It seems like bagel shops are popping up everywhere, which I am not complaining. Grew up eating NY bagels, and bagels are truly one of the supreme food Bart's Bagels in Mantua was yummy, esp with their beet horseradish cream cheese. I always loved pumpernickel or rye bagels, and the beet and horseradish cream cheese goes well with these bagels (if I feel fancy I also put some smoked salmon). The service was good, place clean, so definitely hoping they stay around.
From time to time, I crave an old fashioned NYC, Jewish deli style bagel with a schmear of cream cheese. This place satisfied my craving, entirely. Martinelli's Apple Juice, fresh squeezed orange juice, and innovative cream cheese flavors led to an instant attraction. I had an everything pumpernickel bagel with beet horseradish cream cheese, the juiciest smoked salmon, red onion, tomato, and capers. Not only was the service polite and attentive, I was allowed to taste test my cream cheese flavor before having it on my sandwich. I am in LOVE and will be back to satisfy my bagel cravings. I also was able to grab a quarter pound of hot smoked salmon cream cheese that I plan on enjoying at work this week as a snack. L'chaim!
Got the pretty in Pink smoked salmon bagel. Loved the fresh herbs and pickle onion features. The bagels were fresh with the perfect crunch. Loved the quick pick up window and fun set up out front.
Hands down favorite bagel spot in the city! The only (or one of the only) place in Philly you can get pumpernickel, pumpernickel everything, egg, and egg everything bagels. The spreads are great and the breakfast sandwiches are great too. Easy to order ahead and pickup as well!
Pretty solid bagel spot. They have some interesting options and some interesting actual bagels, including pumpernickel and egg. The turkey bacon on pumpernickel was pretty standard egg/cheese, but hit the spot. The smoked fish diablo I was never going to be a huge fan of but it was interesting. The bagels themselves were solid.
Classic Smoked Fish with Pastrami Smoked Salmon Ugh. Unbelievable. We got the classic Smoked fish and asked them to sub the Smoked Salmon with the pastrami version, which was so sooo good. Just everything you want in a lox Bagel. Great great bagel, fillings were really the highlight! Interior had no AC, not sure if it was just that day
This place is so tried and true. I ordered the Classic smoked fish bagel for 12.75. The bagel did not come toasted and it did not need to. Extra points because this bagel included capers and that to me makes a delicious bagel sammie. what stood out to me was how crunchy the toppings were in the bagel. The onion, tomato and capers gave it the perfect texture compared to the cream cheese, great spread of cc on the top and bottom and the fish was not slimey or stringy but perfect, nothing fell out of the sandwhich which was good because i was eating it on the go.
Really cute bagel shop in a great location. They had a good selection and were very fairly priced. Honestly I thought my bagel was going to be way more expensive so I was happy. The egg everything bagel was delicious and I recommend adding pickled onions. Friendly service
WOW THESE SANDWICHES! Barts bagels rocks! Their bagels are delicious, but the wide variety of spreads and intense sandwich options are the real sell. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here, but the whitefish spread is especially good (and hard to find at other places). There are a couple of small tables outside to sit and eat, and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely be back over and over read more

Really delicious, incredibly fresh bagels, so moist, chewy and flavorful you don't need cream cheese (but available if you must). Cinnamon Raisin bagel is packed full of raisins with a generous cinnamon swirl, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, just as a Perfect bagel should be!! Service is great and for ambience, you can watch bagels being baked in the open kitchen from a large picture window in the store. read more

Top 3 bagel sandwiches of my life. We ordered online on a Sunday morning - got 2 coffees, a Bart's ham and egg on an everything bagel, and a chicken chorizo & eggs on a plain bagel. Both were ready on time and the baristas/workers were friendly and kind. Both sandwiches were worth savoring. The chicken chorizo had a good balance of saltiness and spice, but the jalapeños were a step up to the overall flavor. Coffee was really good too - a hint of sweetness in a way that didn't take away from the coffee bean flavor itself. read more

I downloaded Yelp to leave this review after many years of avoiding it... the Rosenberg is the BEST bagel I've ever had in my life! Amazing bagel, great fish, right ratios, and spectacular textures; I would give this bagel a 10/10, and I've had hundreds of bagels--not one lived up to this! The staff was friendly as well and there was great music playing :). read more

Bart's is the real deal. They do smoked fish and schmear really well. They also accommodate to my bagel scoop out request, which I appreciate. As a native New Yorker, I'm familiar with good, great and bad bagels. Bart's can compete with a few places in NY, any day of the week! read more

I was on the hunt for a good New York style bagel and these did not disappoint. Got the lox breakfast sandwich and the egg and cheese and they were fantastic. Service was super quick, not much sitting room inside but there were a couple of tables outside on the sidewalk. Will definitely be back here! read more

I ordered the classic smoked fish on an everything bagel. The bagel didn't seem toasted and I was kinda disappointed about this. It was my first time there so I'm not sure if I have to specify that next time. My sandwich was tasty and everything was fresh. Theres a lot of variety on their menu so I'd def go back to try more things. Orders are done outside at the window read more

We noticed the long line and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. After surfing through the Yelp photos we noticed we could do a online order and pick it up. My bf ordered the turkey bacon cheddar cheese with egg on pumpernickel bagel. I ordered the everything bagel with chicken salad lettuce and tom with bacon and pickled relish. Both sandwiches were amazing and were already planning out next trip enjoy!! read more

Bart's bagels is my go-to spot to order from for my Sunday bagels. They don't go light on the toppings and I love that. They have bigger bagels than a lot of places in Philadelphia and they're heartier than some of the other spots in Philly, which I like. read more

How many seats are there? I'm guessing not many.
Yes, it's a little tight...I think there was three tables, but also a standing "bar" in middle. Not a big deal as tables turn over quickly since ur not there for a seven course meal. Looks like there may also be space for outside seating once…
