This one is located in Heartland Centre, which can get pretty hectic, depending on when you go. I went on a Sunday afternoon, which wasn't bad. I got a parking spot fairly close to the store. For a while, I have been looking for a funnel. I have a number of water bottles that have a narrow opening. I like to load hot tea and iced tea in these bottles that keep their temperature for many hours (12 hours for hot and 24 hours for cold beverages). One of the staff there asked me if I needed any help. He found them a few steps away from where I was. I was so close to the funnels! I thanked him for the help. I got three silicone, colourful funnels for $6. If you subscribe to the store's mailing list, you get even more discounts and exclusive offers. I love this store. It's clean and bright. I'd come back just for the helpful staff, including the woman who cashed me out. (142)

My order was for a stand mixer that was out of stock Canada wide except at this store. Before placing the order I had some questions about the product/model so I called customer service line to ask some questions. Leanne from customer service helped answer all my questions and was very knowledgable about the particular mixer I was asking about. After I got off the phone with customer service I went ahead and placed my order online. An hour later customer service left me a voicemail asking me to call in to verify my identity and credit card information prior to order shipment. So I called back and Leanne answered again and mentioned that this is their standard policy for relatively large purchases like the one I was making and it is for my protection, again much appreciated and personable customer service. Leanne promised to personally follow up on my order to make sure it gets shipped out promptly. The order got shipped out before the end of the day. It shipped via Canada post and arrived in approx. 1.5 weeks. Received the product and found everything in the package as promised. The box was in pretty good condition and didn't appear to have been mishandled or abused at the warehouse or during shipping. The unit was brand new and looked better than the same unit that I bought and returned to Sears because it appeared to have been opened. They even left a thank you note in the box which again was very personable and nice to see. Overall my experience with this store and customer service has been very pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to place another online order with this store in the future.

For the longest time, I have wanted a Sodastream machine. I like the idea of making my own fizzy drinks and feeling classy sipping them. I like the thought of reducing the number of cans and bottles I use when buying pop and sparking drinks. Every little bit helps. I noticed in my inbox that Bed Bath & Beyond had a $20 coupon of an entire order. I decided to use it towards my new Sodastream machine. I also ordered a bottle of raspberry mint syrup to get started on my adventure making fizzy drinks. I ordered online and used my coupon to get $20 off my order. I chose to pick up both items. The minor problem? The Sodastream model that I wanted was available at my local Markham location and not at this store. My raspberry mint syrup was in stock here, but not at the Markham store. Yes, I visited two different Bed Bath & Beyond stores within two hours. It was nice getting reacquainted with them. This store is with a bunch of box stores, including Winners, PetSmart, Best Buy, and more. There was plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. I browsed around the store. It was clean and bright. I looked at hand sanitizer and masks, and planted myself in the small appliances section for the longest time. I went to the pickup counter. My wait wasn't long. I gave the woman my name and a brief description of my item. She went to a couple of locked cabinets to fetch my bottle of beverage syrup. I provided photo ID (yay to an expired driver's licence that is valid these days during this pandemic) and the bottle was mine. I thanked her and left. On my way out the door, I was mesmerized by a cute Sun Bum ape mascot holding a tube of lip balm. I looked like such a tourist taking a photo of him. Sadly, he wasn't for sale. Otherwise, I would have bought him on impulse. I had a great experience picking up my order. I'll come back and shop here in a few years... haha! (224)

You just have to go again and again. One day recently, after a matinee performance at the theatre, we dropped by and found exactly what we were looking for. Could it be that larger sized stock doesn't move as quickly in the downtown core? Or were we just sublimely lucky? We were out with our purchases within minutes hauling them to our parking spot at the Eaton Centre. So people looked at us a little funny as we toted our furniture across Yonge street. I'm sure they have a pick-up area for this store, but sometimes big sis and I do things a little differently. It's just more fun that way.

Maybe I have visited too many HomeSense stores with cool items as of late. Other than my two items that I purchased, everything else was okay. I eventually made it to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a cheerful woman who helped me with my transaction. All went well. I'll come back down the road to check out the store some more. I was thrilled to find my two great deals and hope to find more soon. (333)
