I've been to KLM Crown Lounge 25 several times now, and my experience always boils down to one thing: timing. Since I mostly fly long-haul, I'm used to the bigger Lounge 52, so this one always feels a bit like the "lite" version of the KLM experience.
When you catch this lounge during off-peak hours, it's actually a perfectly fine place to wait. It's clean, the staff is generally pleasant, and you can actually find a corner to yourself to get some work done or grab a coffee. The food is basic--think standard buffet snacks and Dutch staples--but it does the job if you just need a quick bite before a short flight.
However, during peak hours? Forget about it. It becomes absolute chaos. It's much smaller than the non-Schengen lounge, and when the European flight bank hits, it feels like everyone is on top of each other. Finding a seat becomes a competitive sport, and the "premium" feel completely evaporates.
If you have a choice, try to schedule your visit for the quiet windows. Otherwise, it's just a very crowded room with some average cheese and crackers. It's okay for what it is, but definitely don't go out of your way to get here early if the airport is busy! read more
