll and left. It would have been nice to know they have no customer service before I paid and save the entire unfortunate situation. I do not feel like I was asking much as I know they have gallons of that on hand. I can not understand, not attempting to make your guests happy when the cost would have literally been 2 cents, but I will never be back. read more

Ah this Kneaders is a real disappointment. It seems like every time I go there the bread is pretty stale on our sandwiches. I got a cinnamon roll this morning and it was so inedible! So sad!! It was so unbelievably dry I couldn't finish it. The ones in UT county are definitely higher quality, this one... not so much. read more

came at 7 to get some brekfast... they did not open the doors until 7:30 and stared at me not looking happy.

Don't go for breakfast. If you order a pastry they do not give at the time of order and give what is in the window at time of order to someone else. My husband was completely done with his breakfast sandwich before my smoothie arrived over 20 minutes after ordering. The day old pastry substitute was too dry to eat without any drink. Terrible organization with meal delivery. I doubt if I will ever return read more

Kneaders takes something as simple as fresh baked breads and pastries and parlays them in to some pretty damned good food. Several kinds of bread can be made in to great sandwiches, panini, or served along side homemade soups and salads. Add some good sides like coleslaw, pasta salad, or other goodness and you get a great meal. This isn't McKneaders. You won't find a dollar menu or cheap food. You're going to pay $8ish for a sandwich and another $2-$3 to combo it up with those sides I mentioned. Great news is the food is quality. Real, carved turkey, fresh bread, ripe avocado, special sauces, and from-scratch items make it worth every penny. The sandwiches are big. The only downfall to this is you don't leave a lot of room for dessert! Different bread puddings, pastries, and cookies lure you in to the "oh my gosh I'm full but reeeeaaaalllllyyy need a cookie" mentality. One of my personal selling points here is fresh brewed iced tea. They rotate flavors which gives me something added to look forward to. read more

First off, great personal service from Cody who did a remarkable job in assisting me in creating a gift basket. When you first enter this medium sized business you are immediatly hit with a cacophny of smells that will soon have you ordering more delicous pastry items than you originally intented to. Their display of pastries and breads are well lit and very clean. The line can be pretty long depending on the time you arrive but there are a few samples available of their brieds and pastrys that you can munch on to help past the time. I had the chocolate and banana breads and they were very good. I will update this when I have had more of their items. Their seating area is nice and open so if you feel like having a good cup of joe or tea with a pastry, this would be a great place read more

I like Kneaders like the next person. But, there are a few things that I think could use some improvement. First off, it would be nice if they continue to make the fresh french toast for their $5 breakfast deal throughout the morning. If you get there later in the morning, you get stale French toast. Also, it would be really nice if you didn't get a screw in your bread. I hesitated posting about this because I did reach out to the company directly, but it took a long time for any resolution to be made. Of course they offered a $10 gift card, but if I had broken a tooth on this screw, they would be paying out a lot more to fix my tooth. I quite literally ate a screw. Of course corporate apologized. But it took a long time to get my gift card. I actually had to follow up with them. You think that they would have placed a higher priority on making it right with me. Will I go back? Sure. I like their Saturday night discounts just as much as the next person. I just wish that they had taken it more seriously. This particular love came in a gift basket from a friend and I did not want to mention it to her make her feel badly, so I reached out to them directly. read more

I'm going to start this off by saying I'm a huge fan of kneaders. Admittedly I only really order one thing and that is the French toast. I eat large quantities of food and since its unlimited I LOVE it. It's not just the quantity that is great but the quality. The bread is thick and delicious. I believe it has cinnamon and other things in the bread, so basically it's starting out better than most people's French toast. Then there's the syrup. It's not even fair to call it syrup! It's a delicious Carmel-esque sauce and my goodness it makes me never want to have traditional syrup on pancakes or French toast ever again. The service even on a busy day is polite and prompt. I highly recommend Kneaders to anybody except those with a gluten intolerance. read more

I normally love Kneaders. However, I was in your restaurant the other day and was shocked to see how one of the managers treated a customer who wanted his money back. She was raising her voice and belittling him in front of customers and staff. I felt terrible for the poor customer! When it was my turn to place my order, the girl who assisted me was kind and helpful (I think she said her name was Emily). But again, the same manager came over and was rude to this poor girl as well. Although my meal was delicious, it really bothered me at how rude, sarcastic and condescending this woman was!! When I asked one of the dining room staff what her name was, they said it was "Jasper"? She needs a lesson in civility and customer service..... or better yet, she needs to work somewhere else where good customer service is not essential to the customer experience. read more
