Honestly, the 2 soups I tried the other night are still on my mind and I am trying to figure out how to have them again! How can I re-create them? How can I purchase a gallon of them? I cannot wait for the next pop up! When we went to The Vandy the other night for some cocktails, we knew that Soul Soup would be on the scene serving up 2 different soups for us to try (The High Life and Thai Me Up). The menu was posted on Angie's Insta page a few days in advance of the pop up (see photo of the menu) and I just knew we had to try them both! When we arrived and placed our cocktail orders, we also asked for a bowl of each of the soups to try and when they were brought out the table, they were piping hot and smelled so good! I was happy to know that rather than adding in the bacon to the High Life, they could serve it on the side so that my dining partner could enjoy the bacon while I just wanted to enjoy the soup with the pretzel bites no bacon! Two bowls of soup was a perfect amount for the 2 of us to share and when we were finished, Angie came out of the kitchen to meet some of the customers - it was so nice to meet Angie and she is seriously so friendly! I will keep my eyes peeled to her Insta to see when and where she will be next and you should too! It's soup season and if you want some of the best soup in STL, this is the place to find!

You grab a bowl and start putting in whatever ingredients you want. They have a lot of different items that you can choose from. They have a weight minimum, which I think should be pretty easy to hit. Once you have all your toppings, they weigh your bowl and you pick out your soup broth. I really don't like spice so I went with the tomato soup base and it had a good flavor and a little bit of spice but definitely not too much. my friend got the sweet and spicy soup broth and it tasted delicious, but would've been too spicy for me. The food came out pretty quickly. They have a station for free rice and water which was really nice. They also had some suckers that you could grab as a little treat on your way out. I would definitely come here again, but it is a little bit pricey your bowl is gonna start around $16 and go up depending on the weight. Everything is super fresh and delicious so it is worth the cost.

I flinch whenever I hear the "movoc" and I get so excited I want to throw up whenever someone suggests going to movoc for a hangout. There are lots of toppings to choose from, and I think that the concept of hot pot price by weight just like FroYo is fun and unique. Service is fast, and clean. The hot pot was delicious and not too spicy and the sauces they had to offer were very delicious as well. Not too salty. It's a wonderful place, whether you go alone or with friends.

They have a good menu with great variety from Pho, other noodles dishes and rice dishes. I ordered Pho Dac Biet, and my partner got the Com Ga Xoi Mo ( crispy chicken with fried rice). When the owner brought out the Pho bowl, it smelled pretty good. Pho broth was really flavorful, brisket was tender 8/10. I hadn't eaten Com Ga Xoi Mo at Viet restaurant for a long time. I gotta say they really nailed both the flavor and texture of the chicken 8/10. Both of the owners were very sweet to us. They also gave us sweet potatoes shrimp cake to try. We'll definitely gonna come back to support when I am lazy to make viet food. Highly recommended.

The grape salad definitely deserves the praise that it receives. The ambiance was very nostalgic meanwhile the staff was friendly and helpful in making suggestions when ordering.

When I politely complained, the staff was very rude and unhelpful. The vermicelli noodles were also disappointing--very bland and had almost no flavor. Overall, the food was mixed, but the poor customer service really made the experience disappointing.

They didn't skimp on the avocado spread, but it was way too much and practically layered. Although the bread was soft, all the spread made it soggy and weighed down. That wasn't the kind of soup I had in mind (because...pre-packaged ramen), but I thought I would give it a shot because I didn't feel like driving anywhere else. Apparently customized ramen is a cultural phenomenon that I was unaware of. The owners walked me through the process. You pick your ramen. You pick your toppings (meats and veggies). You take your "kit" to the ramen cooking machine and make your soup. I ended up being very happy with the results. The soup was tasty. The place was new and clean. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Five stars.
