Now saying all this, the Szechuan dish that I ate here was very good. It was the famous Gan Bien and the strips of dried beef were cooked and flavored nicely. The menu indicated that the Gan Bien would be spicy (scharf) but I learned long ago that scharf in Vienna is not really scharf for a Philadelphia guy. So I ordered it Super Scharf with a side order of hot chili sauce. The waitress was great. She did exactly as I asked and the homemade chili sauce was totally excellent .... and hot. I added it liberally and enjoyed a really nice, spicy, and tasty Gan Bien. Next time I will go to Kiang with friends so we can share and try multiple dishes including the classic Dan Dan noodles. I did like the service here very much .... and even if the dining room is rather plainly decorated, the serving staff added a nice warmth.
