The menu indicated that the Gan Bien would be spicy (scharf) but I learned long ago that scharf in Vienna is not really scharf for a Philadelphia guy. So I ordered it Super Scharf with a side order of hot chili sauce. The waitress was great. She did exactly as I asked and the homemade chili sauce was totally excellent .... and hot. I added it liberally and enjoyed a really nice, spicy, and tasty Gan Bien. Next time I will go to Kiang with friends so we can share and try multiple dishes including the classic Dan Dan noodles. I did like the service here very much .... and even if the dining room is rather plainly decorated, the serving staff added a nice warmth.
