Bathrooms are kept locked, and are entered from the outside (but it was clean). They have a drive-through which keeps them very busy. It took about 12 minutes for my single sandwich order to be ready but the staff was friendly and apologetic for the delay while they were hustling to fill orders, so I can't complain. This is because our server left our food that came out first sitting instead of giving it to us, and waited for my waffle to come out. It is a casual restaurant and seems to bring in a lot of regulars. If you are dining in, you seat yourself, and a waitress will bring a menu. You order at the counter if it is to go. Service was friendly and attentive. All of the staff were welcoming and made me feel like I belonged. Dale's serves old-style Calabash seafood; steaks, soups and salads make up the menu. I went with boiled shrimp, not knowing how large the portion would be. It came with sides and a trip to the salad bar. It was a lot of food. The baked potato was amazing and large with extra butter. I'm not normally a fan of coleslaw, but this I would have loved more. Seasoning for the shrimp was on the table so you could season it how you like. Then they were generous with the hush puppies, too. I took most of the shrimp with me and was even given a cup of tea to go. Even though it was raining, I did walk out to the water.
