Half a Monster Burger, cooked medium rare. Yum!

Good food. We had Grouper Tacos, Philly Cheesesteak and Monster Burger and everyone enjoyed their meal.

We enjoyed the bartender at this location. It is a bar with additional family seating. Highlights here were the hush puppies, great tasting burger (it's the recommended burger), and the fish was lightly breaded. All the food was great! Enjoy.

Another nice place to eat in South Haven. I don't think many people will try this place as it is not one of popular places. However, it is a must try. 527 is located at the start of Phoenix Street. It's a small place but clean, comfortable and has good food. The host and waitress were outstanding and friendly. They took our cell phone number and called us when our table was ready. My wife ordered the fish basket. She loved the fresh fish taste and crispy breading. It wasn't too thick or greasy. The fries were very good - nice and crisp with a slight seasoning. I ordered the BLT which was loaded with very tasty bacon. You won't get this much bacon on a BLT anywhere. The bacon had a fantastic flavor and crisp. The onion rings were very good as they had a nice large piece of onion. The breading was slightly thick and mildly greasy. The hush puppies were outstanding as well.

Breaded Walleye

While in South Haven for vacation, I saw that Kitchen 527 had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I was a little nervous at first, because the floors were sticky and it sort of looked like a dive bar inside. But we were seated quickly and our waitress was so friendly, and before I knew it, she was bringing out our drinks and appetizer: spicy fried pickles. They were SO good! We then ordered our meals: breaded walleye with hush puppies, fried chicken, potato salad, and onion rings. Everything was delicious. Even though pretty much everything we ate was fried, nothing was greasy or overly breaded. Despite how it looks, this place is a winner in our books!

The food was unremarkable. The French fries looked like they were cooked in old oil- full of black flakes. Didn't taste them.

I'm not a huge fan of pretzel bits but you have to try them! The fish is amazing with they're house made tartar sauce . Service was awesome!

Great burger also ordered the fish n chips. Fish was good but not to the level of the Sinatra burger.

Ate here on a Saturday night while visiting town. Friend chicken was over cooked, almost burnt on the outside.

Don't waste your time or a meal on this place. Find something better. Two stars only because it was edible.

We enjoyed a great dinner. The BBBLT is loaded with 8 pieces of bacon. Fried chicken breaded in house. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

All six of us had either the Sinatra or the Waldorf burger, and no complaints at all.

BEST MEAL in South Haven! Came here on a whim on a Tuesday since several South Haven restaurants…read moreare closed on Tuesdays, and ended up having our best meal in South Haven! I've had some amazing butternut squash ravioli at other restaurants, but Tello's recipe was the best. Savory, buttery, slightly salty which you need to cut the richness of the sauce. The fresh pasta texture was the perfect al dente, almost as if they rolled these out specifically for me when I walked in. Had a lovely sauvignon blanc as a great compliment. Parking was easy and free on a Tuesday night at 5:00pm at the back, no wait. When we left around 7:30pm, there was an hour wait. We'll be adding this destination to our trip to South Haven every summer! Note: Ordinarily I'd give this experience 4 stars, as my fork was dirty with lots of crusted cheese and there was a mistake on our bill, but my dinner was so phenomenal that it adds another star.

When bringing this text up to the hostess to let her know that she had already seated us her response was "it is easier to just cancel your reservation". Thank you for making us feel NOT welcome in your establishment. Secondly, be prepared for slow service and little follow up for water refills or any additional requests. Sorry, We will not be back.
