Klaben Ford Lincoln, Kent, Ohio -- 5 stars, without hesitation. I have never in my life felt this way about a car dealership. Not once. But what Klaben Lincoln Ford did for me during the worst days of my life is something I will never forget. It started as a routine service issue with my vehicle and my tires. What could have turned into a fight instead turned into people doing the right thing -- they looked at my concerns seriously and stood behind the work. Then, in the middle of all of it, my partner had a heart attack and went into a coma. They had been trying to reach me and I simply couldn't talk about a car. When I finally called back and told them what was happening, my service advisor, Michael Brandvold, told me to take all the time I needed. He offered a 50% discount on the tires and told me to keep the rental so I wouldn't have to worry about tire trouble while I was driving back and forth to the hospital. That alone was more kindness than I expected from anyone, let alone a dealership. My partner died a few days later. When I called Michael to tell him, he offered the most sincere condolences and then told me he had spoken with the owner -- and that they had all decided not to charge me for anything. Not the repair. Not the tires. Nothing. They didn't do it for a review or for business. They did it because they wanted to help someone who was in the worst pain of her life. I have to admit that I always dread when it is time to purchase a vehicle. However, my experience at Klaben was fantastic. Danny Sawyer was our salesman and I cannot say enough about him. I was not really sure which vehicle that I wanted to purchase. However, Danny's expertise perception as well as his customer service attitude was a great help in choosing the right vehicle for me and stay within my budget. His colorful personality and professionalism made buying this car a very pleasant experience. He took the time to thoroughly explain all of the financing options available to me, of which I chose leasing. I was never a fan of leasing, however I felt very confident in my decision after reviewing all of the details. One last comment about Danny--- After being there for several hours and close to dinner time, he purchased dinner for me, my husband and daughter. He truly went above and beyond the call of duty during the entire process. We also worked with Dave Mott and Jennifer Bowen. They both were another example of outstanding customer service and professionalism. It was after closing and Dave was so kind to go over all the details of the car. Jennifer was very pleasant and made sure I understood every document that I signed. The sales area and showroom were absolutely pristine. After seven years and over 140,000 miles on our car, we knew it was time to get a new car. We did not however really relish the idea of taking on a payment again. On July 2nd, we came to Klaben Ford on a referral and asked to speak to Rich Klaben. We did not have an appointment but he came out to speak to us. He, along with our salesperson Danny Sawyer, spent over a half hour talking with us about our questions and needs and offered advice and guidance. With the payment we told them we wanted to stick to and the Ford Escape we were interested in in mind, Danny spent about seven hours from start to finish with us! Even staying after the dealership closed to get the car finalized! He was not only patient, knowledgeable, and understanding of our particular situation, but he made the day fun by talking and joking around with us and our kids! To make car buying fun, along with staying in the budget number we gave him for the car we wanted, says a lot about how hard he and this dealership works to help their customers! Buying a new car is stressful, for everyone. This is not my first new car, I have bought many over the course of 20 years and in several different states. I have never had a more wonderful experience buying a car than I did at Klaben Ford. Don Batten and Dave Mott not only made the process stress-free but enjoyable. They put all my nerves at ease. Hands down best buying experience on a car I have ever had. My Girlfriend needed to get out of her older car, after asking around in focus community I am apart of, Buddy Moore provided awesome information and I ended up talking to him about purchasing a new 2017 Escape SE for her. Most of our communication was via email and he made it extremely simple. He provided me with a few different vehicles and once talking it over with my girlfriend we decided on one. As everyone knows negotiations on the price of the new vehicle and the price of your trade is usually a extremely stressful and annoying process. Buddy got us a great deal on the Escape and gave us a very good price on our trade in for her 2012 focus with next to no hassle, which got us in the monthly price range we were looking for. 2019 Lincon Natulis My check engine light has been on since 4300 miles.parts on back order.8 monts. They reset it 4 times each time said it was fixed. Replaced purge valve next day light came on again. called them ok make an appointment I did Oh we can't do anything with a full tank of gas have to reschedule. I told them. 9 oil changes light was on. Was Told them we don't have time to check it out. you have to Make a 3-hour appointment. I did 2 week wait. Came in at 9:30 for a oil change Engine light and alignment had a 10am appointment. 1:30 oh It's the purge valve again. Now 42k it's not under warranty. I told them they knew about it since it had 4300 milles. And the check Engine light has been on everytime I came in here for schedule maintenance. Oh we didn't know but we can help u out on the shop hours. Nope, no thanks ok is my car done? Nope, we only check on Engine light . 4 hours wait to get a car wash and telling me the same thing they already had fixed 5 times before. Wanted to change me diagnostic fee. I told him no way. I told u what the issue was since 4300 miles Won't be going back. read more

This is the second vehicle we bought from Ty Davis at Klaben Ford in 3 months. It started with a routine oil change on our 2015 Focus at the Warren location, my wife and I were wandering around the showroom and the outside lot and decided we wanted to take a new F-150 for a ride. We instantly fell in LOVE with the truck and decided to give Ty a call as he is by far the sales associate I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Upon arrival Ty met us at the door and we told him what we were looking for and what the payment should be. We drove a white 2015 ext cab F150 and took a ride to the lower lot to see all of the colors available, we ended up choosing the Race Red color (which actually is the same as our Focus). When it came down to the bottom dollar there was no disappointment at all, the Sales Manager Jim Bills made sure we had the right dollar amount on our trade to make it work. Horrible experience all around. Everyone is generally nice until they don't like what they hear. I leased a Ford Focus which ended up having clutch issues and shuddered upon acceleration. They don't make those models anymore for that reason. When I decided to lease from someone I could trust, my rep Roscoe became malicious and short with me. He would cut me off when I was talking and started calling me "kid," meaning to be degrading. I'm with Toyota now and finally feel taken care of regardless of my decisions. read more

I purchased my 2017 Focus back in March, so Klaben was the go to place when my son's vehicle was on its last leg. This was the first purchase for my son, no hand me down this time. It was so easy! We went with a used car. Tyler was fast to reply (even answered one of my emails on Christmas Day! Say whaaaat?) We found a 2014 Focus with only 14k miles and certified pre-owned. What a reassuring check list they cover. They took his old Taurus (saved us from worrying about how to get rid of it), transferred his plates right over (he just got them in November, so that was a relief) and off he went! I went to Klaben Ford in Kent with my husband. We had called to say that we were interested in the 2015 Ford Fusion, which had some awesome rebates on it. Upon arriving, our salesman, Tom Nicodemus, a very professional, polite, and knowledgeable young man, had already brought one of them up front so we could go on a test drive right away. We loved it! We did look at other Fusions on the lot, but Tom had listened to what we needed and the one he brought us to test drive is the one that we wound up buying. "Buddy" was a great salesman. Never pressured me into the sale and took the time to thoroughly research and answer all of my questions regarding the Ford Focus. I felt comfortable with him and appreciate him laughing at my stories. I was not planning to go home with the car that day because I had a car full of cases of fruit from a fundraiser that needed to be delivered over the weekend. He offered to follow me home with my old car and help me unload it. Many salespeople come off as sleazy, and it seems like they will say anything to get that commission.
