I'm not sure what was different, but we have tried all the acai bowls and it was not the same as home. The service is fantastic, the guys at the counter were helpful and kind. I just wish our bowls were the same consistency everywhere.

I use the term "intimate" mainly because after we started sipping our smoothies, we glanced behind the counter and saw the gentleman that had just finished serving us, with his hand down his pants holding tight to his valuables... ... This went on for at least 5 min as he leaned over the counter, scrolling on his phone with his other hand... (see picture below) This took my banana, and berries, protein, smoothie to the next level... mmmm.. DELICIOUS! Well... It wasn't that bad... other than the overpowering burnt toast smell inside the café and the girl who was literally eating a bowl of chicken while she took our order... (food coming out of her mouth...) it was an awesome experience! It goes to show that sometimes these chain restaurants are missing some management and training. BEWARE OF THIS ONE.... This location is a block away from the heart of Coligny. Every morning after our beach walk, we'd head her for a coffee. We got there early enough where there was never really a line. We wound up always ordering an iced sand dollar latte with almond milk and light whip. I'd also order a hot sand dollar for my husband. The staff was pretty friendly. I will say, when there was a line, one barista didn't seem like nearly enough. The line would get pretty long and took longer to get your coffee. I love the Sand Dollar latte. I tried the Sand Dollar latte, it was so good. 10/10. We were seated quickly, and they have a nice indoor dining area, and a lovely outside patio. Figuring we'd give the food a chance on the 2nd day we sat down to find the waitress wasn't in the right line of business either. We decided to stay anyway only to find the food was subpar. When we mentioned one of our meals wasn't really edible the waitress was dismissive and argued with us, albeit gently, but enough pushback to make things uncomfortable.
