A nice place for a mid-afternoon snack and drink around 3:30 pm, there were plenty of seats and our server was terrific. Great music and a relaxing meal. 3 of us shared the tonno salad ($21) and quattro formaggi pizza ($28). The salad was very good and the almonds added a nice crunch. The pizza was definitely enough for 3. It was really salty. Now we love cheese but with this combo, you could only really taste salt and what tasted and smelled like provolone. No seasonal greens on it. Good drinks: 1 beer, and housemade limeade and lemonade. Lunch for 3 all in = $95. Ooomph, pretty pricey for 1 pizza, 1 salad, 1 beer, and 2 non-alcoholic drinks.

Pizza is adequate but overpriced…read more My problem with them is with their check calculations. We had a party of five and the check arbitrarily added 20% for 'Large Party Gratuity". Then, after giving my credit card, the final bill for signature had an added a 3% credit card surcharge. And, on top of that sales tax added onto the whole total (meal, large party gratuity & credit car surcharge). AND, there was a line to add and additional tip. Total bill was 35% more than the cost of the meal. I probably would have given a 20% tip, but resent the fact that they arbitrarily added the large party gratuity. I don't recall anything on the menu that gave a forewarning of the large party tip adder nor the 3% credit card surcharge. I think this should be more prominent on their menu. Also, charging sales tax on the gratuity and credit card surcharge is highly unusual.

Ambiance in here was quiet, dimmed lights, not too bright and very clean. Matt assisted me that day and was extremely informative overall. He is very patient and kept up with my conversation. You can tell Matt is passionate about the wines this place carries. He was very confident about each wine as he would introduce each pour (I did a wine tasting, including five different wines) I prefer red wine over white and usually more on the sweet side; to be exact- I do love Lambrusco wine. However, all the red wines that I tasted here were very delightful and worth it. Started off with a favorite "Sangiovese" from Walla Walla and Red Mountain 15% alcohol, smooth not too bitter for my likings and is one of the top choices. 5/5 Up next was "Redtail" A Right bank inspired blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Perfect for everyday sipping! Blend: 25% Merlot 61% Cabernet Sauvignon 14% Cabernet Franc) 15.3% alcohol This one would pair well with a nice steak to enjoy. 5/5 Continued with a glass pour of "Condor" Left Bank Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot Alcohol: 14.9% Another delicious red wine that pairs well with steak, grilled meat, BBQ due to the tannins in the red wine this tends to enhance the red meat well. 5/5 "Reserve Merlot" 100% Merlot 14.8% alcohol another delicious red wine pour. This wine is best enjoyed with pasta, seafood and poultry dishes. Very good and smooth as well. 5/5 "Petite Sirah" on the dry side, which Matt stated people aren't usually a fan of but for me, I am not a picky individual and I thought it was delightful for my likings. "Fruit from Kiona vineyard in red mountain" 100% Petite Sirah Thank you for the nice hospitality during my visit, it was worth it and for future reference, I will return here for my wine adventures next time.

I decided to rent out the restaurant for a private event earlier this year and it was incredible. The food was, as always, incredible. The service was, as always, also incredible. These are things that I think I have come to appreciate and probably expect at Upwell. On top of this; however, the menu planning was both super fun and effective. Chris helped us curate the perfect wines for the evening, Mandy gave us multiple options for food and create the opportunity for us to brainstorm on a few extra fun appetizers. The evening was a huge success overall and left an incredible impression on our guests. The restaurant space itself was ultimately magical and created the perfect recipe for conversations among the group. So fun. Thank you Upwell team.

The place is definitely a little tricky to find, and the door itself isn't quite as pink as you might expect! But once we found it, we were lucky enough to get a table for two on a Saturday without much trouble. We each had a drink, and I ordered the linguine alle vongole. It had a generous amount of clams and was really delicious. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was even better. I'm sure this place gets especially fun in the evenings when they have live music and entertainment, although I imagine getting a table is considerably more difficult then. Honestly, I'm glad we experienced it for lunch because it was a great way to spend some time before heading to the airport. Overall, really glad we stopped in. Great food, great service, and a really cool atmosphere. We definitely lucked out getting a table, and I'd happily come back the next time I'm in Seattle. Five stars!

The cake was kinda hard so not the biggest fan, it did taste good but it didn't seem as fresh as it could've been and it didn't really taste like basil.

Expired hot sauce three times now!…read more I was here a few months back and their hot sauce bottle had green clumps in it... they gave me a new bottle which was nice, but I came back today and once again, they had green clumps in their franks red hot... I asked the waiter for a replacement and he brought me ANOTHER bottle that was mostly full, however it had the green clumps in it too! Its best by date was back in July... Im not sure how theyre storing these things but ive been using franks red hot for years and never see green clumps in it. On top of all that, the waiter brings me his ipad for me to pay, and after I pay he sets the ipad down right in front of me with the minimum tip being 20%... I felt kind of uncomfortable knowing he is staring behind me, I changed the tip to 10% and said thanks and he walked away without even responding. Holy water please take a look at your hot sauce and change the minimum tip to something lower, you shouldn't participate in the toxic tipping culture that puts the onus on your patrons to pay your workers 20 percent as a minimum.
