The acai tasted different than Knoxville which is why I deducted a star. It was just okay, maybe more like a smoothie because it was more melted? I'm not sure what was different, but we have tried all the acai bowls and it was not the same as home. The service is fantastic, the guys at the counter were helpful and kind. I just wish our bowls were the same consistency everywhere.

I use the term "intimate" mainly because after we started sipping our smoothies, we glanced behind the counter and saw the gentleman that had just finished serving us, with his hand down his pants holding tight to his valuables... ... This went on for at least 5 min as he leaned over the counter, scrolling on his phone with his other hand... (see picture below) This took my banana, and berries, protein, smoothie to the next level... mmmm.. DELICIOUS! Well... It wasn't that bad... other than the overpowering burnt toast smell inside the café and the girl who was literally eating a bowl of chicken while she took our order... (food coming out of her mouth...) it was an awesome experience! It goes to show that sometimes these chain restaurants are missing some management and training. BEWARE OF THIS ONE.... To make matters worse, two of the orders were wrong. The pancakes came out with no syrup, and our server was basically nonexistent, only showing up twice in an hour, so we had to get up and get it ourselves. The poached eggs on the fourth meal were severely undercooked and practically raw. What made the experience even worse was having two young children with us who were completely melting down by the end because everything took so long. A restaurant should know better than to leave families sitting that long with no urgency, no communication, and no follow-up. What should have been a simple breakfast turned into a two-hour waste of time with bad service, poorly prepared food, and zero attention to detail. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence. I would absolutely not recommend this place.
