I wish these things could be said the first time instead of having to call 3 different days to get 3 different answers. The communication is terrible and seems like they don't know what they're doing. I wouldn't have an issue if these things were told in the first call i made. Ive been needing PT and its been beyond a hassle to get a referral after they recommended someone. I had a good experience in my first visit but this just voids that good visit. I recently started seeing her at the beginning of 2020. I like her bedside manner. I've had some doctors baby me and I've had some talk down to me like I don't know anything. Dr. Weston does neither. She speaks to you like an equal. She takes the time to answer any questions you have in depth and I don't feel rushed when I asked extra questions or ask for more information about something. I always leave my appointments with her feeling very informed (and with notes!). I never feel confused about the status of my health. She's a good doctor and I recommend her.

As others here have noted, one never feels that he's in a rush to wrap up his time with you and move on. He takes time to engage in a conversation with you, to listen to your concerns and questions, and to address them thoroughly. For me, good communication is the most important quality I look for in a primary care doctor, aside from a basic confidence in his/her competence. Dr. Killian has helped me better understand my various medical issues and articulates his treatment goals and methodologies in an exceptionally thorough and understandable manner. I have a fantastic cardiologist who is also an excellent communicator, but I have often found myself with Dr. Killian explaining and helping me understand my heart issues more completely than I would listening to my cardiologist alone. He is thorough in integrating test results and other information from the cardiologist (and other specialists) into my patient records to maintain a complete understanding of all my ongoing medical issues. I could scarcely ask for more than that. His group practice, Red River Family Practice, is well-run, and I have encountered very few of the office/administrative frustrations I have at similar group practice offices. Reading some other less-than-positive reviews here, I'm reminded that no single physician is likely to be the right fit for every patient, each with their unique concerns and expectations. That said, Dr. Killian is a perfect fit for my priorities and expectations, and his competence and professionalism provide a rock-solid foundation to support those preferences.
