Wanted some brekky in Manayunk so ended up stopping in for a bagel and latkes. This location just opened recently and I've never had a kismet bagel before so wanted to try em. Staff are quite nice and ordering is quick, though the wait was a bit on the longer side. Menu has many standard bagel and sandwich options, and they have many coffee choices as well. The bagel sandwiches seemed a bit pricey so I just opted for a basic bagel. Everything bagel was tasty though a bit on the small-medium side. Decent enough with the seasoning and texture. Garlic and herb cream cheese wasn't as flavorful as I'd expected, though might've been overpowered by so much seasoning on the bagel. The latkes were also just okay, a nice little fried treat. They come with your choice of apple sauce, sour cream, or a few other options. Thanks

The sandwich tasted great all the veggies were fresh and tomato nice and juicy. Spicy smear was a good switch as I like things a little spicy! If you never had Natalie's oj you are missing out! Best oj around besides fresh squeezed! Will be back again

So excited to have a bagel place on Majn St! Got the spicy and I loved it (but a little messy). Later on I got the BEC but the egg was really thick proportionally. Haven't tried the coffee yet though!

A delicatessen with a pickle bar?! Count me in! A must visit destination for me when visiting one…read moreof my besties in Philly. I've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner through the years. Their challah French toast is something I often think fondly of! They've always been super friendly, and this location may be older but kept clean. I would not just return, but suggest others to stop by in they are visiting the area!

My partner had been to both Murray's Deli and Hymie's Deli in Ardmore. We wanted to have lunch…read moreafter an appointment, so I took a quick look on Yelp, and decided to go to Hymie's. It was packed - only a few tables were available at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. We were immediately seated and looked over the menu. We decided to share a 1/2 Pastrami sandwich ( you can order 1/2 a sandwich ), 1/2 a Corned Beef sandwich, an order of Potato Latkes and we each had a small bowl of Chicken Matzo Ball soup. The soup was delicious - it was a little bowl with tiny shreds of carrots and chicken. The broth tasted very good, however, the matzo ball was a 'little' different. They were light and fluffy - but there was no texture or flavor at all....none. I would have thought the matzo balls would have absorbed some of the flavor from the soup, but it didn't. I finished the soup, but left the matzo ball. My partner likes pastrami over corned beef - she says it's a more 'peppery' flavor. While I probably prefer corned beef over pastrami because it's a leaner cut, my 'baseline' for pastrami is Katz's (NYC). I'm sure Katz's has great corned beef, but I've only had pastrami there - it's the best I've had. I thought my Corned Beef sandwich was excellent - it was lean, tender and very tasty. I squeeze out a little mound of mustard on my plate and dip. My partner thought her Pastrami sandwich was very good - it was also quite lean. I took a few bites of the pastrami, I thought my corned beef was tastier and had more texture. It almost seemed like they sliced the pastrami too thin. She liked her pastrami more than my corned beef - I suppose it's all a matter of individual taste. The Potato Latkes were delicious - especially with the applesauce! They were a little thicker than I might have preferred, possibly from either potato starch or matzo meal. However, there was a very nice potato taste and the thicker texture was fine. Of course, on the way out I saw a large selection of pasties and had to try a few! I got a few of the Rugelach and a Poppy Hamantash. The Rugelach were a disappointment - the interiors of all were very thick and doughy. I ate some of the exterior layers.....and left the rest. The Poppy Hamantash, on the other hand was one of the best I've had. It was by far the largest one I've ever had! As a result, there wasn't enough Mohn (poppy filling) for such a large pastry! The filling was very good as was the cookie (it was like 1/2 scone and 1/2 cookie)! Overall, Hymie's exceeded my expectations and I'll look forward to returning.

My favorite beef steak sandwich in philly!!!…read more I eat gluten friendly and lactose free when I can and boy was I excited when I learned they had a gluten free bun for their hoagies! The upcharge is steep (~$4-5 Nov 2025), but the hoagie length is like the size of a forearm! What's better is that they also stuff the sandwiches to the brim, where the filling starts to spill out. The food is delicious. And most of the menu hits when you're craving greasy quick and filling food. Service is quick and timely. Ordering online is nice to build loyalty points and easy to customize orders. But the online fees - credit card & website charge, even when it's directly from their website, are high. The shop is on the corner of a street in Manayunk, so parking can be difficult or expensive. There is very limited seating. A few high tables along the window and high top chairs, nothing too comfortable. Carry out or takeout is recommended. I'll still come back, esp for their gluten friendly hoagie bun!! The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, with only two small tables for seating. Luckily, there was only one other customer when I arrived, so I was able to grab a seat. The interior has a subtle Star Wars theme, but nothing too extravagant in terms of decorations. Ordering is done by scanning a QR code and placing your order online. I decided to try the Vodka Pesto Rebel sandwich. It took about 15-20 minutes for my food to come out, which was a little longer than I expected considering there was only one other customer ahead of me. When the sandwich finally arrived, I was shocked by how HUGE it was! It genuinely felt like it weighed close to two pounds. The sandwich was absolutely packed with crispy chicken cutlet, which I loved. The inside of the sesame bun was coated with a garlic pesto spread, giving it an almost garlic bread-like flavor. The marinara sauce had a nice tanginess to it, and all the flavors complemented each other really well. The portion size was incredibly generous, and I ended up eating the sandwich over the course of two meals. For the amount of food you get, it's definitely worth the price! Despite the slightly longer wait, I was really impressed with the sandwich and would absolutely come back to try more of their menu.
