Ths is a giant lounge with a lot of sections. They have all the basic amenities you would expect including hot food and a lot of different drinks. It was also super busy and I am glad I got a seat. I had around an hour to kill and was thankful to have this as an option. Plus points for faster wifi than the free airport option.

    Carpets stained

Upstairs is nice and bright with a good view but that brightness shows the imperfections. The rugs are stained and under the furniture needs to be vacuumed. The staff can be a bit loud just talking behind the bar when lounges are usually quieter.

The lounge is very large and busy the day I checked was here . There is a smoking room in the back separated by doors. However , I could still smell smoke when I was near it . I was able to find a spot away from the smoking room, so I never Had to deal with the odor. The bar has Heineken On tap and a wide range of foods including, snacks, salads, sandwich items and traditional dinner and lunch meals . The best part was being able to take a shower ! You need to take a number, so it took me about 30 minutes to get a shower . The even provided a shaving kit, toothbrush kit and comb . Overall a good experience .

Dutch coffee, bokkepootje, stroopwafels, and speculaas. Yum.

Huge lounge that is a great place to relax and do some work, especially when you arrive outside peak hours. However, it fills up for the morning flight rush and at those times it can get a bit hectic. There are showers, a few quiet areas, plenty of stuff to read, and food to snack. There are desks for working, various seating areas, and helpful staff at the front desk.

The KLM lounge is a favorite of ours when traveling overseas You have to love the simple but fresh food offerings and open bar Nothing better than a Mimosa at 6am when jet lagged

A nice, spacious lounge with a good selection of seats, food, and business areas. It's got a nice check-in counter to handle things like flight changes, seat changes, upgrades, and showers, with a DMV-style ticket queue. However, when it's busy, the wait for a shower can take up to 1-1.5 hours which is a little hard for in-transit people. The view outside the windows is pretty bad, you see some operations areas for the terminal and a giant walkway that blocks any view of the tarmac. It's also incredibly cold when it's cold outside. A nice stopover, but nothing to write home about.

Unfortunately, as time has gone on, the experience has really started to slide. It's the flagship lounge for KLM's home hub, but honestly, it's becoming a bit embarrassing for the brand. The biggest issue is the overcrowding. It feels more like a busy train station than an exclusive retreat. What's most frustrating is that they have that expensive "Blue" pay-to-eat restaurant taking up a massive chunk of the upper level. It's usually half-empty while everyone else is downstairs cramped together. If they just integrated that space back into the regular lounge area, it would breathe so much life back into the place. As for the food, it's just aggressively average. You'd think a flagship lounge would showcase some high-quality dining, but it feels very "mass production" and lacks any real flavor or variety. Then there's the cleanliness/pest issue. On my last visit, I actually saw a mouse zip across the floor. I know Schiphol has a well-known reputation for a mouse problem because of its location and age, but seeing one in what is supposed to be a "premium" lounge is still a major turn-off. KLM really needs to step it up. Between the crowds, the average snacks, and the uninvited furry guests, it's just not the world-class experience it used to be. They could--and should--do a lot better than this.

The interior is modern and perhaps a bit futuristic, a lot of white shiny surfaces but still warm and inviting due to brown fabrics, fake fireplace, etc... The lounge provides an excellent way to relax before a flight. The Food and Beverage offerings change through the day to match with people's needs for the particular time of day. Their is usually soup, warm savoury snacks, cheeses, fresh olives, two types of salads, fresh bread buns, cheese, meat, etc. At certain times of the day there are also nice sweet offerings, like macaroons, chocolate cake, etc. The products on offer are always of good quality and are tasty. The fizzy drinks are nicely presented in small bottles (no no 'post mix' taps) in fridges and I have never seen an empty fridge. I'm not much of a wine drinker so I can't comment on the choice of wines nor about their quality. There is a good WIFI connection, downloading a tv show from iTunes doesn't take very long (though the speed will obviously vary). Toilets are clean, one very spacious near the end of the lounge and smaller ones near the entrance. A nice enough selection of magazines and international newspapers. The lounge offers speedy border passage with their dedicated security lanes (they can be a lifesaver) for both Schengen countries as non-Schengen countries (iris scan). All in all, if you travel regularly through Schiphol this lounge offers good value! There are extra services for car owners who want to park as close to the runway as possible. As I don't have a car I can't comment on those...

It's chaotic. Then there's the gridlocked passport section itself, with biometric gates only for EU countries, so e-passports from the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, etc., get lumped in with all the rest -- unlike at most airports. With only three windows open, it doesn't help that the officials are so darn chatty, either. The place looks rundown, with lots of strange noises akin to someone rolling giant bowling balls upstairs. The climate control is terrible, too. (That might be connected to the weird noises.) Schiphol actually makes Los Angeles International Airport seem not so shambolic -- that's how bad it is.
