Chef salad tomoates and cucumbers need to be cut and only one little ranch
    Dymond G.

First time trying here and i got a chef salad the meat and cheese was good but the tomatoes and cucumbers were sooo big. I would prefer them smaller and the fact i only got one little ranch and another one was $1 was beyond me smh. The girls at the counter were nice big location. I ended up not getting the 2nd ranch cuz i had already paid and who wants to swipe they card for $1? Right...

Was traveling to the beach and we stopped in Whiteville for a quick bite. We wanted to go somewhere local as I try and stay away from chains. Sometimes it's hard to navigate. Found Sophie's on yelp and headed to grab some food. It's an interesting place. I think that they have a lot of unused space and it seems weird. But I am not here for the space, I am here to eat. My wife had the Sunny Rain (chicken salad sand which and I had the McMillan Club. The food was good and worth the money. If I lived in town, I would repeat. If I didn't, it is a long way off the highway.

If you're ever in Whiteville, NC, this is a cute little spot to grab lunch. I went a few times in the beginning of July and the staff was friendly but it seemed like they were definitely going through some growing pains with training new people who learning their way around there.Food is prepared when you order it, so it's nice knowing that you don't get grub that's been sitting there for awhile however it comes with having to wait a little longer than normal. I tried a few coffee drinks and it wasn't much to write home about but they have some of the best chicken salad I've ever had. They offer quiche however from what I heard they run out early so it must be pretty good! if you have a sweet tooth, you can definitely settle it here-they have a nice selection of ice cream and pastries. Although it's a local place in a small town, this got pricey going day after day. Lunch and a drink cost me $11. Free wifi!

I always love getting lunch at Sophie's when I am in Whiteville! It's a cute little place down town with street parking and adorable cafe feel. I love that they make all their dressings and sauces in house! We ordered a chef salad, scoop of chicken salad and a roast beef sandwich and a gyro. The chef salad was huge and packed with lots of meat and veggies! It was plenty to share and the dressing portion was plenty. The roast beef sandwich was below expectations.. just a little dry and not nearly as good as some of the other specialty sandwiches. The chicken salad had a lot going on lol it was a bit sweeter then I expected but it was still good. The gyro was yummy too but I love their sandwiches. One disappointing thing was they don't have crackers? What's up with that! I asked for cucumber slices for the chicken salad but my friend wasted some for her chef salad. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Such a unique, old school dining experience! Stepping into this cafe will set you back in time. The nostalgia and antiqueness of this building and small town setting make this restaurant that much better. But wait until you try the food!! Mind blowing!! The Wolf Pack sandwich with pasta salad will be sure to have you licking your chops!! This bistro hits the spot every single time and I would drive an hour just to have lunch!! Ah may zing!!! Awesome staff and east street parking.

I talked to the owner he told me to try his deli and I did. I will say this this place is cool really good sandwiches I will be back and I can't wait to try the next restaurant he has.

We had a great lunch at Sophie's! Relaxing and low key. Fresh salads and great sandwiches. The kids enjoyed the milkshakes after! We will keep this on our list for to and from the beach!

A wall full of antique kitchen appliances, radios, record players, and tvs! So fun.

Yelp has yet to steer me wrong with recommendations and Sophie's is yet another example of great local fare. We stopped in and got three sandwiches..All of which were fresh and delicious. The potato salad was tasty and the tea was sweet...Top it all off with neat ambiance (think 50 diner meets coffeehouse) and you've got a winner. Oh! And don't forget the ice cream! :-)

I was at this McDonald's when my life changed. I remember it so distinctly, it could've happened…read moreyesterday. We were on our way to Ocean Isle and I had to pee. I ignored it for a good 10 minutes, but eventually it became too much to go unnoticed. It felt like there was a rocket taking off in my bladder, and with every breath I took, it got stronger! So we stopped by the nearest toilet which happened to be at McDonald's. I burst through the doors and went straight into the bathroom, relieved. And as I was sitting there on the toilet, I noticed something rather peculiar. There was this song playing, it sounded familiar, but I had never heard it before. Then I realized!!! It was a jazz version of Every Breath You Take by The Police. I felt this strange connection to the music and it overpowered me. The noises of the instruments took me to this other world. A world of peace and beauty. A world of beautiful noises and immaculacy. A world of love and kindness. A world of comfort. A world where there are no flaws or worries, only jazz. I found the meaning of music and perfection that day. I understood everything about everything at that moment. I remember that a few tears escaped my eyes and rolled down my face, like silver wine down velvet. Still, my face was expressionless though it was filled with emotion and discoveries. I remained there, on the McDonald's toilet, as the song repeated itself 3 times. And every time the saxophone riff played, I was struck with awe and wonder. For 12 minutes I sat there. It was like I had met God himself in that McDonald's bathroom. I walked out of that bathroom as a different person. I walked right past the employee who asked: "Are you okay, baby? The brims of your eyes are all red and puffy. Can I get you anything?" I walked right past the man sitting near the door. I walked right out of that McDonald's. And tears continued to stream down my face as I walked across the parking lot to my mom's golden pathfinder. But I had already found my path, and this path that I had found was indeed golden. I didn't purchase anything from that McDonald's that day, but I did get something from there. I got all the answers I had ever been seeking. Thank you, McDonald's.

Worst fcking McDonald's ever- the only thing they're good at is serving old and COLD food that YOU…read morethe customer are PAYING for. Good hard earned money wasted on rock hard chicken that clearly was sitting in the warmer well past its expiration and was supposed to be wasted- instead they feed that garbage to paying customers because they can't hire anyone competent enough to work at a fast food joint, and clearly the managers are just as bad to be allowing this to happen REGULARLY. They can't get orders right even when it's in their face in plain English text, and they serve you old food I wouldn't even feed my damn dogs. Don't waste your time at this one- go to the one on the other side of town beside Zaxby's. The GM there runs a tight ship and doesn't allow his employees to feed paying customers hard inedible cardboard slop that once was a mcchicken 3 hours ago when it was still fresh- almost never have any complaints about the one on North side. So it's clear it's a difference in store management... allowing mediocre employee performance and violating food safety protocols by feeding people rock hard old sandwiches. Even the damn BREAD was rock hard 40% of the way through. They sold me a sandwich that had been sitting there in the holding bay in the bagging area and never went out and slapped a new sticker on it and thought it would be fine. There's no other way the entire bottom bun becomes rock solid unless it's been sitting in the bagging area on the heating table for over an hour- as former McDs employee I would fckin know. Your employees and management should be ashamed- fcking embarrassment of a store.

She seemed stressed so when it was my turn to order I kept that in mind and tried to be polite. That didn't last long. She became short with me when I chose different donuts for the dozen I had already paid for. I told her to "chill out" and lose the attitude. She glared glared at me and offered no apology. I told her I should just get a refund and she stated "I can give you a refund". I then asked her who her manager was and she answered she was one of them. She continued to make a drink and ignored me until I told her to give me my refund. She responded with, "we're very busy". In return I told her I wasn't going to stand there in the store until they weren't busy. She asked a fellow employee, " can you stop what your doing and give this guy a refund"?. While the employee was working the register I asked who the owner was and he stated, "Peter". I asked how to get in touch with him and he said he didn't know. I identified the owner as Peter Patel and left a message with a brief description of my experience. We'll see if he calls me back... If you can't handle the stress of working in a donut shop, find something else to do. Perhaps away from human contact.
