Late FEE ... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!!!!!

Refinanced my Union Savings Bank (8534 E Kemper Rd, Cincinnati, OH) 15 year loan, with another Union Savings Bank 15 year loan and they charged us a LATE FEE of $144.05 even though the original loan was closed (paid in full) on/before the late date. We paid Union Savings Bank a lot in fees to refinance to a second loan. Tried to call to resolve (800-582-9702) but they continued to place me on hold until the point I was hung up on. Meanwhile, all the other accounts we have with other bands (5/3rd, US Bank) are waiving all late feels due to COVID-19. And, we've NEVER paid Union Savings Bank obligations late, ever. Extremely disappointed and upset with this bank.

In May of 2018, Mr. John Weldy, the Vice President of Sales at Union Savings Bank located at 5881 E 82nd St, Indianapolis, IN 46250 helped me to get through the loan process. As you can see from the attached emails from that time period, Mr. Weldy did not mind me calling him late or emailing him late. In fact, he even told me "God bless." Now fast forward to Sunday night 03/05/2019 at 9:00 P.M. I decided to call Mr. Weldy to follow up with him about a document that I thought existed and that I thought I was missing. To be honest, I was not expecting Mr. Weldy to answer his cellphone. When I made the call out to Mr. Weldy, I intended in no way to disrupt the routine of his evening. As a matter of fact, I thought I was going to get his voicemail, so that I could leave a message for him to call me back the next day. To my surprise, Mr. Weldy answered the phone. At the end of the conversation, Mr. Weldy became defensive and upset and raised his tone/voice at me. He stated, "You are fucking sick." Right after he finished uttering those words, he immediately hanged up on me. To say the least, I was shocked and stunned. The very man who told me "God bless" told me "I was fucking sick." After realizing the form that I thought existed did not exist, I immediately called Mr. Weldy the next morning before 8:00 A.M. and apologized to him for that. He accepted the apology. A little while later, Mr. Weldy called back and left me a voicemail advising me to retract the complaint that I had filed with the Better Business Bureau. I called him and told him that I would not do that; I emailed him advising the same. Mr. Weldy then emailed me and told me that I was the one who made the mistake. Also, he said that I called him at 9:00 P.M. resulting in the interruption of his "prayer time." He then stated that he would pray for me tonight. To say the least, the actions of Mr. Weldy against myself have been unprofessional, deplorable, and rude. If you want this type of service, then go to Union Savings Bank. But if you wish to be treated like a human being; then AVOID Union Savings Bank like you would avoid cancer.

As I sit here now with a lock on my card for no apparent reason, I am being told that they have two other partners, one being Pfizer. Each partner has the authority to lock or unlock your card. This is day two of my card being locked! No food, no gas for my car, and I'm being told that I may even have to wait yet another day because a request has to be made for the other partners to release my funds. I was not introduced to any so-called partners when I opened this account; I have no idea who they are or why they would have a say on my funds! And sadly, none of the representatives seem to have enough knowledge to even explain why my card was locked in the first place. What made me even more upset is after I called and verified that the purchases were not fraudulent, I was told my card was back active! So I tried to make a purchase, but the card still didn't work, so I tried a few more times and then decided to call back to let them know it still wasn't working. The representative then tells me, oh well, because you tried to swipe the card a few times, it's now blocked until midnight. At this point, I'm furious. I then asked for a supervisor who turned out to be even worse than the first guy at explaining what was happening! No one could help me or fix the situation. I was told to wait until Monday to call the actual bank... once again no food, no gas to get home on my end. I understand the protection, but what I will never be able to understand is why, when I verified purchases, my account still stayed locked and is still locked now. I was also told I can't remove the protection! What was even more bizarre was they allowed a cash app transaction to go through while my card was locked! How is this protection?? This bank left me without any valid excuses; they just fed me nonsense to get me off the phone. Thank goodness I was not out of town, stranded. I was with Cinco Credit Union for almost 20 years before Superior came along and changed the name. I don't trust this company any longer; their representatives don't seem to know how to help and also suffer from a lack of proper knowledge. It's like handing your money over to someone unable to communicate. I'm switching to PNC. Pathetic!

I was a manager in the check cashing industry for 3 years and ran a car lot also . Never heard back from Superior and I am taking my business elsewhere. I would think that they would at least give me a courtesy call , but no. When I ran a car lot , I threw AJ business at Superior, so they made money off my customers . Carrie , who is the head of HR never returned any phone calls . The whole company is crap and hopefully they are acquired by a real company . I am totally sick of their lies and deceit . I don't blame AJ , but god forbid you need an answer for anything , good luck. I feel like taking a trek up to Lima to see Carrie face to face . I am letting my friends , neighbors, and co- workers know about this horrible experience .If I could give Carrie a zero or negative rating that would be more on point . A family member had a large business that was sold in the 80's for hundreds of millions, so you would be kissing his ass for business Carrie .That seems like the self serving person that you are .

I shouldn't have to call 9 times and give you 8 different numbers to verify a check after you tell me you can call the bar I work at to verify it, only for you to close my account, basically call me a fraud and thief and then proceed to cash the check anyway and deny me the right to my money and nearly have me out 524.91 because of your shitty security features that hinder the experience for your newcomers. I had my account for 1 1/2 weeks and you guys treated me like shit the moment I called to try and rectify the situation and after I thought it was rectified, you tell me that what I was told was not the truth and that I still need to verify something you had already authorized for payment and then you proceeded to tell me you sent the check only for me to wait and push my bills back yet an additional week, for there to be no check ever being sent because you never had intentions on sending it. I'm so pissed off that I could throw my entire body through your main office. I understand physical and operational security but this is too fucking much. Thanks for reporting this to the credit bureaus which should be defamation of character. Oh, and now I have to wait ANOTHER 12-14 days! Thanks, I feel like I'm chasing a fucking miracle if my money were to ever show up instead of utilizing what I thought was one of the coolest banks to exist. Never again.

Don't know what I was thinking...the only credit card I had was a BP card & they wouldn't give cash back on a purchase. Long story not so short...pulled into my bank's branch and explained the situation. The Customer Service Rep politely asked how much cash I needed (only $20) and said he could look up my acct. by other means and help me. With my ss# and signature, I got my cash and went back to pick up my dinner items. Don't know why there are so many negative comments that float around about Fifth Third. I've never received anything but outstanding, pleasant service at each branch I've visited!

This branch specifically always goes above and beyond to ensure I get what I need. I am a student…read morestill and when I still had automatic payments come out of my account it would occasionally overdraft , well without a student account you would a acquire a fee for this. The banker I constantly work with , Todd , went above and beyond to fix this for me and ensure it wouldn't happen again. The times my card had fraudulent charges I called Todd, he fixed it right away! Went out of the country, called Todd , he put alerts on my card right away. Lost a few cards to stolen wallets, Todd had a new card in my hand in less than a week. We're on a first name basis now with how often I have questions about the way an account, a card or a service works. Truly amazing tellers here , always willing to put in the work to get to your desired outcome !
