I got overcharged a little and noticed it after we'd left. I figured it was a simple mistake and, after talking to Tina, I found that there are 2 SKUs on cut merchandise. The guy scanned the wrong one. I had a pic of the "Cut Merchandise Ticket" showing the length and the ticket with the charge. She said I could come in and get the refund. I told her it was difficult to say when since I'm an hour away. After some magic she got me fixed up. $25 isn't a lot in the total, but every penny counts! What I didn't tell her is that I am a 100% disabled Veteran and it is a chore to get a ride coordinated. That played no part in this conversation, although HD is very Veteran friendly, unlike some other big box stores who took away our discounts. She fixed it because it was a customer issue, simple mistake, I had a picture of everything, etc. This is great customer support and service. It is primarily for the customer support and dependability that I do business an hour away instead of 20-25 minutes at an unreliable store who doesn't care how you're treated. As a note, if you have an issue but have not provided HD an opportunity to fix it, you should do better. Everyone makes mistakes, so give them a chance to fix it. Just my 2 cents. worth less due to inflation.

Price inflation and chip shortages made me fear that I was in for yet another headache in shopping for major appliances. I didn't need a gleaming new appliance set, just something simple and reliable, ideally name brand, that wouldn't break the piggy bank. Well, that's what I got. Dad and I just hooked up both units and they work just fine (after swapping out a rubber washer on one of the hookup hoses). Consider this: All the chips, sensors and computerized stuff has made appliances both more expensive and more complicated to repair. Midtown Appliance seems to have more of the older, mechanical models and doesn't mess with the touchy, wonky technology. It makes sense.

Instead of taking responsibility for selling a faulty appliance, they tried claiming the issue was somehow my house, despite there being no clogs or problems with my setup at all. This business clearly does not stand behind the products they sell or the promises they make. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and wasted money. Take your hard-earned money somewhere else and deal with a company that actually values its customers.
