Turns out the entire heated patio is first come, first served, and we were seated almost immediately. It was one of those windy Indiana afternoons where the cold finds every gap in your jacket. I fully expected to spend lunch shivering. Somehow, the heated patio felt warmer than the restaurant itself. Between the TVs, football on every screen, and the patio heaters, we had zero complaints. Now let's talk about the famous pepperoni-stuffed breadsticks. They're a must. And order your own nacho cheese. Seriously. Don't expect anyone to share. I could eat a shoe dipped in their cheese and probably enjoy every bite. The breadsticks always arrive piping hot, stuffed with gooey mozzarella, and if we're judging on a cheese-pull scale...I'm giving them a solid 7/10 on the stretch meter. As for our server, Zach...what a true gem. He's one of those people I'd honestly be surprised to hear anyone say they didn't like. Funny, quick with the jokes, and somehow kept up with the chaos without missing a beat. He also made sure my lemon drop martinis never had a chance to get lonely. Since I wasn't driving, he happily assisted me in...staying hydrated. The place was busy enough that we couldn't stand around chatting long, but he's the kind of person you'd genuinely enjoy running into again. We've been here twice now, and both visits have been consistently great. Whether you're stopping in to catch the game, escape the cold on the heated patio, or simply satisfy a craving for those ridiculously good breadsticks, Ale Emporium continues to be one of our favorite spots. Just don't skip the breadsticks...and trust me, order your own cheese. You'll understand after the first bite.

Great atmosphere, service that stayed attentive across the whole table all night, and a room that made a work dinner feel like an actual night out. No small thing for a group that size. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla with fresh salsa and guacamole. Everything tasted like it was made that day. The quesadilla was crispy, well filled, and gone faster than I planned. The DT Old Fashioned was well built and needed no explanation. Both did their jobs. Gratuity was already added for the group, which is fair. The check split individually without drama. Fifteen people, zero chaos. The Force was clearly with the staff that evening. Five stars. Good food, good service, good night.

Our server was pretty great, and up front about wait times. We went when the kitchen has a crew shortage, so there was a wait for food. For appetizers: nachos were great, but if you ordered a simple nacho, it's meh, we had to add several things and added $$ to make it REAL nachos. The dip for the pork rinds was good. The table ordered truffle fries, they finished it. It was our first time trying Upland beers. Most of the options are IPA and tart beers. None of which I like. The mixed drinks menu was meh, they offer 2 hard ciders, but one was unavailable. Our server let us try samples and she was very patient. For main dishes: I ordered a Salmon BLT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I didn't eat it with the bun, salmons was very thin, 1 piece of bacon, slice of tomato and 1 piece of lettuce. We had mac and cheese, DO NOT ORDER, it was floating in fat and there's no taste to it. Fish and chips was okay. The pizza was the highlight, it saved the night, I think. Bathrooms clearly labeled, easily seen, and clean. For 6 people, 2 of whom did not have alcoholic drinks (just water), our bill with tip was over $350. I would not come back here again, I had a better time and better food at other breweries.

My wife had a side salad with hers. I enjoyed and order of their Shotgun Shrimp. The sandwich is very large, I cut mine half and got a full sandwich out of each half. The breading was good, not quite as crispy as some that we've had but it was good. The tenderloin itself had good flavor but had quite a bit of gristle. Serving temp was excellent, not mouth blistering, but not cool or cold like some have been I enjoyed the shotgun shrimp. Very tasty and satisfying. It could have used a little more kick, but my wife thought it was quite spicy so perhaps it was good. I just like it to tickle my mouth a little more. My wife loved her salad, crisp lettuce and the dressing was good Overall, a nice evening. The two things that would have moved my rating up to 5 would have been no gristle in the meat (we've been to 3 other places on this Trail and this was the only one that had gristle) and the background music made it difficult to talk. We left quickly because we couldn't visit comfortably Otherwise, we enjoyed the food, the ambiance was nice and the service excellent

The cutlet was a good size, the appearance was what you'd want, the cutlet far over the bun. Unfortunately it was dry and not particularly flavorful. But honestly, next time I'm in the area, I'd pass on Bubba's and probably won't be hankering for a pork sandwich again.

I'd even go so far as to say that this is one of the better IPAs I've had in a long while. Beer flights at MashCraft are generous 6-ounce pours. You get four of them, and there are 16 different beers, ciders and sours to choose from. I got the Prickly Dragon (a sour with notes of prickly pear and dragonfruit), the MashCraft IPA (yumyumyum and my favorite, as we already established), Squeeze the Juice (an New England IPA), and Triple Jam from Blake's Hard Cider, which was too sweet for me and tasted a little like cough syrup. They also offer wine and cocktails here, but I didn't see them on the menu. I was told this verbally by our extremely gregarious and outgoing server. One cool thing about this MashCraft is that they have an outdoor pickle ball court! The chicken sandwich I had was delicious, but it was a bit messy. My friend also enjoyed her burger which was the special of the month. We ordered the special drink from Halloween, and it was tasty. I did think $10 was a bit high for what was essentially a vodka and sprite. Trivia was also a blast. They had cute prizes for the holiday and we even ended up winning a gift card. My pickup time was 4:14 p.m., and I arrived on time. I stood at the front for about 10 minutes while multiple employees walked past without acknowledging me. One employee at the bar looked at me several times but never spoke or let anyone know I was waiting. During that time, another customer walked in and was immediately asked if he needed assistance. I had to speak up and say I'd been waiting to get help. To make matters worse, my order wasn't even ready at the scheduled pickup time. I also noticed another couple come in and wait without being greeted. The manager did apologize and offered complimentary appetizers, which I appreciated, but the overall customer service left such a poor impression that I don't plan to return. The food was good, but good food doesn't make up for being ignored. While I was waiting, another couple came in and wasn't greeted either. They assumed it was self-seating, sat down for a while without anyone acknowledging them, and eventually left. Watching that happen made me realize this wasn't just a one-time issue with my order it seemed like a breakdown in customer service that could easily cost the restaurant business. So, thank you to the manager who was tried to help and thank you to the 2 other ladies that finally came over.
