I was pretty surprised to hear that comment as an essentially new customer. He then said it would be 'a couple hundred dollars' to send a team out to my house to look at the windows. That he could probably fix the tracked windows 'in about 5 seconds'. I left the conversation with an appointment scheduled, but not liking my experience with this company. I called an cancelled the appointment. I called to cancel- said I had an appointment scheduled and that I would like to cancel. Bruce answered and said ok....then there was dead air and I said, do you need my information? He replied. "I have your number' and then hung up on me. Given that about 9 out of 10 of my windows have either seal issues, track issues or powder showing up in between the glass, I have 0 confidence that reaching out to Direct Exteriors would help me would get me anywhere. Then boards are not to code so over night that check. They never called and canceled the financing on the roof. For some reason they fired the girl I got the amount from. I've never gotten a new roof or financing roof. I just lost everything in a house fire not long before moving in o this home. Jeff was the one that introduced himself as the supervisor and come to find out he is the owner. We had to pay the bank because we didn't think about canceling through the bank and calling them. I trusted them we ended up paying another amount almost the exact amount that was for the boards almost $6,000 more. So over $10,000 first check almost $6,000 for the up to code cost. Then another almost $6,000 to the bank! Does that even sound like the correct amount for a 1,055 sq foot home and didn't even do the garage either. That's a lot of money for just the roof of the size of the home. Plus they put white chaff on my chimney instead of the brown I picked out they said would replace they came and spray painted it. Then when I ask for the detailed billing they told me they don't do that. I had to call my insurance company to get that l?? No all they sent me was the cost of the damage from the tornado hitting surrounding area. The total of the check they sent me not a detailed bill for the roof showing the cost of material and labor. I don't know if it's still in time line of suing is passed. But I have all the paperwork and notes still. Be careful I had my roof done in 2023.maybe 2022. Beware

I tried to schedule an appointment with him to come give us a quote and review the job. After giving him a few more details about placement, access, etc,. We set up a window that he could stop by that day. He didn't make it. The next morning, he apologized because he said there was an emergency roof repair that lasted all day - no problem... i get it. He asked if she would be availble that night, we said yes any time between 5pm-9pm. At 7pm we got a message that he hadnt checked his phone and that he could stop by the day after. We set up another time frame where he would stop by, never showed... you get the point. All in all, we were no showed 3 times, and rescheduled several. Not sure if it was too good to be true. If he really had more emergencies pop up. Or if he just didn't want to do this small job... but it was a lot of time wasted, schedule movement on my wifes end to make it work, just for no work to ever happen. Very unfortunate.
