When you get a $17 sandwich, the highlight of it should not be the complementary chips that came with it. Ruben was terrible

So this place is a smaller version of the restaurant Bazaar that was on Olympic called The colony. There are seven or eight restaurants working out of here from scratch kitchens. The gentleman working at the register was very friendly and helpful. The Aussie pies were very good, and getting the small size is definitely an option since it filled us up. The reason for the two-star ding was my sandwich from the sandwich. Kitchen was terrible. One of the worst Reubens I've ever had. The meat was cold and stringy. You'll see my photo, a comp of me that I couldn't eat off to the right. The second sandwich had just as much of that nasty corned beef.... Stay away from the sandwich kitchen here.

All kinds of foods from burgers sandwiches, ribs you name it they got it here.

The food here is amazing. I ordered turkey Bolognese it's one of my favorites here. Every time I come down to the west side I ordered this I live all the way in West Hills and it is worth the drive. I really truly recommended this place. You can also order other things they are more then one restaurant in one place. I would really highly recommend kitchen 1437

The first hour is free, after which it costs $5 for the first full hour, and then billed per subsequent 20-minute period, with a daily maximum of $35. Doesn't make it easy to stop by and try out all their stalls! There was a lot I wanted to learn or ask about, but I cut my trip short to be at the 1-hour mark. I got an americano, and my boyfriend got a white flat. We enjoyed seeing all the snack options, jams, cheeses, and pasta. Everything is so neatly organized and presented. It looks very clean. We noticed there's a lot of ingredients that look really unique to elevate a home cocktail experience...like candied ginger and dried peels. We bought some of those and brought home jams (strawberry, lemon) and spreads (hazelnut). It was a very exciting first trip; everything looked so shiny and exciting.

Parking - One of the dealbreakers in my opinion. Especially during peak hours, it can feel like a maze here, you'll find that it's very easily to get lost here. Worse part is that parking is NOT FREE. However, there's parking validation but only specific stores. They don't tell you or list what stores give validation but even then, it's not for the whole duration and only for a specific time frame. A bit frustrating to deal with overall. However, there's plenty of good sides of the mall. The shops here are great, there's most of the stores that you'll find when it comes to luxury, and higher end shops. Ranges from Apple, Lucid, Tesla, Dyson, lululemon, Therabody, etc. The vibe here is very modern, lights up very nicely since it's a outdoor mall. It's very pretty here during the holidays, my wife and I came during Christmas to see all the holiday lights, Christmas Carols, and artificial snow, which turned out to our favorites. It was such a romantic and chill vibe, very cool to see this yearly. They often has collaboration events here such as these events, so be on the lookout for that. Food here is decent, over the years, they've added plenty of popular spots like Chick Fila, Shake Shack, but the staples here are most certainly Din Tai Fung, HaiDiLao Hot pot, Ramen Nagi, and plenty of other notable spots. I would say, they're all worthy to check out, just haven't had time to check them all out yet. Directory online and in person is very informative as well for the restaurants. Drinks wise, there's bars around the mall, but inside the mall, my go to here is Chagee Tea and Wushiland, both solid boba spots, Chagee of course is more trendy at the moment though. Very popular regardless. There's also Blue Bottle Coffee which I find very underrated. I absolutely love their Cascara Fizz, very much a soda like drink, definitely worth checking out as well.

Customer service on the phone for the parking is rude and hung up on me before I finished my sentence. Place may look nice, but there are much better places to go.

I don't think I go out of my way to visit the Grove, considering the distance and the difficulty of getting parking. Huge crowds, have to pay for parking, and even if you walk farther away, it's a risk to get towed and there's metered parking too that hit a 2 hour maximum, at least the last time I went there. Aside from accidentally wandering in here or being here for a specific event (seeing Yoshiki over a decade ago or the 20th anniversary Rilakkuma pop up, which was absolutely fisted with people), I've only wandered here on accident when hanging out with friends elsewhere. There's a good number of shops and eateries though, especially since it sort of shares the space/is right next to the Farmer's Market (great open area to go shop and to go dine). Large overlap of the same shops and eateries as the Americana, but there's things there that we don't have in Glendale. Lot of higher end businesses. Big fan of the La La Land Kind Cafe and what they do, their drinks, and their aesthetic. It's not a bad outdoors mall, considering how "fancy" it is, the fact that it's outside in the California sunshine, and the fountain with the Bellagio style musical water shows, but just know that the parking can get hideous.

When you walk down the center, there are only a few places open on the bottom and a few on the top. At least the places that are still open are closer together, but the emptiness is hard to miss. TJ Maxx feels like the only real anchor on one side. There is also Southern Girl Desserts and a few other shops, but you can really feel what is missing. There are no major anchor tenants anymore. Walmart has been gone for a long time. Sears is gone. It feels barren. It reminded me of a hair salon that only sees people by appointment, with no walk in traffic. There were almost no people just strolling the mall like in years past. Afro City Marketplace and Ninas and some of the other African American businesses were nice and doing their best. The problem is not with them. The mall itself just feels empty and struggling. Because of that, I have to give Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza 3 stars. It is okay, but very difficult to see it like this.
