This Mediterranean place is an absolute treat. Inside it is clean, organized and has great decoration on the walls. The interior has a great aroma that was fresh and mouth watering. Outside is the complete opposite. It kind of reminds me of Nevada, there were tumbleweeds, unsafe territory and although it appears uncomfortable to walk around, there were no crimes nearby. However, at night it can be extra dangerous and scary. The food ordered was the chicken kabob combo, 6 pieces of chicken, which also included jasmine and yellow rice. The sauces ordered were baba ganoush and tzatziki. Another small side was spicy potato. Luckily this was complimentary and was not bad at all. The owner and his wife greeted me and my accomplice as we sat down. Fortunately we were the only customers which meant the wait for our food was shorter than it could be. The customer service was great and I felt safe inside. A large portrait of the Declaration of Independence was shown in front of me. A statue of snoop dogg was inside and two chairs that should be in a hair saloon were in a small corner. An interesting decor that I would otherwise not be able to see in other places. The personality of the man was unique, he was friendly but comedic at times. The negative only included getting our own food at the counter and probably portion to price ratio was off. The price was 22$ and elsewhere Mediterranean food was cheaper but not a lot cheaper. The value was okay. The best part of my meal was the texture of the chicken kabob as it was dipped in a white garlic cheese sauce and a jalapeño green one. The baba ganoush was alright, the tzatziki was fresh tasting. The experience here was outstanding. The only other negative although it was not our concern, was an elderly woman came in and was crying, begging for money because she had a disease and couldn't afford to pay for the medication at a nearby Walgreens. It was scary, but she didn't interact with us, just the owner. It was about 3 minutes and she left with some change. The owner is nice, if he was the Egyptian man as he claimed. The service was good quality and the time to get our order was fairly decent although it could have been faster. It was about a 30 minute wait more or less. I would recommend this place over the house of kebab in terms of flavor, but the price over at house of Kebob has a better value price per quantity. The taste was better here in my opinion, but the Shawarma definitely wins at house of kebob. Overall solid 5/5 experience despite the minor negatives: old woman crying, walk up for food instead of served, price per quantity/value and unsafe environment. read more

This used to be my go to place for kebab in the antelope Valley however, they seem to have made some changes. I'm not sure if there's new ownership. The food is overall pretty good not as good as it used to be however portions seem to have changed. I got the chicken kebab plate and it came with six very small pieces of chicken about the size of a chicken nugget each they used to give a bunch more my wife had the beef kebab plate Which actually had a good amount of beef. Sorry I didn't get a picture. However, the beef was extremely chewy and dry. We did order medium well but it was definitely well done. I don't believe it's the same cut of beef as they used to use. The kebab plate definitely gives you enough food, but I would say it's light on protein and they do not give turnip and onion like they used to. read more

If you've always wanted to have dinner in a thrift store, this little cafe is for you. Service was excellent. They said the mozzarella sticks were cold in the middle because it's the only thing they don't make homemade, (and the replacement sticks were cooked right). We got the lamb kabob sandwiches (it's big, and looks just like a burrito), chicken noodle soup (made with orzo), mixed shawarma plate, and gyro plate. You get a decent amount of food for your money. The food was good (not amazing), the ambience is strange, and the service was very pleasant. It's not actually a thrift store as far as I know, but there is such a store two doors down to fulfill that need. read more

I got the babaganoush and tabbouleh salad asy sides and everything was amazing. They had actually run out of the babaganoush and made some fresh for me! Amazing! I decided to give this place a try today and I'm glad I did! I ordered the Mix Grill: Beef and Chicken. The plates come with rice, turnip and red onions, pita and two sides. For my sides I ordered Tabouli salad and hummus. Everything was well seasoned, tender and flavorful. Saw the reviews and wanted to try since i been disappointed a few times recently at Olives and A1 Kabob. I ordered the shawarma bowl (it was on special) and a mix shawarma wrap. The owner gave me the option for spicy or regular wrap and i opted for the former. It was amazing. I prefer the chicken over the steak as the steak meat had gristle and was chewy at times but the chicken was cooked perfect and flavor on both meats was amazing. I also would've preferred the wrap be in an actual pita and not a tortilla. I'm giving 5 stars for the flavor and customer service. Owner was nice. Definitely will try again. read more

Kings Kabob -- honestly EVERYTHING on the menu we tried was super delicious. We ordered chicken kabob, lofta lula, beef kabob, and beef schawerma. Each was superlatively spiced with exquisite flavor. Their Angel rice reminds me of my aunt's Lebanese fideo- yum. Their sides-- baba ganoush, hummus, yogurt cucumber sauce (cucumbers are crunchy FRESH), tabouli, are fresh and made just right. Their spicy potatoes are not hot spicy, but exceptionally flavorful. Their French fries are out of this world delicious (they shake some herbs and spices over them that really take them out of French fries category). But their "secret" sauce (not on the menu) GARLIC SAUCE (Lebanese Toum) had us moaning with delight (definitely belongs as an entry for August AV Garlic Festival). It was gone so fast that we had to order extra for our dine-in AND THEN order extra to take home. Ask for it- it is amazing. Nadir explained how it's made- simple but ya gotta time everything just right when emulsifying the ingredients- I'd rather come here to enjoy! We tried their baklava (walnut based) and basbousa. If you have never tried basbousa because you always try the baklava when you go to a middle eastern place, STOP, and be sure to order King's Kabob basbousa. They make their Egyptian semolina cake with yogurt, coconut, and almond so that it is not too sweet and now it's my new fave (like I need another favorite dessert). Pictured is their baklava and 1/2 serving of basbousa (couldn't wait to eat it before I could take photo). Nadir also helps out in the AV community - we were at King's Kabob when they donate food to feed the homeless who come to nearby VINEYARD's Sunday feed. Be sure to try King's Kabob -- everything on their menu is DELICIOUS. read more

The flavors of everything here are so much better than other kabob places I've been too. Even the grilled tomatoes had an extra good seasoning on them. Very talented chef. The family is Egyptian and they're very friendly. They said everything is fresh and you can tell. Tried this place for the first time yesterday. It was so good! The owner Nader is incredibly kind and super friendly. Excellent customer service! The food was really delicious. Loved all the sauces, especially the garlic and jalapeño. We ordered mixed meat plate, falafel and beef gyro. My gyro was filled to the max with fresh salad and the meat and a homemade tzatziki that was excellent. The pita bread on the gyro was so good that I wonder if it was homemade. My guy really liked his mixed meat plate, especially the chicken. My favorite however was their falafel. Extremely flavorful and so crispy. You can tell everything is homemade there. But, this place is hands down the BEST Mediterranean restaurant I have ever eaten at. Nader, the owner, his service was great. He's kind of old school, but was attentive the entire time. Came here for the first time for dinner. Received a very warm welcoming from the male and female staff. We ordered two combo plates one chicken & beef mix and a three item combo with chicken, beef and kofta lula. Sides chosen were hummus and yogurt cucumber for both plates. While we waited the gentleman who worked there gave us samples of all of the different sauces. Garlic, chipotle and my favorite was the jalapeño sauce. Took about 20min for our order but it was well worth the wait. Food was extremely flavorful. Two different types of chicken and two different types of rice were included. Can't wait to come back!
