Really not happy with my service here. Dropped my Ford Escape off (made an appointment) at 730am with a horrible squeaking noise while steering. I had to call them several times for an update, even though I made an appointment they didn't look at my car until late afternoon. First off, they wasted what little time they spent on the car doing recall work that I did not authorize, presumably so they could get paid, and then horribly misdiagnosed my problem as being bad strut bearings. After giving me a quote for $700, only $30 of which was in parts, I decided to get a second opinion from another garage. Turns out I had a bad control arm and ball joint. Even though Kings Ford told me it was not a safety issue, it definitely was. I had the second garage do the repair. In my opinion, Kings Ford does not put your safety or best interest first, they only care about getting paid. I can't imagine how upset I'd be if I paid them $700 and it didn't fix my problem. Please consider a different garage when looking for car repair professionals. read more

I was told that it had been in zero accidents, and I just found out yesterday that it had been in an accident in 2016. This review is strictly for their mechanic shop, not the sales team: Had my wife take our 2012 explorer to get an oil change, tire rotation & fluids topped off, I believe they label it "the works" but I could be wrong. She waited about an hour to an hour and a half (that's normal,so no complaints there). My intention for having this brought to Ford was because there was a rattling noise we can hear but no one can figure out exactly what it is, so, why not take it to a Ford dealership? The tech came out about halfway through to say they couldn't rotate the tires because the lug nuts had swollen (poor manufacturing) and they would need to be replaced and could do it for $120 which is completely laughable. I had another mechanic replace them for $20. The mechanic went on to say that there was a broken flex pipe and that's what was rattling, didn't provide a cost estimate. If he would have I might have told my wife to go ahead and have it fixed. When she went to leave she put it in drive and started to leave but heard a loud metal scraping sound. What was it? The mechanic forgot to reattach the splash guard completely so that was dragging against the ground. She brought it to their attention and they put it back on he lift and re-attached it. Then she leaves again and is driving for a minute or two and just happens to look out her rear-view or side-view mirror to see one of the hubcaps pop off and roll down the road. She had to pull over and go search for the hubcap that the mechanic couldn't properly attach. This was the first, and will be the only time that we take our fords there. I took the explorer to a mechanic friend with his own garage and he put it on the lift and checked the flex pipe, and what do you know, not broken. They tried to rip us off not only for the $120 lug-nuts but also a flex pipe. My wife did call after the hub cap came off and the person who answered apologized profusely but did not offer a refund or anything of the sort, even though they couldn't rotate my tires which is what 1/4 of the service request was. Moral of the story is, watch out for some dealerships that do maintenance because they'll try to rip you off if they can. According to our records, it appears you have approximately 8 payments remaining on your 2016 Ford Fusion and are paying approximately $218. Being able to acquire vehicles that we have either sold, serviced or both that we can add to our Pre-Owned inventory is the best possible scenario. In a search of our customer records I identified your car as a perfect match for us. As compensation to you, if we could upgrade you to a newer Ford Fusion keeping your payments about the same, would you consider letting us purchase your car? Decided to call to better understand what is really involved with this process, made an appointment and was blatantly told REPEATEDLY, in person, and several times over the phone, that all that was needed was driver's license, proof of insurance and my time, to come in, chose a new model fusion and extend lease with a monthly payment matching my current obligation. Where to start. Do not buy a car here they are less then honest!!!!! Tacked on all much to my contract and straight up lied. Got home started reading reviews and noticed many people complained about them putting old tires on their vehicles took mine into firestone just to check...low and behold they stuck a mother of 3 in a vehicle with cheap Walmart brand tires with 5/32 tread left. Sure it's legal. Safe and ethical NO. After a email to everyone including the owner they swapped them out. Fast forward a month later I'm driving on dead tags and the rude clerk Rhonda called me last Friday explaining they didn't charge for my registration smh what dealership doesn't do this? So I paid MORE MONEY. She said she would mail out my tags last Friday and nothing. Called her today and she rudely cut me off and said my down payment check never cleared and that's my problem.. && she's holding my tags WHAT?! My check cleared on 2/19 and isn't that her responsibility to know. Mind you she never mentioned this last week. So instead of being remorseful and checking on my check she tells me I'll release them when you screen shot your bank. Bought my 2017 Escape from Kings Ford. I had never been there before, but found they had the best selection of vehicles. Sales guy was new, but pretty friendly and knowledgeable. Service on the other hand seems to be a joke. I called to get an appointment for a recall (something to do with power windows?) and found I had to be transferred to another department. I called three different times and never reached anyone and never got a call back. For such a large dealership you'd think they'd have a better system in place. I only gave this dump one star because I had to rate it something. I did months of research on hybrid cars and narrowed it down to 3 that would work for me one being the Ford Focus Hybrid. I made a special trip on a day after a snowstorm and was greeted by a salesman who "knows nothing about those kind of cars" He tried to pass me off to another salesman who, in front of my friend and I said "I cant help them, I am busy" to which salesman #1 passed us off to a third man who was major attitude and VERY unwilling to help in anyway. Car Transmission repaired at another Ford Dealer 10 minutes away. I WAS NOT CHARGED FOR RENTAL CAR or repair as indicated by warranty. Simply take your Ford to any other dealer in the area. Its not worth the headache and Kings will charge you, contest your issues, then completely wash their hands of the situation. Been here three times and it is always a terrible experience. 1. Unfriendly staff rarely greets you upon arrival and leaves you standing, unwelcomed, until they can be bothered to take your money. We came in with two vehicles for oil changes and almost left when the man at the desk started complaining to us about how inconvenient it was for him to look up the company maintenance plan number (it did take a whole 45 seconds after all). 2. Twice I have been ignored at the entrance while men who arrive after me are helped first. Both times the other customers pointed out that I had arrived first and should be helped first. The staff did not apologize either time. 3. The final straw came when I made an appointment online (which was confirmed over email days in advance). I took off work in order to bring my vehicle in, and when I arrived, a staff member informs me that they don't have the appointment because their online system made a mistake. They would not do the repair as scheduled and asked me to come back another day. They said this happens all the time, shrugged, and said there was nothing that they could do. Bull. I purchased a used car on May 17 from King's Ford and I was totally suckered. Yes, it was "as-is" but the next day discovered that the AC did not work. It was a 2008 Nissan Rogue with only 107,000 miles. Then upon checking some vibration I was feeling, my mechanic told me it was the rear driveshaft (a $950 repair) and that "this car should never have been allowed to drive off the lot." I was informed by Travis Martin at King's Ford that they would do nothing about the situation, that when you purchase a vehicle "as-is", in his exact words, "you are basically buying the car for parts." I took my car in about a month ago because the check engine light was on. The only rental car available for them to offer me was a F150 ford truck which I mentioned I felt extremely uncomfortable driving but they said since i owned a ford I had to rent a ford and that was the only one available at the time. I was told upon dropping off on a Friday that my car would be ready for me to pick up that following Monday. I called Monday to confirm pick up and was told my car had not even been looked at yet by a mechanic but that it would definitely be ready by that Wednesday and that they would call me when it was ready. I never recieved a call so i called backThursday. When i called Thursday they told me they started working on the issue but it was not yet completed and that it would be ready Friday. I called back Friday and the person I spoke with told me my car had still not even been worked on once which meant I was LIED to on Wednesday!!! They told me my car would DEFINITELY be ready byMonday. At this point they had my car for a week. I called back Monday and again I was told it was not ready but would be ready wednesday. So Wednesday yet again i called. This time I was told by the service manager they had LOST MY CAR KEY. And have not had them since I initially dropped off my car but that they were hoping they would come across them and never did. They asked me to bring in a spare key. But once i mentioned I knew a manager at another ford dealer they somehow magically were able to cut a new key that day and have my car fully repaired and back to me in 24 hours. This dealership is nothing but unprofessional and full of deceitful employees. When I came in to pick up my car they acted as if they were doing me a favor by voiding the 300$ charge from my bill for the Replacement key!!!!! THAT THEY LOST! This dealership is located most conveniently to my job but i will NEVER EVER be back due to the 2 week time frame the allowed to let me wait for my car while driving around a gas hog f150 truck rental that I had to put 20 bucks of fuel a day in to just to commute to and from my job! HORRIBLE SERVICE not to mention every time I called and tried to get through to the service department to speak with someone it took 45 minutes on hold just for someone to answer the phone ! Horrible experience, still makes me sick to my stomach wouldn't recommend Ryan Davis. He is next to impossible to contact when needed, usually got sent to his voicemail right away. Not sure if he ever realized I was in a different time zone. Was very unprofessional as he told me on the phone "he didn't have to do anything for me," as I was very upset about the issues I've experienced and had nothing to offer no apology nothing. Took a full week to get back to me to tell me there wasn't nothing they could do to help me after sharing all the problems with this car. Also took this place two full weeks to mail me the title to my car after check cleared. Was told it was a used car and I had too high of expectations. I guess I should have purchased from one of those buy here pay here dealers and probably would have found a better vehicle and had better service. Several times when trying to reach him I was told it was a busy time, seemed to have an excuse for anything. Seemed like I was the one doing the work which should have told me something. I purchased a car June 8 and hired a transport company to deliver the car two weeks ago and several issues were found with car that were NEVER mentioned. Actually was told car was very clean and in really good shape. Also called several times to speak to sales manager but would be out to lunch or didn't get to talk to anyone due to must of been "busy." Customer service was very poor, just awful, I'm guessing they must treat locals better as I'm an out of state customer should of been a red flag. One star seems like it's giving them too much credit from my experience. Anyways this place sold me a vehicle with NO working brake lights, NO working turn signals, also with a tire that wouldn't of made it 100 miles due to its condition which the drive was 750 miles with no working lights. In fact, the tire was was so bad they had to replace one of the four tires but didn't replace the other front (same shape apparently) not sure who replaces tires one at a time. Of course I drove it not realizing it when I got it delivered and I had a blow out thanks ALOT! This place obviously doesn't have any ethics and must not have service check list which I asked for and didnt get anything but paper saying they replaced one tire. Must not look at cars before putting them on the lot they won't stand and back the cars they offer for sell. I feel like if they can't stand behind a car on their lot the. They should send it to the auto auction pretty simple. I know I purchased a used vehicle but wasn't aware I had purchased a wrecked vehicle and unsafe car to drive. Ryan told me lots of people were calling about the car when I first contacted about it which I'm assuming was a pressure tactic. One of many lies I was told. Also was told this car was ran through their service department which it never was because several issues would have been found like oil leak which was oil pan gasket was rotted, air filter was black and dirty and also rotten several years old never touch ( had a whole side missing from it due to rot), power steering leak, two softball size dents in right front fender which doesn't allow for the passenger door to open all the way without damaging the fender worst, a/c only worked on speeds 4 & 5, broken engine mount on the bottom, and extremely worn serpentine belt. Also was told this car had its oil changed but I know it wasn't, because this car has a oil life percent display on the dash and when I got the car delivered it showed 63% which odometer had about 55 more miles on it than the paper work stated but no way the car could of been serviced and used almost 40% of the oil life. Another lie imagine that. Ryan did tell me he's not a mechanic he just sells cars. I guess at least he was true full about something! Never get my business again!!!! read more

This wasn't just the worst car buying experience I've ever had, it was also the worst Customer Service experience in my life. My husband and I are new parents and went to buy a safe vehicle for our family. We had been searching for weeks to find the right vehicle. We were paying cash so we wanted to be sure we made the right choice for the $19,000 we were dishing out. We went to Kings because they appeared to have a Ford Escape that might fit our needs. We met with Erik (who was very nice) and he took us on a test drive. I was apprehensive because the car was a 2017 with almost 70,000 miles on it. I was assured it was Certified and a solid vehicle. Then we saw the Carfax that stated it had been in an accident. That made me more nervous but Erik took my husband to relook at it and then assured us it was again, a good vehicle. I was still unsure so Erik brought in the Sales Manager, Travis. Travis (being the VERY sales-y salesman he is assured us (mentioning the 172 point inspection it supposedly passed) and said he would give us $1000 off AND fix the chipped paint on the hood, which they never did. This should have thrown up a red flag that something wasn't right with the car that they were willing to so quickly take the price down. 2 days after we get the car home the check engine light came on. After reading the manual, doing research and having no luck, we called King's service department. They were unable to get us in for over 3 weeks. During that time I only drove it very short distances so I didn't end up stranded, until I almost did. I went out to an appointment and a couple miles from home a light came on saying "engine too hot, stop safely". I pulled over and called my husband who was at work. He called King's service again and they said just to put coolant in it and drive it down to them. The car completely died on the way to AutoZone and my husband had to walk there. The coolant did nothing. We were able to get it started and one block down to a parking lot before it died again. They had to send a tow truck to come get it. A week later still no call from them to tell us what is wrong. They also didn't offer us a rental car. So being a stay at home mom I have had no form of transportation unless my mom drives to let me borrow her car so I can get groceries. We have BEGGED for our money back and TRAVIS who is supposed to be the Sales Manager was so rude to me on the phone telling me there was no way he would take it for anywhere near what we paid. That same day, a lady from Kings called, telling me to come down today and they will buy the car back and give us a good deal on another. They told us to meet with Mike, since I had a bad experience with Travis. We went there today and? No Mike to be found. Travis was the only one who talked to us and said all he would do would be buy it back for $13,000!! We paid over $17,000 for the car plus almost $2,000 in tax and title fee's. So over $6,000 less after we have had nothing but a horrible experience. Also, service told us today, a week after it was towed to them, that they still have no idea what the issue is. We were finally given a rental car (after WE asked, they didn't offer). We were told to speak with Doug Fuller (who we are told is Travis's boss) on Monday. If he is unable to help us, we are going to have to get our lawyer involved. We hope Doug can make things right so we don't have to take that route. Being new parents we can't afford to lose $6,000. Hopefully I will be editing this review soon with good news. For now, zero stars. Also...for the record we never got floor mats in the vehicle, nor did they change the oil when they were preparing it for us like they promised they would read more

I had a great sales experience buying a certified used fusion! That was the only good experience. Two days after buying my car I realized a piece of the bumper was loose. Turns out, they missed that part in the inspection. So they take it in to fix it. After waiting for an hour and a half I was informed that they would have to order a new part. They order it. 2 weeks later it comes it. I was told I could stop in anytime and they would snap it on in 10 minutes. I took it in before work and it took 90 minutes. I didn't have time to check it so I drove it to work. I checked it when I got there to notice the piece was STILL out of place. I took it back and made them give me a rental. 3 days, and a trip to the body shop later they give it back and the piece still isn't correctly in place and my car was covered in dirt, dust and hand prints. I have had no response since then from anyone in maintenance or John Lipps who was in charge of taking care of me. He has failed to return my calls and has ignored my emails. I would recommend the sales team but I would never actually buy another ford from here as the service side is the worst I have ever dealt with. read more

I am very disappointed with what happened when I took my car to King's Ford. I got a coupon in the mail to get "the works" which includes various services. I mainly went for the tire rotation and oil change. I had an appointment and when I scheduled it they said it would take a little over an hour. When I got there they said they were running behind, which is not the issue.. When it was finally done after an hour and half ( like I said not the biggest deal) I was leaving but had notice... they didn't do anything to my tires... I went inside he apologize that it must have been missed we'll work on it asap.. I wanted to ask what else was missed?? another 30 minutes later... the car was finally done after 2 hours. I went to Ford thinking there would be superior service.... I typically go to the 20 minute oil change places where they 1. let you stay in the car/only take 20 minutes and 2. walk you through everything they are doing to ensure to you nothing is missed. Terrible service department! I had my company car in for warranty service related to the air bag sensor. It took 2 weeks to get my car back. When I finally got it back it was dirty from bird droppings and also dirty inside where stuff had been placed on the dash. It also had a dent and long scratch on the passenger side door. I'm thinking about buying a Ford in the next year but will NOT buy it From Kings Ford. I won't go there again for service either. They "offered" to let me rent a car at a good rate while the warranty work was being done. Eventually they gave me a tiny rental loaner without too much more trouble. The men that work in Service are less than enthusiastic to help the customer. They make you feel like they're doing you a favor. You can tell because that's the 1 or 2 times they will look at you. The first time the sales person wasn't interested in helping me he didn't want anything to do with me when I told him I was looking and wasn't going to buy. He didn't even try to talk to me about what my needs are and all just simply his body language was that he didn't want to be there and to help. A couple of years later I go again. I parked out in front walked to the F-150 section spent maybe 15-20 minutes looking at F-150s. It started to rain so I walked back to my truck. No one came out to say hi or anything nothing. I guess when it rains they don't want to get their suits and nice cloths wet for the customers. I'm going to a different Ford and maybe they treat their customers better. I went to Kings Ford on July 1st to look at a 2013 Dodge Dart Rallye. It was listed as having 64,500 miles and the online price was $10,775. I took this car to my mechanic to see if there were any issues with it. I don't know why the mechanic at Kings Ford didn't address these problems. None of the tires matched, one was new and another had a bulge, the break pads and rotors needed to be replaced as well as a wheel bearing. the actual miles on the vehicle was about 66,600 miles. My mechanic estimated that the cost to fix everything would be just over $1,600. I took this information back to the dealership. Johnathan Charles kept repeating that these were all "wear items". Just about everything in a car is a wear item. I told him that I understood that these things would eventually need replacing after some time for any car but this one needed all of these now just so that it is safe on the road. Johnathan finally went to talk about getting a better price on the car and was gone less than five minutes. He offered to drop the price by $100 and not fix a single thing. I just got up and left. That was the most insulting thing I have ever had to experience. I will never return to this establishment. They think they can treat customers like they are idiots by repeating the same key words to try and get out of repairing a car they have for sale. I purchased a used car from the dealership. Two years later my vehicle was totaled. I purchased gap insurance through Kings Ford. No one ever returned my phone calls or emails on utilizing my gap insurance in order to pay off the remaining loan amount that wasn't covered by progressive. Robin at Kings Ford was very rude and told me that the gap company paid off my car loan not the dealership, which was untrue. Kings Ford didn't know what they were doing. Not once did they contact me regarding my gap insurance or ask if I would like to purchase a new vehicle from them. The gap insurance company and Chase Finance, were very nice and helped me through a difficult time. Ultimately Kings Ford sent the final payoff to my loan company, Chase. I would never purchase another vehicle at Kings Ford and tell everyone I know to never go there. read more

Before Kings Ford, I went to numerous dealerships; some awful experiences and some that were ok, but nothing measures up to Kings Ford! Jim Cobb made our car buying experience FANTASTIC and ENJOYABLE! I love to shop but car shopping is not my thing! Jim explained everything from Pre-owned to Brand new, leasing to buying, warranties, and answered all of our questions! We explained to him our options and he helped us decide. He wasn't "pushy" like other car salesman and he didn't try to push me into just any car to "make a sale." Not a good experience. Met with a sales guy there. Asked for a quote on a 2016 F150. It took more than 30 minutes of me sitting there, and he finally came back with a sheet of numbers that didn't even add up! I left annoyed. I got a call from the customer service manager a few days later. Told her about the bad experience and she promised to have a new rep call with a correct quote within a few days. They never got back to me either. What a joke. I called the Ford dealer in Milford, and bought my F150 for $10K less than Kings Ford and had a great experience! Will never go to Kings Ford again. Kudos to Ed Mangus and his service department! Our Lincoln MKX broke down on 71S north of Cincinnati. We were traveling home to Minnesota from NC. Of course it was Sat. night of Labor Day weekend :( We had the car towed to Kings Ford and went to a Motel to spend an anxious couple of days. Tues AM we were at the service department right after they opened. They were, of course, very busy after a long weekend. At first, they told us it would be late afternoon or even Wed. AM before they could look at it. After explaining we were from out of town, etc., he said they would try to get to it sooner. Well, we were surprised and thrilled to get a call at 10:30 that the car was fixed and ready to go!!! They found a loose electrical connection. We were also amazed at the bill. Being from out of state you never know what might get charged but the bill was labor only and under $200. Thanks again, Ed, for getting us back on the road so quickly! read more

Do not buy from them unless you're desperate. I was searching for a great deal on a Nissan Armada. I knew it was as is but was told it passed inspection except needing new rotors which we were already aware of. Well, that was a lie. Luckily I purchased an extended warranty but since I didn't get it from Kong's Ford stealership there's a 30 day waiting period. My husband had to fix a few things in the first 2 weeks we've owned it. Furthermore, they were too lazy to even clean it. I had to go to a staff meeting right after purchasing then return to have it cleaned. Travis the manager is extremely shady. I wouldn't trust a word he says. He looked me right in the eye and claimed they'd had the vehicle for about a months even though carfax reported them sitting on it 4 months. I knew the answer to the question before I even asked. I just wanted to see if he was honest. Like I said, my husband is handy, the vehicle was good price, and we got an excellent warranty that is highly rated with BBB so we knew we were gambling when buying from them. If you're not able to take a risk DO NOT BUY FROM KINGS FORD! Go elsewhere!!!! read more
