Solid. Had the pho with beef. Very flavorful broth, excellent. Nice large pieces of beef. Also had iced Viet coffee. Perfect! Ambiance is nice, pretty inside. Service good. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic place in Vienna, the service is spectacular. Shirley our server was one of the best server ever. The food was a great experience and the ambience like don't wanting to leave this place ever. I love this place and I recommend anyone in Vienna to enjoy this experience.

I was craving for Vietnamese food while visiting Vienna, so I decided to try Saigon Restaurant right off Naschmarkt. The restaurant is charming and modern. I was impressed with their extensive menu with almost 100 items. Service was good. Food wise was just alright imo. I ordered a several appetizers and entrées to try. Overall, I liked their Pho Dac Biet ( Beef and Beef meatball Pho), Wonton noodles soup and Banh Beo the most. They tasted pretty good and authentic. The rest of my orders were prepared nicely but it's not authentic. I still recommended this restaurant since they did a really good job at their PHO and all of the dishes were really well presented in a traditional way.

It's always a great time for Pho, I truly enjoyed the Pho, and the variety roll it was very flavor fully delicious. I enjoyed the refreshing beverage. I did not like the duck much, very bland and not too tender. The staff was very friendly and attentive, very busy restaurant seems to be a local's favorite. Clean, open decor not much to rave about but I like the space.

Likely the best Vietnamese food I've ever had! The food was absolutely delicious and portions were just right too. That together with the ambience of the restaurant was too good to miss. It's the perfect location too, just a short walk away from the Kunsthistoriches Museum and Naschmarkt :) Would definitely come back again when I'm in Vienna! Highly recommended :D

    Very tasty authentic Banh Cuon

Excellent Vietnamese food and atmosphere at this restaurant. The staff were wonderful and they spoke both German and English. I tried one of my favorites dishes, which is Banh Cuon and it was really tasty. I needed some heat for my food, so the waitress brought me some fresh chopped red chili peppers. The papaya salad with shrimp was made deliciously with the right amount of sweet, salty and sour. My husband enjoyed his grilled pork with rice and the Viennese espresso they served. They also have Vietnamese coffee at this restaurant. The waitress was really wonderful and took her time and conversed with us, making us feel very welcomed in the restaurant. Really excellent Vietnamese food and ambience.

We came here on a Sunday because it was one of the rare restaurants open in Vienna. The food was okay - nothing too special for Vietnamese food. I got the duck and rice, and my friend the chicken curry. The duck looked good, but was a little dry and bland. My friend really enjoyed the curry. The interior is built quite nicely, and provides a nice atmosphere for lunch. The service was a little bit slow, but luckily they did speak English. Definitely an okay option if everything else is closed!

This review is a few months late but in Vienna over the winter and one night it was so cold and Pho is just want we needed to warm up. It was so good! Flavorful, meat was cooked just right (I had the beef), noodles were perfect! Service was wonderful. Highly recommend on those cold winter nights.

A delightful evening was spent here. Sheer food bliss! Saigon is located in a larger establishment close to the museum quarter in Vienna. Ample seating and great for groups. It's also really clean, well decorated and staff were very friendly and helpful during our dinner. Upon arrival we were seated promptly and provided a menu. Options are available in English which is a plus. So, we ordered beef pho, grilled pork with rice noodle, chicken rice paper rolls and another small bowl of beef pho (I couldn't decide what I wanted so I got two meals!) Everything came out at once as per my request. This was done promptly and the food was so fragrant and appealing I couldn't wait to tuck in. The pho- delicious. I often have difficulty with chewy beef but this was no issue today. The noodles with grilled pork was a well seasoned delight; salty, sweet, crunchy, chewy. It was the perfect balance and I enjoyed every bite. The rice paper rolls were also delicious with a lovely dipping sauce to accompany. Just a really impressive meal overall that is decently priced. I was happily full in my belly and we were given complimentary tapioca and coconut puddings which was the perfect sweet finish to the meal. So with all that and two drinks the total came to 40 euros (including tip). Highly reccomended if you're in the area and if you're not, it's definitely worth the journey over.

Delicious food, excellent service, and a quiet and calm atmosphere make this the perfect place to choose for dinner after a long day. I went with a group of 10 for the third stop on our Yelp Vietnamese Food Tour. Even with a large group, the service was fast, attentive, and extremely friendly. I had my usual Vietnamese dish (commonly called Bo Bun) of pork and crispy spring rolls over top of a large bowl of vermicelli noodles and shredded lettuce, with a light broth at the bottom of the bowl. This is #100 on the menu. It was very delicious and got better the farther down I went. I recommend mixing the ingredients very well before beginning so that you cover all of the component with that yummy broth! After dinner, they brought us some complimentary bowls of coconut water with tapioca, honey, and banana in it. A nice light finish to the meal! Its convenient location between MQ/Mariahilf and Karlsplatz/Naschmarkt give you no excuse not to try out this lovely restaurant.

Fast service! Beautiful interior. Was tired of the fried foods in Vienna so it was nice having lighter food.

Small restaurant near Vienna Marriott. front door is draped for cold wind ( it February as of this…read morewriting ) it helps but is breezy. It's filled today with Viennese - lots of German discussions. The close seating makes for loud conversation. The mid day special came with a mixed salad in a fried open wrap (bowl) - tasty but a bit Heavy on oil. The mid day menu is in German - take a minute understand it. The main menu is German and english. The kitchen is small and backed up quickly as the tables filled for lunch. In true Austrian style each dish is served correctly - plating was good and the spice/freshness showed. It just takes a while. Sitting by the door is uncomfortable. Spring rolls - elegant and complex flavor. The detail on the dish is impressive (for an American used to Simple Pho.) Sparkling water of course and they have Singha! Egg rolls where not wrapped tightly and absorbed a lot of oil. While crisp it was oily and suffered in eating (oil every where) taste was good but different for well made layered egg rolls. Sauces where good and appeared made in shop. Setting the cut edge down helped drain oil. These are served hot and stayed that way for several minutes, the inside can burn your mouth so be careful. I would get these again - the flavor is worth it The shrimp garlic noodle dish arrived. Shrimp Panco and garlic sauce cooked perfectly. The noodles where poor, the sauce off - disappointing. The Shrimp however made you want a dinner portion, flavorful - I would order it again - maybe on cabbage and skip the noodles. A table treat for desert are small fruit dishes. The pineapple was great - it was small.. but a great add to the meal.

The duck salad appetizer is married beautifully with mint, red onion and chili infused spices that really give it a kick. I noted hints of lemongrass and it was so good and the duck prepared so perfectly with both crispy and soft meat, we ordered a second dish of it to share at our table. The Pho soups are delicious too. We were less enthralled with our red coconut curry with vegetables, but only because we anticipated medium heat but it was just sweet and very mild. Our restaurants in the states add heat, so we would just recommend if you do as we'll, to ask--they can certainly do it. The service was very good, a sweet Viet girl made sure to check on us, but not where it was distracting. candlelit tables were and the black and white themed dining room were really stunning. I highly recommend this to local Viennese as well as tourists--it was reasonable yet delightful. Even their wines by the glass did not disappoint!

Unfortunately, I went during the lunch rush hour, so it was crowded there and I was unable to get a seat, much less any lunch. So, as I was walking around the area, not wanting to go away empty-handed, I happened to have found this place on the Burggasse, on my way back to the U2/U3 Volkstheater metro station. I went in, and walked back out because I saw there were no tables available except one. However, I was really hungry so I decided to go back in a couple of minutes later, just to try the food and see how it was. There are only 4 tables inside. Though I have never been to Vietnam before, this reminded me of that episode of Bizarre Foods or No Reservations during their episodes, when they showed these various restaurants in Hanoi that doubled as a kitchen and even a residence, with just a couple of small tables and a some plastic chairs. Now, of course, this being in a city, they didn't have that, though I think the place was meant to be more of a take out joint than a sit-down restaurant, though it is possible to eat there if you are lucky enough to get a table, which I was. The first thing I had were some fried spring rolls, filled with meat, and served with lettuce wraps, Thai basil (or mint leaves), and nuoc mam (Vietnamese fish sauce for dipping). They were quite OK. A little bit smaller than I expected, but still delicious. I then had some of their pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). It came piping hot, the way I like it and how soup should be, with a side garnish of bean sprouts, mint leaves or Thai basil, lemon, and hot chili peppers. I think it was a little bit different pho than what I'm used to, because if I'm not mistaken, this was a Northern Vietnam/Hanoi-style preparation. The noodles were a little bit wider, and the broth was a little bit more clearer than what I've had at Vietnamese pho places in the US (of which many are of South Vietnam origin). Regardless, the soup was pretty good, though it would have been nice to have had a variety of meats found in pho, such as beef tendon, brisket, meatballs, and even tripe. The soup here only offered sliced beef or meatballs. But I also understand that they prepare it this way, not only because I imagine that certain cuts of meat are difficult to find here, but they also have to adapt to the local Austrian palate. The service was great, and the people were friendly there. I see that they work very hard to run their business and to make sure that their customers are satisfied. I certainly was.
