My husband and I traveled from the warm south to Fargo North Dakota in January. We couldn't have done the trip without Kit Lender's gear. As a plus size girl I loved they were size inclusive. We were planning to snowmobile, snowshoe, and ice fish. All activities requiring cold weather gear. We ordered the gear as soon as we booked the plane tickets (October). I sized up on my snow pants and jacket but didn't on my husband's and I wish I had. We were wearing bulky layers underneath and the extra room was nice for me but my husband found it difficult to zip his jacket with all his layers. My biggest recommendation is to SIZE UP everything including boots. You can wear something too big but not too small. Our boots did not fit us at all (we booked our normal sizes). I wound up wearing my husband's boots and he wore the boots he packed for the trip. Thankfully he packed heated socks he uses for hunting and that compensated. The gloves also ran small. I should have ordered XL for me and whatever the largest size they had for my husband. I got an email when the gear shipped and an email when it arrived at the hotel. I called the hotel both times to let them know to expect it and to confirm it had arrived and they were fine holding it for us (the box arrived Monday and we arrived Friday). Normally we book Airbnbs but we went with a hotel because of this shipment. I also got the names of everyone one I talked to just as an added safety precaution. The gear was clean and well packed. I was impressed they included packing tape for when we had to box it back up. You couldn't tell they were gently used. We wore the jackets the most. Ironically there wasn't much snow on the ground due some weird weather and our snowmobiling and snowshoe activities were cancelled so we only wore the full gear ice fishing. I would definitely use this service again but I would SIZE UP everything. read more

I recently took a trip to Breckenridge and used Kit Lender. As Floridians, to say our winter gear was lacking would be an understatement. From beginning to end the process was easy and reliable. From the moment I placed the order the Kit Lender team was in communication, including confirming a color change and giving me a "final" call to confirm sizes and selected kits (we ordered full kits). The kit arrived a day ahead of schedule and was waiting for us upon arrival (as Kit Lender suggests, definitely check with your rental agency/resort about receiving packages, as this helped for us to arrange to have it at our rented house). The gear provided was exceptional (including some items with the tags still on). I rented for myself (a woman) and my 7 year old son. In addition to what we ordered they sent a special "kit" with hand warmers, chapstick, and tissues, which definitely came in handy in the negative temperatures! Just as easy as ordering and arrival, to return the kits the instructions couldn't have been clearer. Including packing tape (which I never would have thought of) to repack the gear and send back. We didn't end up scheduling the FedEx pickup, but instead (due to check out time constraints and wanting to get some extra early morning runs in) chose to drop off at a FedEx office. Last minute trip to Angel Fire, NM for Thanksgiving and never even bothered to look at the temps until the Monday before. Forecasting 4-6" of snow with temps in the teens. Got on line and found Kit Lender and thought why not give it a shot. With being so close to the holiday we were worried it wouldn't make it on Wednesday- the day before Thanksgiving. Well Mother Nature didn't cooperate and a storm hit the east coast as the same time the Rockies was getting fresh snow so the delivery got pushed a day - no ones issue and we had plenty of time. The gear got to us on Friday and we were overly impressed with the packaging and organization of the clothes. We suited up - and all 5 of us from boots to googles played in 11° weather with 8" of new snow without getting the least bit cold. After we were done we used the same packaging and drop them at a FedEx office and all was done. My family went on a vacation in the US and we had our kits sent to our aunts address in NJ. It was so easy to bring it with us since they came in a single box that we could bring to the airport with us going to Colorado. I rented a "kit" that had jacket, boots, gloves, goggles, and ski pants with it. Basically everything that I needed for a trip to a snowy place that we don't have in our country. So convenient since I had no idea about what I needed. When we got back to Jersey, it was easy to return too since the box had what we needed to pack it back up, like tape and the return label. FedEx picked the package up later on and it was done and dusted. Convenience at its finest. Renting the stuff was pretty cheap too. Only charged us like, $300++ for a small family where it would have cost me an arm and a leg for an outfit that I would only be using once in my whole life (probably lol) Thank you again guys! read more

My husband and I wanted to go camping but only own a tent. I Googled camping gear rental and Kit Lender popped up. Although they are based in Vermont and we are in Idaho, the cost to rent the items and have them mailed to us seemed very affordable. Wow, were we impressed by the quality of the gear as well as the ease of ordering and returning the gear. We ordered the 2 person car camping kit and everything was new or like new and very high quality (The North Face, Yeti, JetBoil..). All items were delivered in 2 boxes a few days before our trip and the same boxes are used to return the gear back to Kit Lender with prepaid labels. I was honestly a bit skeptical at first...about renting snow gear, especially in the middle of a pandemic and so last minute. However, Kit Lender knocked it out of the park! I spoke with Tyler and Sam about a bunch of questions I had and they were beyond helpful. The kit came exactly as predicted...a day before my rental started (FedEx tracking was accurate almost to the minute!). The gear looked all pretty much brand new, and everything fit according to the size guide descriptions. They tell you to keep the box for when you return your rentals, and they provide you with the label (already paid for!) to ship it back anddd tape strips to tape up the box. This is the second year we have used Kit Lender as a family for skiing needs. We live in Florida and we ski once a year. Our ski trip was in March, and the forecast was for very warm weather, so they helped point me in the direction of a ski jacket with a removable insulated inner jacket so I could stay cool and comfortable. Everything needed to return the items was inside the box. My only complaint was the tape they provided was a pain to use re taping the box. We just used Kit Lender on a trip from Texas to Park City. We didn't have snow pants, boots, or ski goggles for our youngest (5), and it didn't make sense to buy all that for one trip when he'd certainly out grow it all before he could use it again. So we decided to give Kit Lender a try, and it worked out great. All of the gear was in great condition (a couple items had tags still), the package arrived early, and the return was simple. Note that they shipped the gear FedEx ground. I noticed some reviews saying their stuff didn't arrive on time, and I suspect the variability of Ground was the issue. I'd recommend booking early for a trip so the shipment has plenty of time to get the destination. read more

We recently rented ski apparel from Kit Lender for a skiing trip. Kit Lender shipped the package to our hotel at the destination. In addition to our kits the package also contained tape to seal back the box and a shipping label to return the items back. The package arrived well before we got to our hotel. We had rented North Face and Obermeyer brands which would have been a lot more expensive if we had purchased these for a 3 day trip considering we don't reside in an area that gets too cold.
