What a great place! My daughter has a hard time focusing because she has ADHD, and when she got upset about something at the end, the transition with an additional coach was soo great! We came to Kips from another gymnastics place and we are so glad we changed. Barbara was SO helpful in getting my daughter set up in the right level course, even offering a couple of free trials so we can make sure the class was a good fit for her. She was so thoughtful and helpful throughout the whole process, patiently answering all our questions and listening to our needs. All the coaches I've seen here at Kips are so friendly and encouraging with the kids, and my daughter is so excited for each class. She's done three classes so far, and each time they focus on different skills and stretches, so there is a variety of things they're working on. When we first joined Kip's was amazing! The teachers would actually work with the kids and teach my 4y.o actual moves, now this place is a joke. They don't teach anything, and we decided to leave and join a new gym, we told them we would like to reimburse for the rest of the month and we were told yes. This place used to be great, sadly this new owner has completely changed the gym. The quality has gone down, while the prices have gone up. Nicole, the new owner, has now fired serval good and experienced coaches to replace them with unexperienced and poorly trained ones. My family switched to Kips from another local gymnastics studio and both of my daughters are much happier here. The studio is very clean and the coaches are very attentive. Both of my daughters have learned so much, and my older daughter recently made the pre competition team and is thriving. We are very happy at Kips and highly recommended this studio. read more

If you want to charge top dollar please hire staff to match the standards. There are more teachers that are inexperienced and below average on the floor than great teachers who spot properly and take the time to make sure your child thrives. This place only cares about money, your child is just a number. A lot of red flags. Most of the coaches are very rude to the kids, verbally abusive. There's a difference between being strict and just flat out unsupportive. If you speak up to management about any concerns you get the "we will look into it" with no follow up. I really miss Kips Gymnastics. My 4-year-old daughter has been to a total of 3 gyms, and I think she grew the MOST at Kips. I started her there right around the time she turned 3. The class was honestly kind of hard/advanced for her because she was still so little. I think that class had kids from 3-5yo. We only had a couple lessons before the gym shut down because of covid. They reopened August 2020 (I think?), and I took my daughter back and she stayed there until the end of 2020. She made tremendous progress during those 4 months at Kips. I think the class she was in (led by Coach Candace) was really good for her. Candace was great with young kids and knew how to support them well. The obstacle courses were also a good challenge; they had beams, bars, and lots of tumbling activities. I also liked that it was an hour long. I didn't give 5 stars though because they changed coaches often. My daughter had 3 coaches during the time she was there. There was one coach before covid whom we didn't see again when we returned post-covid shutdown. When we returned, we had Coach Whitney. Whitney, I think, had a hard time with the littler ones. Preschoolers need visual and hands-on learning. She relied too much on verbal multi-step directions, which are really hard for young kids to follow. She also didn't physically demonstrate a majority of the things the kids were asked to do in the obstacle courses. Older kids would be fine with verbal instructions only, but the young ones need visual cues and they need to see things shown to them. Then Coach Candace replaced Whitney. Candace had a lot of energy and SHOWED the kids what to do rather than just telling them what to do. She was a better fit for the 3-5yo class. We moved after 2020 and have been to 2 other gyms. Neither of them provides the same kind of rigor that Kips has. I would definitely return to Kips if we lived closer. I'm thankful for the time we spent there. read more

Ah, kips. I used to go here between the years of 2008-2013 and it was awesome. Now , I'm a mother with a 6 year old who I had attending for the last few months and I'm so disappointed at what this place has turned into. My daughter left her last 3 classes with her face in her hands sobbing because her coaches yelled at her and threatened to send her back to the beginners class because she needs a bit more attention and redirection. My daughter has a pretty mild case of adhd but, still has adhd and there was only 1 coach I could say that knew how to teach and redirect my daughter in a positive way. They really need to have those "teachers" take some sort of child development class as a requirement or make sure they even like kids in the first place. I believe KIPS should find some real professionals to train these kids. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. read more

Proud Grandmother here. One month has transpired and my very outgoing protégé, 2 1/2 year old Ava, is now an old pro tumbler. Sometimes it is quite easy to see when a child is ready for a challenge. She definitely was. It's truly amazing how, with just 5 lessons, she exudes such confidence and energy. Watching this joyful, athletic, fearless little thing tumbling, doing forward rolls, bouncing on the trampoline, hanging on the bars, climbing ropes and ladders, makes me wonder why I waited so long. My wiry, little daredevil (certainly not from my side of the family) has that "I'll try anything once" attitude. I make it my duty to encourage that spirit. Nearly boo-boo proof, this is the perfect venue for her. Its a padded room. The Kips staff exemplifies the playfulness, sensitivity and demeanor necessary to inspire these little ones. The classes are set up according to age. Ava will remain in this class until she is age 3 at which time she will graduate into the group that goes to age 4 1/2. Such little ones, as young as 18 months, these children are laughing, trusting, with no tears and a " Let's do it again!" attitude, what every parent should aspire to cultivate in their child. They offer a discounted family rate, and after seeing his little sister have the time of her life, big brother Drew announced he wanted to do this, too. Surprise! While not nearly as coordinated, athletic, or daring as his sister, we are thrilled he is willing. He is now enrolled in the age 3 to 4 1/2 class that runs at the same time. In a short time we have already seen improvement in his coordination, strength building, and social skills. He clearly loves it and has no idea of how it has already benefited him! Parents/guardians are expected to participate for this 18 month to 3 y/o class. From then on, you are benched. The first lesson is free. The coaches are experienced. The facilities are well maintained. Kips has programs that reach as far as competition level for age 17. read more

My 3 year daughter attends this gymnastics facility and I am sorry that I even brought her to this place. Instructors have no Order in class Instructors dont have enough emphasis on taking turns Some Children are running every where w no supervision Instructors have preferenc over children Instructors are to busy with children that are misbehaving and dont pay attention to the rest of the class. Instructors seem over whelm with size of class This is the second time I am voicing my concerns. Children that are misbehaving should have been remove from class so other students could learn in a stress free environment. I can't write a more positive review for kips! My daughter and I absolutely the mommy and class and coach Carol is a godsend! She sets up each class so there is consistency and yet always brings out different objects so the kids can learn a new skill all while they are fully engaged and participating. My daughter has been coming here for almost a year and she loves it. She is very shy and this was the first class we have put her in hoping to bring her out of her shell a bit. At the first class she didn't want to go with the rest of the kids but the teachers stayed with her until she was comfortable. Her teachers (Carol, Candice, and a guy I don't know his name) have been amazing. They are sweet to the kids, but still keep them in line and paying attention. They are patient and fun. What can I say, both of my daughters were competitive dancers and were trying out for cheer leading at Corona High School. They attended Kips for years under the guidance of Dennis and Ann Mailly and I can tell you that their catch phrase "Perfect Practice Makes Perfect" and I can tell you that bar none, there is absolutely no one more qualified to instruct your kids, nor is their a safer environment for them! Love this gym! Started looking for activitys for my toddler and found Kips later discovering from my mother that it was the same company that I had attended as a child! Pretty cool :) My 3 year old daughter attends class once a week. They do everything from stretching to floor routines, balance beams, bars,trampoline and more! She always has a great time and the coaches are sweet and encourage Emma to meet goals which builds her confidence. She comes home and talks about the activitys they did and wants to show me her summersalts and tuckjumps ect. It's also a great workout considering everything is so technology based with tv and iPads. It's great to see her when she's done and her bangs are all sweaty lol Highly recommend also very affordable! read more

My daughter goes to Kips for the last couple of years, and she has learned a lot, especially while being at the team gym. Coach Tiffany was great at training my daughter, but she is no longer there. The one weakness of the gym is that they often don't stay consistent with the classes being offered, and you are left wondering what's the next move for your child. In general, I found the staff very nice and helpful. The pricing seems reasonable, but it's definitely not on the low end especially when your child moves up to the teams. If that's the case, get ready for some time investment for the competitions and related travel. read more

This is a great place to start taking your little one if they are interested in gymnastics or just for them to let some energy out. My three year old used to attend here once a week. The girls who taught her class were so so patient with her and helped her learn all the skills that were necessary for the class. Although my daughter never quite got used to going (maybe we'll try again in the future!) I could tell she was really looked after. My only complaint would be how busy this facility is on Saturdays. My little one was almost knocked over multiple times by older girls due to the lack of space. It might be best to stagger or limit the Saturday classes so toddlers don't get hurt. However, I have a feeling many parents like the convenience of a Saturday class. We switched to a mid-week class and it was much better for us. read more

We have all 3 of our kids try classes at Kips, they have enjoyed every second of it:) My little girl needed to quickly learn how to do cartwheels for a Jazz show that she was in. I quickly signed her up for for private, weekly lessons with Jonah. Jonah has done an amazing job with my 6 year old and had her doing perfect cartwheels in a matter of weeks. Jonah is a natural teacher and does a great job of being strict, but making the time fun. She enjoyed his lessons so much that we continued her weekly class as well as her private one-on-one lessons with him. She loves gymnastics so much that we decided to move forward with gymnastics instead of dance:) We even enrolled her in one of their 3 day camps this Summer and it was a huge hit. The day was full of amazing activities and surprisingly reasonably priced. My daughter is really shy so watching her face light up after she learns something new at gymnastics had been wonderful!!! Our granddaughter is in the younger class and our only dislike is how many different coaches that age group has gone through. My daughter has been going for years and she loves it. Her coach is very friendly and I love how they focus on technique even with the toddlers. It makes her happy to move around. My son likes it too but he doesn't pay attention to the teachers so we pulled him out. He mostly liked running around the facility since it is pretty fun.
