Must read this , I am expressing my honest opinion when I say this: Please beware when removing a tooth with Dr. Doghra Senior. I called made an appointment to remove a molar with Dr. Doghra the young , my husband recommended him. When I got there he was not in , the receptionist told me to do it with Dr Doghra Sr , that he was great too. I couldn't take the pain and the hospital dentist that I've seen previously told me that I needed this extraction and prescribed antibiotics while I visited my dentist. So I went ahead and accepted , he proceeded and with difficulty removed my tooth in one piece although I could see pieces of bone from my maxillary stuck to the tooth. He asked me to wait until the bleeding stopped and in 10 min I went home , once there my bleeding won't stop and I called him back , he gave me instructions to press with gauze and call in 30 min . My bleeding kind of stopped and when his nurse called I told her it stopped. I went back for a check up 5 days later , when I opened my mouth he looked kind of alarmed , he quickly removed my stitches and he vacuumed my wound , all done in the most silent and painful way . He put a dressing , never responded my questions or informed me why the procedure. The next day the pain was bad and my face looked like a balloon so I went back to the ER dentist , he told me I had a dry socket and an abscess, sent me more antibiotics and told me to comeback if the condition got worse . I wanted in good faith to confront Dr Doghra Sr . with these findings ,brought my ER records Wed to see him , he asked me how did I feel , so I explained to him what had happened . Immediately his expression changed , he crossed his arms and said well your wound is closed and I sent you amoxilin ( he never prescribed me any ) . I had a postnasal drip and he said :nothing to do with me , go to the ENT or the oral surgeon . His coldness made me feel like cattle , I asked him to recommend me an oral surgeon then , he said -: your insurance is not good ,go to the Hospital , just like that he dismissed me with a very serious face . Went back to the Hospital, it turned out my dry socket was still open ( unlike Dr. Doghra told me ) , they gave me the phone of an ENT that is treating me for my postnasal drip and my wound still healing . I will say that for Dr Doghra Sr , I was just a way to make some dollars and he didn't accept any responsibility when his procedure went wrong, so beware. read more
