Fresh Plant Based Options Quick kind service Nice seating available I order to go Looking forward to the pickled tomato season. I use the bagels to make stuffing/dressing around the holiday season.

Having just arrived in Philadelphia for a long weekend trip I was in need of a little pick me up. Walked by Knead Bagels and thought I would give it a try. Had my first togarashi bagel with egg cheese and Canadian bacon which came with sweet chili pickles. Odd combo especially seeing I am pick about pickles in my sandwiches. But this was surprisingly good that I came back for a second one the next morning. Smaller than the usual bagels you get in NYC but well worth it.

Cute local Philly bagel shop! They have ample seating inside the restaurant and a few tables outside. The cashier was friendly and knew the menu well. I like that they have a bagel of the day! My bagel was toasted perfectly with the right amount of cream cheese. They may have manhattan bagels beat!

Right down Walnut Street from my medical appointment, Knead Bagels filled my need for a late morning nosh after good news from my doc. The deep narrow rounder house was not yet in lunch mode, so I was able to order, pay and wait for construction of a Guajillo Chili Bagel w Roasted Veggie Cream Cheese, and slide out the door before the tidal wave of lunch rush. Service was fine and dandy and I had bag in hand for departure in under five minutes. The bagel itself had a subtle chili flavor that succeeded through understatement. The cream cheese had a red tint from the use of red bell pepper in the soft mix. The texture may have been more dense than I prefer due to over-kneading, but the shop's name implied this might be the case. Won't hold that against them, but I do imagine how it would have been stellar had there been air pockets throughout to allow the baked dough to be more airy. Still, a very good bagel in a tiny hole in the wall that gives old center city such charm.

Pretty good bagels for a bagel shop in Philly. I'm used to bagels in Manhattan. It wasn't a Manhattan bagel but it was still good. I would definitely come back for their specials. I just wish they had more bagel options here.

This place has limited hours and is closed Sunday and you can tell why, the food is AMAZING!! Every time I go here for lunch I am so happy with the service, the freshness of the food and the different items that they offer. They have different kinds of bagels that I've never heard of, their whitefish salad is probably the best In the city. They have dine in , takeout and outdoor seating. it's always a very relaxed vibe in here in the music is great. The staff is excellent as well very personable. Highly recommend if you can get here in time!!

Good bagel, fluffy and a bit chewy! Great flavor on the everything. Fish tasted fresh and easy to bite, toppings were good. Not too heavy on the schmear. Loved it!

I can't say enough good things about this place. Probably the best bagel I've had in the city. I go 2 to 3 times per week and it never disappoints. They have really interesting specials and the workers take the time to explain. Super nice people. Fried Long hot cream cheese on a togarashi bagel..... You won't be disappointed Never toasted!

FOOD We ordered a BLT on everything and and egg/cheese/sausage on everything. They were absolutely delicious despite a couple downsides. The bacon on the BLT had a jerky-like consistency and wasn't oily, which I loved, and the sausage reminded me of Vietnamese marinated pork than the typical American sausage. They were flavorful and intense. The cheese was also melted nicely with the egg. My caveat is that the seasoning on the everything bagel easily dusts off, so there's not much left on it when you bite into it. I ended up dusting some on with each bite instead. The other downside is that there isn't much bacon on the BLT, and the prices are on the higher side. ($8+ for a BLT!!!) SERVICE Service is quick, and the staff are friendly. AMBIANCE Ample seating is available inside with a couple tables outside as well. It can get crowded quite easily, so it's more of a grab-and-go place since Washington Square Park is nearby. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity. Parking garages are also nearby due to its close location to Penn and Jefferson health systems.

I love the name. Stopped by to grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Ordered the lox on Togarashi with scallion lime spread. I enjoyed all ingredients. I might try ordering the bagels by themselves next time to get a better taste of them. Service was quick and timely. There are a few tables inside, and some outside. Nice morning stop in Washington square.

I love this bagel shop! I'm an avid bagel eater (bring me the carbs idc!) and this place always gets it right. The bagels are slightly crisp on the outside and taste straight out the oven with a soft slightly chewy interior. I never get them toasted they're just right without tasting stale. True bagel. The breakfast sandwiches are exceptional due to the Garlic Alioli they use on them. A good BEC can't be dry so I usually add ketchup to mine but this aioli beats ketchup for me any day! They also use good ol' cooper sharp american cheese so you know I like to get extra and make is super cooper sharp cheesy like many Philadelphians likes their cheesesteaks. The service is always friendly and I've been coming for about 3 years and have seen staff changes but always remain welcoming. Definitely a bagel spot to check out. 10/10!

My favorite bagel spot in Philly! Unique options for bagels and spreads, plus the classics if you're not feeling adventurous. I LOVE the old bay chicken salad (with potato chips in it)! Knead had the nicest staff around and orders move pretty quickly. I usually order ahead to stop by for a pickup, but there is indoor and outdoor seating available. Pair your bagel with their freshly squeezed orange juice!

Friendly staff, good taste, recommended. Bagels are full of taste, thinner than other bagels but that makes sandwiches easier.

I had the turkey on wheat with American cheese. I opted for the Russian dressing since I'm not a fan of hot deli mustard. I had it toasted panini style. The service was quick, friendly and you could tell they took pride in what they were doing. My wife opted for the pastrami on wheat with may and provolone cheese, also panini style. She had potato salad as a side and the coleslaw. Both were good. The Marketplace is a very large (formerly Penn Station) turned open market area covering food, produce, meat market, flowers, artisans etc. A wonderful place. We originally ordered just one sandwich to share, but it was so good that we ended up going back for another one. The pastrami was flavorful, tender, and packed generously into the sandwich. Highly recommended if you're visiting Reading Market, definitely one of the standout food spots there.

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The corned beef was an enticing vibrant pink, tender and juicy, with a perfectly balanced and pure saltiness that accentuated the beef's natural flavor. The scrambled eggs were incredibly smooth and creamy, complemented by the rich, melted cooper sharp cheese. The rye was toasted with butter, giving it a thin, crispy crust and a soft interior--a bit softer than Hershel's East Side Deli's, fragrant but not greasy. Every part was delicious, and the combination was harmonious and delightful. The portion of ingredients was very generous, definitely worth the $14.50 price. The service was a little slow, but the moment you tasted it, you would forgive everything!
