I did not interrupt, after their short conversation, they continued to ignore the repeated call from the register. I eventually left the items I had on the register and walked out. Price inflation and chip shortages made me fear that I was in for yet another headache in shopping for major appliances. I didn't need a gleaming new appliance set, just something simple and reliable, ideally name brand, that wouldn't break the piggy bank. Well, that's what I got. Dad and I just hooked up both units and they work just fine (after swapping out a rubber washer on one of the hookup hoses). Consider this: All the chips, sensors and computerized stuff has made appliances both more expensive and more complicated to repair. Midtown Appliance seems to have more of the older, mechanical models and doesn't mess with the touchy, wonky technology. It makes sense.
