Excellent bourbon selection

Best townie bar I've ever been to. Don't come here for a 5 star experience.... Come here to meet good people, have some good food and good drinks at a good price. We wondered in here one day and now it's our favorite spot to swing by for a shot and beer.

Been here several times always for the music. Fun place for all music lovers to hang out. Party, relax, eat, drink, play some pool and listen to great local bands. Sadly I have not tried any food but I heard the wings are good.

Came here for dinner trivia and karaoke! This is definitely a divey bar. They have pool tables and a ping pong table. Several tables and chairs for seating and although we were at one of the last tables we could hear the trivia just fine! Karaoke was fun and I like they have a system where you scan a QR code and put in your name with the opportunity to search their selection of songs AND see the lineup of singers. I got the big Steve Fatty melt, and it was super good! The bread was grilled to perfection. They had a smash burger and in between and it was a massive amount of food for a good price. Only a few parking spots at the front but I believe they have some in the back as well.

Grilled tenderloin

Mousetrap when you walk in instantly gives you that classic dive bar feel, bar, stage, dance floor, and a room with pool tables and darts. Really cheap pool! Only $0.50!!! While there we had the grilled tenderloin and fries. For bar food this was actually really good. The meat was seasoned very well and kept its juiciness even with it being so thin. The fries were cooked perfectly, crispy and had a fluffy center. Will be going back!

YES. Go here! Stop scrolling and take the chance on this place. This had a typical hole in the wall bar feeling, only better. There is a large bar and stage, and I believe they have tables on the other side. We sat up at the bar, and within seconds we were greeted by the bartender. He was friendly, peppy, and although he was busy taking care of the entire bar by himself, he was QUICK. On their menu, they have a "famous for" section. We ordered two things from that menu, the tenderloin and chili. I went rogue and ordered the wings, because I'm always looking for a good wing. Let's start with the tenderloin... it is HUGE. If I didn't want to try so many things, my fiance and I could've EASILY split it and had some leftover. It was delicious and had a ton of flavor. The breading on there was perfect. Next up, the chili. It said it was grandma's recipe, and Grammy knew how to make an amazing chili. I will say I would've preferred it to be a little hotter (temperature wise) than what it actually was. I ended up getting a Togo bowl because I knew it'd be better hot. Finally, the wings. If you are looking for some amazing chicken wings in indy- this is it. They were big wings, had a ton of meat on them, and a lot of flavor. I got mild and garlic butter sauce, and I also tried the blackberry bourbon on the side. All of the sauces were delicious with it!! They are one of the best wings I've ever had in Indy. I used to live less than 5 minutes from this place, and I'm so upset with myself that I had never gone until now. Please go and give it a chance! We will definitely be back!!

Great for large groups and kids - we saw tons of both on our visit. We visited for a late lunch/early dinner (3:30) and split wings (soy garlic glaze) and the Woodstock pizza. It's the kind of spot where the energy is contagious--everyone's into the game, cheering, and just having a great time. Service really stood out too. Even with a full crowd, the staff stayed attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without making us feel rushed. You can tell they know how to handle a busy night while still making it feel personal. Whether you're there for a big game, a night out with friends, or just want a lively atmosphere with good food and drinks, Tom's Watch Bar is a win. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. We did have to wait for 20 min for our server to return to pay our bill. That was the only downside that was a bit crazy that she never came back!

Instead we got a live demonstration of how someone can be both a manager and completely allergic to managing. Nate approached our table like we had just personally asked him to work a double. Every question we asked was met with the same expression people make when their phone battery hits 1%. Asked if the TV could be switched to the game. Nate stared at the remote like it was a cursed artifact he legally wasn't allowed to touch. At one point he said, "I'll handle it." This was a bold claim considering he immediately disappeared and we never saw him again. I assume he's still somewhere in the building not handling it. Honestly, it was kind of fascinating to watch. Most managers run the place. Nate seems more like a guy who wandered in, got handed a manager title, and has been confused ever since. If Nate is the manager on duty, just know you'll be managing your own experience.

Big Lug Canteen delivers a memorable meal from start to finish -- friendly, unpretentious service,…read morea warm neighborhood vibe, and two standout dishes that I'll be ordering again. The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. It's plated thoughtfully, with complementary sides that keep each bite balanced. If you're at Big Lug Canteen, don't pass up those two dishes -- they demonstrate skilled technique, bold yet nuanced seasoning, and a real sense of care in the kitchen.
