The worst experience with a contractor ever. not only was the timing, product and process misrepresented, no effort or offer to remedy the multiple problems with the work was made. He started 2 weeks late and only did bits and pieces off and on for almost two weeks. The last day everything was installed but poorly, crooked doors etc. Jason would not return calls or texts for weeks until we refused to pay the final payment. then we finally got a text. we then learned the business was closing and they knew that when they took our money. It was his intention to get our money and burn us. every door and drawer front is a different color, and most are scratched The hood that was supposed to be custom was poorly done and so heavily stained it looks muddy. Every time it was touched it damaged the finish. The only remedy would have been to completely start over but we were not given that option plus we could never trust this guy again. read more

Wow! Jason and his team did the finish work and painting of new cabinets, book shelves and floating shelves installed in 3 rooms of our new home - 2 offices and a great room. I could not be happier with the process or the outcome! Jason was a delight to do business with. Arturo is an artist in the truest sense of the word. He's detailed, a perfectionist, a master masker, and has the pride in his work that seems to be the exception rather than the rule these days. And there was zero clean-up afterward - he left each workspace as clean as he found it. Arturo has been with Kitchen FX for 15 years now, and I wouldn't trust my finish work to anyone else. KitchenFX did an amazing job refinishing and upgrading our lower cabinets, building new uppers, and a custom pantry with slide outs. We raised the ceiling of our old 1970's style kitchen, and wanted new uppers cabinets to go with it. After searching around and comparing the local cabinet firms, we went with KitchenFX and are extremely happy with that choice. I visited the shop in Hutto before making my decision, and was impressed with both the cabinet and paint workshops and the projects that were being built - very high quality and professional. We are pleased with every aspect of this project. The team removed our old uppers and built the new ones while I did my demo work. They carefully prepped the lowers for the new paint, and did a high quality job applying the new color. They then installed the new uppers and pantry, installed slide outs in two of the lower cabinets, and new drawers. These are some of the best cabinets I've seen - well made, solid, smooth. The paint is hard with a durable finish, and the team did great with the two-tone scheme we chose. One of the best pieces is the huge 3' x 8' x 3' pantry they built to my specs - it replaced an old closet pantry with a new unit with 10 slide outs and large upper storage space. No more items lost in the back of the closet. All of the crew were attentive, polite and professional. In all, we met and worked with the owner and his son, the project manager, three of the paint team, and two of their cabinetry installers. Kitchen FX built and installed new cabinetry in our living room where a space for a media center used to be. We weren't sure how everything would look at the end so Jason drafted up a design and talked us through different looks. We have to say, it looks better than we imagined! The cabinets fit into the wall space perfectly without any gaps, and the color matches the molding. You wouldn't be able to tell that this wasn't part of the original house design. Kitchen FX also built us a platform for our theater room and we're very happy with that as well.
