We saw the lady at Home Depot offering a free estimate for showers. Wow! My wife and I accepted the appointment that same afternoon. The young man Jaime Rosales stopped by on time for our scheduled appointment, and we listened to his offer. He was an excellent professional salesman. We liked the materials that were offered and the design of the shower. We agreed to fill out and application and in an hour and a half we were on the way for our redesigned walk in shower. Next we set up a demo day and things got going. James Stevens and his son Daniel got things rolling and in half a day the bathroom had been cleaned out of the old shower and tub. I liked how they cleaned up the area, also I was impressed how they covered the work area and the in and out path way. During this time the Field Manager Danny Ramirez called and said he would be by to see how things went. He also said if there was anything that we needed just to call him. After the demo was done the plumber Andy showed up to set up the water lines and faucet and got it ready for the City Inspection. Once the city inspected the water lines and the faucet and framing the area the inspector gladly signed off on the work. After the inspection things really started going fast. Framing continued, more measurements and mounting beautiful walls and trim around the walls. As things started wrapping up, we didn't necessarily like the caddies for the shower walls. I discussed the situation with Jerry Rodriguez and he got the caddies we liked . Then the most important thing, the City Inspector signed off on the work. Also any job needs someone that makes sure things are going right and complete. I feel that person is Danny Ramirez. Walked out within less than 15 minutes when this place of business could have easily made at least a $5k sale, had someone just offered to help us.

Extremely disappointed with Five Star Bath Solutions of Arlington…read more My experience with Five Star Bath Solutions has gone from being very positive to extremely frustrating. When we initially had our bathroom remodeled, everything seemed great. We were happy with the finished product and had no complaints about the installation. Unfortunately, about four months after the remodel, we started noticing mold growing in and underneath the caulk along the entire bottom perimeter of the shower, where the walls meet the shower base. This is especially concerning because this is a brand-new bathroom installation. The caulk is still firmly attached, yet mold is appearing underneath and throughout the bottom seam. At the very least, I expect Five Star to come out, inspect the installation, determine what is causing the problem, and properly correct it. The worst part of this experience has been the complete lack of customer service after the sale. I have called the Arlington location multiple times asking for someone to come out and inspect the issue under the warranty. I have not been given an appointment or even received a meaningful response. I also contacted the company's national customer-service/sales line, only to be told that all they could do was send another message to the Arlington office. I then sent a formal written warranty request by email, and I still received no response. That is unacceptable. Five Star advertises a lifetime warranty and emphasizes that its warranty is locally serviced. When you spend a significant amount of money on a professionally installed bathroom, you shouldn't have to repeatedly call, email, and chase the company down just to get someone to acknowledge a problem only four months after installation. I am extremely disappointed--not necessarily because something went wrong, because problems can happen with any installation, but because Five Star has shown virtually no urgency or accountability in addressing the problem. I sincerely hope someone eventually takes responsibility and comes out to inspect and properly resolve this. If they do, I will gladly update this review to reflect how the situation was handled. For now, however, I cannot recommend Five Star Bath Solutions of Arlington based on my experience with their post-installation warranty service and customer support.

The last homeowner had a cheap toilet installed, which created more problems than expected. Jake was fantastic throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain my options, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what I was paying for rather than just pushing me toward the most expensive solution. What really impressed me was that Jake worked the cost of the work they had already completed into the replacement toilet, which saved me a significant amount of money. I never got a solid plan, they hard-sold me high, promising we would reduce it, just to make me sign the contract. (my first mistake) Of course, those meetings to discuss my priorities and reduce the budget, never came. My dream wasn't realized as they either vetoed, forgot or bumbled each feature of my design. Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with.
