Raised shed on bricks held in place with tar. Assured me it would be water tight. Didn't tar the lower seam on half of the outside and when I went to correct it, one of the bricks pushed to the inside because the inside was not well tarred either. Several spots with only small pieces of brick on inside to mask the lg. holes on outside. A few more coats of Flex Seal by me will possible correct some of the sub par work and allow me to add soil around the outside. Definitely not worth what I paid for. Poor work. read more

But it wasn't for that reason why I chose them, it was more because of the fact that he was able to see my vision of plans I had for the design. Ruiz seemed like he could help during these unprecedented times. We wanted certain things remodeled, kitchen, recessed lighting, popcorn removed, flooring. Also, adding an extension and additional bathroom as well. After he accessed the place I guess he thought it was going to be a quick hit and go job at first. It seemed he started to get overwhelmed and then started saying he couldn't do it even remove popcorn, and remodel a kitchen...really? To the point I think he was just in rush and wanted to leave maybe had some personal stuff going on who knows. Then what left a bad impression to me being a customer him saying to us " In my opinion don't do anything to the place! live in it a few months a year and then sell it!!! Really? Sorry it wasn't just a paint job or something easy. I understand due to the pandemic he was behind as well, but my family and I just bought this place needing a bigger place with room for our kids and he says to us just sell it? Sorry, if it wasn't something that you can make a quick buck on, but good thing is maybe it worked out for the better! We found another contractor that understood our needs and vision for our new place to call home and they were willing to work with us and get started. I am sure Ruiz Bro's does a great job from the photos I've seen, but it was just a shame to meet someone so reluctant, but I understand nobody expected 2020 to be like this. I am sure he is really backed up with work and maybe just decided best not to take on our project. I hope next time he will be a little bit more tactful when speaking to potential clients/customers. 1 Star for at least making the attempt I guess. read more

My mom needed a foundation poured for a new shed and was having a difficult time finding contractors who would return calls and keep appointments. 3 or 4 weeks of flakey contractors and she was about to give up until we found this place. My mom called and asked then to come over and check out the job site and they came over the next day, and the day after that they started the work. I needed concrete work done in order to sell my house in Michigan. I live in Colorado and needed someone I could rely on. Benny came out, provided an estimate and agreed to pull all permits. Within two weeks' time, he pulled the permits, scheduled the inspections (Dearborn Heights is a major pain in the a** for concrete work).
