My visits to the Aberdeen Location off 34 are always great but this last visit with Casey the clinical manager, Dr. Patel, and Vickie the office manager was exceptional. Dr. Mircea is very good at what he does. The reason for his first 2 stars is because he is not a man of his word. My wife and I have been patience of Prosmiles of Hasbrouck Heights for several years. My first visit to this practice was due to an emergency and my regular dentist was away on vacation. Dr. Mircea wanted to earn my business and agreed to 25% discount if I paid in cash. Since Dr. Mircea's office was just a few blocks from where I lived I agreed to be his patient with the understanding that my wife and I would receive a 25% discount. After several years and probably more than $15,000 dental work Dr. Mircea broke our agreement without notice. On April 5th my wife had a cleaning and I had a cleaning and x/rays. The receptionist told me that the bill was $542.00. I asked if that amount included my 25% discount. I would always ask if I received the 25% discount because a number of times they would forget the agreement I had with the Dr. Mircea. With regard to the discount on the $542.00 charge the response I received was "not anymore". My response was then I will pay with a credit card and you can remove our names from your system we will take our business somewhere else where they don't go back on their word. The receptionist went to the back and spoke with Dr. Mircea. When the receptionist returned she said they would give me the 25% discount. I said it's a little late for that. The doctor and I had an agreement and he broke it without any notice. I said you should have told me there was no longer a discount before we had any work done today. I not only lost the $113.00 discount I was charge a 3% fee for using my credit card. Instead of paying the agreed amount of "$339.00" I was charged $558.26! Note to Dr. Mircea: You must post a notice that there is a surcharge fee when using a credit card. Last year Governor Murphy passed the following law: Sellers who impose surcharges for credit card payments must disclose the amount of the surcharge to their customers before the customers incur any charge for goods or services, generally by posting a clear and conspicuous notice on a sign at the point of entry and point of sale. In addition the surcharge must listed on the receipt as a separate line item. Dr. Mircea was going to do 4 implants for me and my wife needed one. Another dentist will earn our business. I waited 12 days before posting this review thinking that perhaps Dr. Mircea would apologize for the way this was handled. A handshake agreement used to mean something. read more

Had the most amazingly thorough cleaning done here by Melissa. She did an incredible job and was very helpful in showing me how to reduce inflammation to my gums. Very knowledgable. I switched to this place after being recommended by a relative and becoming unsatisfied with my old dentist who I'd been with for 22 years. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it took 20 mins to see the doctor after my cleaning was finished for a 2 min meet and greet. Other than that, I strongly recommend for anyone in search of a good dental spot. read more

I just love them! I found them through groupon, and I've used them ever since. The place is light and has a great atmosphere. Everyone was just friendly and not pushy. They had this really cool camera that they put in my mouth and I was just really impressed with all the high equipment. At first I thought they were going to charge me for all these little things, but the price was what was quoted. Because I was concerned. Dentists have a reputation for being expensive. Normally I never write a review, but I have to share my worst experiences.This was nothing but a BIG SCAM!!! I was told that I would be getting a best dental service. So to cut a long story short,About 6 years ago i had major crowns reconstruction procedure done as dentist recommended. About six month after my crowns start gating lose one after another !!!!!!!!! Since it wasn't getting any better, the dentist told me they would re-do it but i have to pay again for that service - I gave up this is absolute joke. This company seems like they are involved in some highly illegal business practices.I had the most horrific experience with Prosmiles They tell you what's included in the price to get you in the door and then tell you that you need more. I got... SCAM, SCAM, SCAM... I will bad mouth this company to anyone who will listen. This has been absolutely the worst experience of my life. read more

I just started going to Prosmiles after having a different dentist that I loved for about 10 years. I was so nervous to try a new dentist and after my first visit with Prosmiles I was so happy with the staff, my cleaning, and the x-rays. Melissa was so knowledgeable during the cleaning. She gave me great advice for my teeth and was understanding about my sensitive gums. Alexa had to do 18 x-rays on my mouth and somehow made it not so bad! The office is SO clean and efficient. I had a tooth extraction done by Dr Mircea Andriescu. I normally go to their Edgewater office so was my first time here. It was an excellent experience considering the unfortunate nature of my visit; extraction recommended by an endontist. The office is modern, clean, zen like. The staff put a great emphasis in keeping a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is incredibly professional and friendly. Grace in the front office did an excellent job answering all my questions and was very knowledgeable on my insurance coverage. Marina, the dental assistant, calmed my nerves chatting with me and telling me about the procedure while assuring me the doctor was well experienced. Then when Dr Andriescu came in, he walked me through the procedure and started. I was extremely nervous but the staff did a great job keeping me calm. I did not even feel when the doctor actually got the tooth. It was quick, painless, and I was surprisingly happy at how easy it was. Within 24 hours I was already eating solid food again. Highly recommend them, what a great experience for someone like me who fears dentists! Their Edgewater office is just as excellent. read more

Great place! My only complaint is that being a new customer, the only two people that introduced themselves was the receptionist and the periodontist. Staff members are working in my mouth and I don't even know their names. LOL!! I live a while away from Hasbrouk, but I make the drive cos the closer dentists have super long waiting lines filled with kids... And the dentists aren't that friendly. I'm glad i looked up best dentists in NJ and found Prosmiles. Dr. Mircea 's a really nice guy along with his staff that help you with dental work. I came in for the first time cause a filling I had from a previous dentist started becoming painful when chewing on. Dr. Mircea explains everything to you in detail, he told me that the tooth had decayed inside and that it's almost dead and tested it to make sure. They tried to accommodate my situation with insurance the best they could and did the first part of the root canal and wait for my insurance to come back for the next part of the exam. The root canal was explained thoroughly even though i couldn't talk back and they always checked on me when they had to wait for the cleaning to set it. The place is very nice, parking isn't hard to find but there is a 2 hour limit. When you walk in, it's a very modern looking office with separate rooms for operation. Each seat has a tv with remote so you can watch shows while you wait for them to prep and continue to watch while they operate. It's very clean, which is important to me especially in a place where your mouth will be open for a long time. The procedures were painless, even for a root canal. At my old dentist, they gave me this blob looking thing as a temporary crown, but at Prosmiles, the Dr. and his assistant give me a very nice impression of how my old tooth was. all for a temporary crown! i'm currently waiting for my permanent to come. I highly recommend Prosmiles. very professional doctors and assistants. nice environment, very good bedside manner which is important to me. Growing up I had horrible experiences at the dentist that led me to stop going for years. When I finally decided to go back, I could not be any happier that I picked ProSmiles. The professionalism of the staff is unlike anything. They go above and beyond with the patient's comfort always in mind. I have had nothing but good experiences there, and I have had to have a few things done..from a root canal, to deep cleanings, to wisdom teeth removal. All were pain free. This place did not feel like a dental office. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by a lovely lady who was very friendly and helpful with all my questions. The space was clean , bright and open. Did not feel like I was at a dentist office. The hygienist did an amazing job at cleaning my teeth, felt NO PAIN!! Both the dentist and hygienist were friendly and extremely knowledgable. Overall the entire staff at Prosmiles did a great job. I have finally found a dentist I can trust!!
