My daughter had to be taken by ambulance the first time to the hospital, admitted and stayed over night and had to undergo anesthesia, and an endoscopy, which, if not for the doctors error would not have had to endure. Upon a follow up visit to the Dr and for those of you horsing why would you go back to the same Dr well we were $38,000 into it so we had to finish this with this Dr the doctor then proceeded to drop the same exact instrument down her throat again now the doctor claims she has never in all her ears drop this instrument down anybody's throat, but yet managed to do it to my daughter twice my daughter already had issues with Dentist, hence needing such extensive dental care the Dr solution to this was not to send her to the hospital this time just go home and pass it on your own. I'm sure you will with no regard for the fact that by doing that if she had aspirated that instrument into her lungs, it could've killed her, but because she didn't want it on record that it happened twice we just sent her home. now in speaking with the doctor and trying to work this out amicably and come to some type of reconciliation the doctors solution to that was and is, oh I can take care of her bottom teeth for you for $35,000 more is she kidding, in what world would I ever do that? However within an hour of making the appointment received a call to confirm. I spoke quickly, as I too am in healthcare and don't answer the phone while at work. I shared my email asked for patient forms to be sent. That way I could arrive at 9am. Not earlier to complete the forms. My app was for 9am the following Saturday . Wednesday I even emailed them my prior dental X-rays. Thought that was confirmation enough I was coming. Throughout the week I received 9 phone calls and text messages as reminders. On my way to the offices they called again. I printed out the paperwork had it completed and on a clipboard as I walked in at 8:59am. There were 4 staff members there no one else in the waiting room no other cars in the parking lot. The first thing I heard was 'your late'. What a warm welcome. It was wet, rainy and as a type 1 diabetic i do my to be prepared. I was on time! But wow no hello or welcome. I was about to hand over my completd forms when I mentioned the overwhelming calls were a bit aggressive. The office manager, Maureen response was so many people are no shows. My response was TY for respecting me and putting me in with others. I was sure those others also emailed their reports, X-rays and verbally confirmed at least 3 out of the 9 times I was contacted. At that point I decided to leave. They lost a family because of aggressive patient treatment. I'm sitting in the parking lot already booked another appointment for 2 hours from now. Not one other patient or car has come into the lot. Don't think it's the Dentist.

I never had to do this with any dentist in all my years. Normally they would bill the insurance companies as I have two dental plans and what the plans did not pay, the doctor would bill me. Dr. Mehta has the audacity to say to me that she's not going anywhere. Hello! I'm not going anywhere either. She has my address and she knows where to find me. I pay my bills and don't need to be shaken down for $2500 before she would work on me. Plus I had to put $1,000 deposit. She was recommended to me by a friend so therefore I did it, a big mistake! When I asked the front desk how much it cost for the tooth because everything was estimated they told me $2300 so they owe me money. They billed the insurance company over $4000. I found all this out because I am constantly calling the insurance companies. The girls at the front desk said oh you could just take the extra money and just put it towards your next visit. No, I don't want to do that because there is not going to be any future visits after she corrects the horrible work performed by her. The girls at the office are incompetent. My insurance company kept saying that they never received anything from them. The girls at the office said they sent it three times. My insurance company said they never received it. Once they have your money, they don't care about you. I put out of my pocket $2500. Dr. Mehta put a bridge in my mouth and I have not eaten in four days. Only liquids because food gets stuck where she put the bridge. I went to her on Friday January 14, 2025 and she cleaned where there was food stuck that I could not get out. I woke up Saturday morning OK until I ate 2 crackers, then I was in agony again. I called her office at 2 am and left a message . I was in so much pain I could not sleep. She returned my call 2 days later on Monday and could not get me in until Wednesday, January 22, 2025. I work and I am not taking off work nor going in before work to be in agony at work. She could care less. I told her that this was not a good fit, and it needs to come out and redone. She said she would take it out and leave the hole there. I told her that she either reimburses me or makes me another bridge. So needless to say I have to go back on Wednesday January 22, 2025. She hung up on me three times during this conversation because she didn't want to hear or like what I was saying . I called her back and told her it was very unprofessional to hang up on her patients. She tried to tell me that the 3 hang ups were dropped calls. She doesn't know how to deal with patients/myself and has no patience. She was tossing her tools around because she was angry that I was complaining that she didn't do a good job. She did not like what I had to say and was acting like a bratty child. She told me that she takes a little pouch with her toothbrush, her pics and whatever else she needs to get the food out of her teeth. I said, you do this every time you go out to dinner and she said yes. Well, I can't go through all those motions and carry a pouch with dental tools in my pocketbook. Something is wrong because the bridge is not flush against my gums. That is why food is getting jammed in there. I have three friends that have bridges and never had a problem like this. She needs to reimburse me or make another mold and not at my expense nor my insurances. She also made a cap for me, the tooth is at an angle crooked. It was never like that prior to her making that cap, she insists that that's the way it should be. I am not happy with that either. I wore braces for four years so my teeth were straight. Once she finishes or fixes what she started, I won't be going back. As I'm writing this, I am in pain and will be until Wednesday. My insurance company is aware of all of this. I am so unhappy and I'm in so much pain.

I am not a fan of doctors, but she has been the only doctor in the city that took time to explain what she is doing and why she is doing it without rushing me out the door. My appointments have always been on time, and she is very thorough. For example, I have always left the dentist office for years with the no cavities. But she is the first dentist to share that while I don't have any cavities there is an area that a small cavity has formed but if I keep flossing it may never spread and may never need a filling. My orthodontist caught the issue on 8/6/2021 and told me to ask them to go over the areas. Called 8/9/2021 and was told I would need to be recharged for services not satisfactorily done the Wednesday prior. So I changed Dentist's and will be taking the family members and friends I referred. Do not want them being taken advantage of either.
