I brought daughter and 4 nieces, all girls ranged in age. This was all of my nieces first experience with boba. I told them I love King Tea but you have to order the right thing. I always get mango milk cap with passion fruit or mango popping boba, this day I got the mango milk tea with the passion fruit popping boba, it was great too! A couple of my nieces got the non popping boba and was not impressed by the chewy boba, they enjoyed it the drink though. I think it just surprised them because the rest of us had the popping boba. I will say they all got a donut or a pack of gummy's and we all had drinks and it was not as expensive as I was expecting. A bunch of toppings if you're one to explore, and in true milk tea fashion, you are able to customize your sweetness and ice levels to your liking. The service is always sweet and quick. I believe the family that owns the place usually runs the service, and every time we've been there to order 4-5 drinks, and it's been great every time. I'd say it'd be a cute place to study and hang out at. There are some outlets towards the back, a couple of tables that seat 3 within the same area as well. King Tea in Pooler is a wonderful surprise! I am happy to have a bubble tea place that is not downtown finally. Thank you King Tea! It is located on Tanger Outlets Blvd. But it is on the opposite side of the road to the outlets. It is in a small shopping center. You can see their sign from the road. It was easy for me to find. There is plenty of parking all around. King Tea is brand new, so it is sparkly and clean inside. The interior is filled with greens and whites. You are greeted with a long white counter. There is a digital menu above your head. But they also have small and large hand held paper menus for convenience. There is seating inside as well. It is bar against the wall with bar stools. The menu is has many options. It can feel a little overwhelming. But they have broken into easy steps for customers to help. You can also get a small sample of fruit jelly, bubbles, and flavored bubbles. I thought this was really great! That way you really would make sure you love the drink you receive. The staff member who helped me was patient and kind. She answered all of my questions. I went back and forth a lot because I could not make up my mind with all of the options. She was incredibly helpful. And she made a suggestion or two which ended up making my drink better once I explained to her my preferences. I ordered Step 1- King Milk Green Tea, Step 2- regular bubbles Step 3- 50 percent sweet, and Step 4- less ice. I love the fact that they will adjust the sweetness levels! I'm not a fan of tons of sugar in my drinks. So 50 or 30 percent is generally perfect for me. The fact that they actually have that as a written option was fantastic. Let's talk about ice. Because I do not not like receiving drinks with tons of ice and hardly any liquid. I also enjoyed that they have an option for less ice. My sister and I came here after a grocery shopping trip. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. The drink that I got was the Mango Milk Cap drink with Bubbles (Tapioca Pearls). While I thought that the drink itself was good and refreshing, the Bubbles tasted like chemicals and left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. I am someone that likes tea, milk tea, boba (etc.) drinks because of the addition of the tapioca pearls. I will admit that I have eaten tapioca pearls by the spoonful before. So, the tapioca pearls is an essential part of the drink for me. So, I am originally from New York City and I have lived in other places with tons of boba options on the west coast and King tea for me beats 90% of those places in terms of tea quality. I got the taro milk tea and they did a fantastic job with the brew and blend method. The flavor of the tea is strong and bold with the perfect ratio of tea to milk to taro, however the boba is definitely undercooked. I will likely get crystal boba the next time to avoid that issue. It doesn't take away from the well balanced beverage. The business aesthetic tries to be closer to the west coast boba shop which I appreciate immensely. I also appreciate their paper cups because I'm all for the biodegradable materials. I love the white countertops which are perfect for studying and playing board games. I bought a tea here a couple mos ago. An Oreo, coffee or something like that. I'm an UBER driver and the area was surging so I did not drink it, or pop the lid right away. I went to take a few rides while it was surging then opened my tea. To my surprise it was disgusting. I got the regular bubbles at the bottom, but it was disgusting. Very distinctive taste. It was so bad I tore the entire lid off and tried to take the bubbles out with a spoon and fork. It was that bad. When I took it back (@30mins or so). They were looking at the drink like it wasn't theirs. They were asking me questions, like where did you get it, when did you buy it. (Mins you it had THEIR label on it lol). They only took the drink back and started making me another one, after I started taking pictures of it lol. RIDICULOUS !!! For starters their drinks are more expensive than Starbucks. Completely over priced. If I'm paying 10/11$ for a 6/7$ drink, the LEAST....they can do is fixed my drink They are NOT the only bubba tea in town.....am I done with them...mmmm...eventually I'll give them a chance to redeem themselves.
