From the start, he was easy to communicate with and work with. He walked through our current house so we could talk through design/function that we liked or didn't like about our current living situation, asked us for our design inspiration with likes/dislikes, and then designed a home that is even better than we had imagined. Importantly, he thought about function, not just appearance, and how we would really use spaces based on how we live our life as a family. The 3D renderings were very helpful in visualizing the spaces, and they also gave us things to be excited about during the process. He always responded quickly and professionally, and he really took our ideas into account. Living in our house now is like a dream. We feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful (and functional) space. Rufino is a true artist. It had the original cabinets from the 1970s. The shelves weren't even, and there was barely any counter space to work with. We knew we wanted to replace all the cabinets, get quartz counterop, and upgrade the layout to be more functional. We called another competitor first, and they quoted us that the bare minimum of what we were asking for would be over $45,000, which was more than twice our budget. When we met Bill, he wasn't pushy or salesy. We told him our budget and what we were looking for, and he was able to meet every expectation. It took about 8 weeks for our cabinets to come in/be made. Immediately after that, Joe and the crew came and completed our kitchen renovation within 2 weeks. My partner and I work from home, and the renovation did not disturb our workflow at all. We'll definitely be working with them again in the future when we update our bathrooms!

Service Requested = FAIL Quality = FAIL…read moreValue = AVERAGE (but see above) I wanted to buy local. Unfortunately my experience with Cabinetek has been very unsatisfactory. My order was fraught with mistakes and bad workmanship (from their supplier, Pioneer Cabinet). After specifying my requirements in adequate detail, the proposal was missing all detail including product, dimensions and finishes. I had to get it redone again to correct the terms of sale. Price was in line with other kitchen suppliers. The order was later than promised. I paid the entire invoice before opening the packaging...duh. I went to pick up my order but there were major flaws in the millwork and sawdust in the finish. The nice employees had given the hinges from my order to another customer whose order was deficient. They said the shop would bore the holes for the hinges, but alas they hadn't. So they blamed it on the supplier, Pioneer. You would think that a professional company that was customer oriented would be interested in insuring a quick turn-around to try to fix a bad situation. Not in this case. I wouldn't be writing this if I felt they were actually putting in a good effort to help me. It's like they got paid and have no interest in this. I would strongly recommend you avoid this company!
