Dr. Childers is the best doctor I've ever seen and given that I am nearly 46 years old, I've seen a few through the years. The first time I ever saw him, it was for a problem with an asthma/bronchitis flare up I was experiencing and I couldn't get in to see my regular doctor or the nurse practitioner. Even though I came in knowing exactly what I needed, he still did a thorough workup, sent me over for a chest x-ray to make sure I didn't have developing pneumonia and then wrote out the needed scripts. The next time I saw him was a year later, when I again couldn't get in to see my regular doctor and remembered he was kind an thorough. This time, it was a recurrent stomach issue and he sat down and talked through everything that was going on, did a flow chart on a piece of paper ruling out things as he went along. He ordered blood work to rule out H Pylori and when he got the results back later that day, he personally called me to give me the results. Then yesterday, I couldn't get in to see my gastro because they've cancelled several appointments on me due to scheduling situations. I was about to run out of a script that had been working wonders and guess what, couldn't get in to see my regular doc. Again, Dr. Childers to the rescue. I explained my situation and brought the empty bottle with me- he said he would not only do a refill to get me through the next visit with the gastro but given my issues at having appt's cancelled, he would give me plenty of time to make it happen. Script was waiting at Walgreen's an hour later. Seriously, if there is better service out there, better bedside manner, polite and respectful interaction with patients, I don't know who it is... I told him on the way out, if you ever decide to go back into general practice, call me and I'll gladly be your first patient. He's a great guy and I'm very glad to have him as my Plan B, though I wish he were Plan A.
I will also say this for the docs I've seen at ARC, which is 3 or 4 of them now- they've all been very good. read more
