Took my computer in because the bottom corner of my screen was separating from the frame. It was completely a hardware issue and the software shouldn't have been messed with but when I got it back, my computer that used to be a touch screen wasn't anymore. I asked if they could fix it or refund me and they said no because the waiver I signed said they weren't liable for any damage to the computer while fixing it. So make sure to read the waiver. If I could give a zero star rating I would. I took my iPhone in to get a new battery, the phone was fine but the battery was getting weak. $85 later I was out the door with my phone which was working. I went straight to my truck, drove straight back to work, went straight to my office and plugged the phone in to charge the new battery. By the way, it wasn't raining, there were no puddles on the ground, there was no water or drinks in my truck or at my desk, the phone was never exposed to anything liquid. After about 3 hours I came out of the building I was in, back to my office and woke the phone up, the screen had 3 green vertical lines through it and then went black. The phone was still working but the screen was dead. I took the phone back to Klamath Technology and they said they would look at it but the tech was out and wouldn't be back for 45 min. I left the phone with them and got a call about 1hr later; here's the good part, they stated that my phone was full of water. So, I went back in and was told that when the phone came in the first time for service, there were no water sensors tripped but now they all were tripped. From this point on, the customer service was horrible, for about 10 min I was told that I was lying and that the phone was fine when it left so it must be my fault. Read above if you need to know what and where my phone did/went in the 3ish hours it was in my possession. Never was any attempt made or offered to fix the problem. Let me lay out a couple of possible scenarios and you decide for yourself what happened, 1. My phone magically sucked water, from the air, through the case seal, which BTW the CS rep said was intact, after coming nowhere near any actual moisture or, 2. My phone screen was damaged during repair and instead of owning it and offering a fix, "magic water" is sprinkled on the water sensors and the business has zero liability..... After I suggested this as a possibility, the CS rep told me to get out and I said "well what am I supposed to do with this phone?" His answer was, "we can put a new screen in". I said, "didn't you say the phone had water all inside of it"? "Doesn't seem like the phone will work reliably any more". His answer, "oh no, just the screen doesn't work". Hmmmmm, seems like a weird statement from a phone that supposedly was full of water. Bottom line, I highly recommend not going here for any services, I'm out the $85 for the battery, my phone is worthless as a trade in (which Verizon just said would be about $600) and I don't have a phone for the next couple of days. read more

This may be my first ever negative review I've ever left . I try hard to practice kindness and understanding and most always can see both sides . I do not lightly speak poorly of a business as we own a business and I understand there are two sides, and most people are good . This was our honest experience .. My son ( a student) had a small crack in the screen of his lenova Chromebook . We bought him this for school In late sept for $510 . The device worked perfectly but my son has a job and since it was no new he wanted to take care of the screen to further protect the investment He brought it in to Klamath Technology Services and they said they could fix it . The part would be 165 and the labor 55. They opened it and confirmed it worked perfectly internally and documented this in the paperwork . After weeks of issues with them ordering the wrong part and waiting on UPS etc , they finally contacted him and told him that somehow the backlight broke and they had to order a new one. More weeks go by and eventually they say the motherboard is fried and it can't be repaired . It can only be plugged in to an external device like a computer to work . So now the laptop doesn't work at all . Still has a cracked screen, etc . My husband called and they said we were lucky they were returning his 165 as that is not their policy . Due to fine print on their contract , they are not responsible in any way if they break your device . Bottom line . We tried to reason with them that they should either return it in the working condition given to them or give him the money to buy a new one . They took NO responsibility . Looking at google reviews this has happened so many times . Their fine print protecting their bad business practices . I understand things happen, but make it right . That is the right thing to do . He is a student , he doesn't have a lot of money . I'm so disappointed in them . I sent my Ipad to Klamath Tech and it was returned with issues that were not part of the original problem. When we took it back they took of the screen and said "it is cracked we will not warranty it". Where did the crack come from? How do we know they did not send it home that way? All I know is I sent it in for a new screen and it came home with the right side of the screen not working. I had a blue screen that the manufacturer wanted me to send the unit back to them. The computer is a very expensive laptop for CAD programming so I decided to try these guys. My MacBook Pro is 10 years old and it was giving me fits! The disc player wasn't working and it was always giving me an error when it would start up. I have had problems finding someone who was knowledgable with Apple Computers. One shop was a good friend but he told me he didn't know a lot about the Mac's and then I walked into a well known shop on Main Street and all I said was, "Hi, I have a MacBook and" that's all I got out when he said, "Oh I'm sorry!" trying to be funny and letting me know he didn't like Mac's. Well I turned around and left. Didn't even let him look at it or finish my sentence. Frustrated and thinking of going to the Apple store in Medford, I wrote an email to Klamath Technology. The owner got right back to me and I felt confident so I would try one more shop in town. I'm so glad I did! Steve, my tech guy was fast, efficient and very friendly. We went to in to have an iPhone factory reset and they told us they couldn't do anything with out having the Apple ID information that is on the phone. Why? If I went to a Verizon or ATT store I wouldn't need an Apple ID right away. I could create one. read more

This is the second time I have had a printer problem that Staples, the only major office supplies and machines provider in Klamath Falls and the store I bought the printer from won't and can't repair. The first time was a paper jam which they readily repaired. This time the printed product was very poor and was determined to be poor after market ink cassette. During this time I messed up my home internet service. After a night of frustration I called Klamath technology and spoke with owner, Jimmy. He scheduled a visit the next day saying he would bring my very heavy laser printer with him. He arrived at the agreed time, installed the printer and easily repaired my system. His prices are more than fair and his service is beyond excellent. I will use Klamath technology again and would highly recommend this company. read more

I was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and "repair" of my apple MacBook. My mac abruptly stopped working and was giving me the "apple wheel of death." I am not local to the Klamath area, and had previously not needed to use a computer repair shop. I did some research and Klamath Technology was one of the few places that would work on Mac products. I was hoping to use someone local to minimize the time it would take to get my computer back and running. Klamath Tech took a week and a half to look at and diagnose my computer. Apparently the person who was trained to work on apple products was "out of town." After an extended waiting time, I was contacted and was told my hard drive was "bad." They were able to replace my hard drive and transfer my data. Two months later I went to re-boot my computer and again, wheel of death. I took my computer back in yet for another repair. This time they were extremely poor at communicating with me. Each time I would call to check on the status of my computer, I would talk to a different person who seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. Each time I was given a different story or was told that the person working on it was not available. I eventually got a call that the "motherboard was bad" and told to buy a new computer. I asked if there was a way to replace the motherboard, or what other options I had. They explained it wasn't worth the price and to buy a new computer. I went and picked up my computer and took it home. My boyfriend decided to do some research to see if he could replace the motherboard himself, and discovered that my hard drive was no longer in the computer. I quickly called Klamath Tech and they reported that I could come back to the shop to pick it up. The tech at the front desk appeared nervous and unorganized. He explained to me that they keep most hard drives on "bad computers" to "destroy them." I thought this was interesting considering the first time I took my computer in they gave me my old, 'dead' hard drive back. This seemed extremely sketchy and made me question their integrity and reliability. I ended sending my computer to apple and they ended up replacing my battery and it is working great. I am extremely dissatisfied and feel taken advantage of. Klamath Tech charged me upwards of $250 to unsuccessfully fix my computer when apple was able to replace a few minor things and have my computer up and running. I would not recommend them due to their questionable integrity and lack of knowledge regarding apple products. read more

Went in to get my iPhone screen repaired because I was visiting from Southern California. They would have to order the parts but I won't be here in time. The guy took his time to use clear packing tape and patch my screen up then cut around the home button and speaker. He didn't charge anything but got us set up so I wouldn't cut my fingers on my screen until I can get home to repair it. GREAT SERVICE THAT YOU DONT FIND THESE DAYS!!! read more

I couldn't be happier with Jimmy and his staff. Because of the nature of my business, my computers never leave the office. But Jimmy always finds a way to fit in a visit whenever it's needed. My computers are well maintained and I never have to worry about what happens if a problem should arise. I tried using someone else a few years ago and was basically called an idiot. This place has provided me with a graphics card and power supply in a span of 2-3 days which is much faster than online. It also has very friendly employees/manager both which are very knowledgeable about what they are talking about. If you go to Staples you may find that they can help you, but up to a degree. This place is highly recommended to me and I would recommend it to any other gamer in Klamath, but here comes the bad part. Get ready to pay a bit of extra because there prices aren't going to be different than any other computer store you can find. I guess since there prices are the same as other places they still are the best around practically anywhere in Southern Oregon. Seriously the worst service ever! If I could rate it A zero I would. I took my computer in there just to get cleaned up I wasnt having any problems with it, I just wanted to make sure it was clean of viruses. When I got it back all my music and half my pictures were deleted. Then when I tried to get on the Internet I got so many pop-ups that I had never gotten before so I took it back the next day and the guy tried to say it was my fault and it was the website that I visited. But they were all the same sites I had gone on before and I've never gotten these pop-ups or problems. As well as certain sites and video will not open on my computer now, so I can no longer do school work or go to my works webpage. After I showed and told him what was going on he basically refused to fix my computer. I lost out on a 100 bucks and now will probably have to spend another 500 to get a new computer. Oh and not to mention when I got back my laptop my WebCam didn't work either. I would not recommend their services at all, their a scam!!! read more

I work in the cellular industry and this is a terrible business many customers get over charged treated very poorly and two of the repairs on screens that were done there with my immediate family just fell off the device and they would not stand behind their shotty workmanship. I would not recommend this business to anyone. The waiver that you sign when you bring your electronic device in for service simply states in their own words that they can destroy your property and not be held responsible for it. Told me diagnostic would be 1 day and it took them 6 days and returned my computer in disarray, killed 1 of my 3 hard drives that was just for storage, and the worst part is, I told them the repair that needed to be done and I was told they would have to do a quick diagnostic to make sure that it just needed a repair on the OS. When they gave my computer back it only did blue screen of death and in the 5 years of owning the computer it had never did a blue screen of death with XP or Win7. read more

My tower (ASUS) recently stopped working/turning on for me, and upon a good recommendation from my daughter I took my tower to Klamath Technology Services to see if it was fixable. Steve was working that day and he was very friendly, quite knowledgeable on computers, hardware, software, etc. My ex husband dabbled in computers and building them so I have an ok working knowledge of hardware and software, etc and had a fairly good idea what was wrong with my tower. It turned out to be the power supply and a sketchy fan on my video card. The great thing is Steve was able to make the repairs while I waited, invited me to watch, pointed out my problems, offered me the best choices and prices of new parts, i.e. the power supply and video card. I was there maybe an hour if not less and came away with an awesome price for all. Again I have a bit of knowledge on software, hardware, since the tower I was having repaired was a bare bones kit so I had made the purchases for parts when it was being put together from Tiger Direct and New Egg, so had a fair knowledge on prices and parts. This was the first time I had to do a repair of any kind on my tower since it was built back in December of 2010 so I was very very happy with the parts, service and price of my repair and would recommend Klamath Technology Services to anyone who would ask if I know of a place to go for repairs or even parts or accessories, which I saw that they carried in their store for purchase. They have a nice line of Logitech products which I would recommend, since I use those, (my keyboard, mouse and headset). I use my commuter for online classes (master's program), I love online gaming (World of Warcraft) when I am not at work that is so my computer is needed (school) and desired (wow) and is a way to keep in touch with family (facebook) so Steve come up and going right away and a good price so stop by and see them for repairs or to purchase accessories, parts, used towers, etc. Oh and don't forget my daughter went there for repairs on her lap top and was happy with them enough to send her Mom to them :) read more
