The green sauce is my go to but if you prefer a kick opt for red. The pineapple juice is a nice add on but you can definitely skip this if you are on a cut. You order at the cash register and then the person preparing your food calls out your number in Spanish. They will ask you what sauce you want there. Don't come here hungry lol cause there is a long wait line to order & a long wait line to receive your food/ order but I think everyone knows that if you've been to a king taco in your life haha The food is good, there are a few things they could fix, the sope taco shells are a bit to hard, so I'm not sure if they are leaving them on the grill to long or not cooking them long enough. They need to be more soft so you can bite through them easily! Also the cashier lady who took our order Sunday was literally half listening, she was looking around like we were placing our order & of course something was wrong when we had already gotten home. Had the Asada burrito and it lacked flavor in the rice. The meat made up for it. To be fair, it usually isn't like that, but today it was a little lacking! The spot is spacious and it's busy, but the area has too many sketchy people around. I have no issues with homeless people, but there was a homeless man in line that smelled terrible. I was impressed with this family-friendly store. I first went here on a recommendation of their tamales and their weekend rotisserie chicken special. The latter was a surprise. The chicken was flavorful and juicy... rivaling Juan Pollo! I thought it was a fluke .. it was not. Going forward, their chicken rotisserie meal will be a staple for our family on weekends. On a Friday at 7 pm, an in-store order took about 20 minutes to complete. Yes, all the tables were taken but there was a seated waiting area for to-go orders that never was crowded. Yes, 1 taco and a side because their tacos are mid, the green and red sauce is why I'm here. Ordered uber eats, got 2 asada nachos double meat. Ordered cabbage on the side and the pickled jalapeno/carrot/onion/cauliflower on the side. Gave this place out a try as I am a regular to the Baldwin Park and the El Monte King Taco locations for decades. This place gives a lot of meat for the tacos and the green sauce. Staff clean the restaurant and tables regularly and they have more counters to serve people vs the smaller El Monte locations. My pick is the suadero burritos and soft tacos. And they always give a lot of white onions and cilantros to garnish with them! read more

Went here for late night dinner expecting a fast experience that is in line with other King Tacos that we frequent. However, that was not the case coming in at 10pm on a Wednesday night. There was a line with about 5 parties ahead of ours, but the process to order was extremely slow. Waited in line almost 15 mins just to order. Sat down and thought we'd be called within 10 mins or so, but it was more like 30+ mins, and we could hear all the other people waiting complaining. The table next to ours was waiting and saying, "I just ordered tacos!" They had been waiting 40 mins they said. Not sure if this is how it always is, because we counted 6 people back there cooking, seemed like the normal you'd see cooking at a King Tacos. When they finally called our order, we went up to the counter and our food wasn't even ready yet! They asked what we ordered and started making it! Such a crazy one off experience. I had a horrible experience with King Taco through Uber Eats. I ordered two sopes with NO CHEESE, and the receipt clearly states NO CHEESE in all caps, yet they still added cheese anyway. When I called to address the issue, the manager Christina answered and immediately seemed irritated. Instead of taking responsibility, she kept hinting that it was Uber's fault--even though, again, the receipt from their kitchen clearly said no cheese. When I asked what could be done, she said they could remake the order only if I picked it up myself, and offered to throw in nachos for the inconvenience. Literally two seconds later, she took that back, abruptly said "bye," and hung up on me. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability, poor attitude, and hanging up on a customer is completely unacceptable. I ordered King Taco through Uber Eats and had an awful experience from start to finish. My order was wrong, the food I did get was extremely greasy, and when I called the restaurant to fix the issue, the customer service was unbelievable in the worst way. Instead of offering a refund or any reasonable solution, they told me I had to come in person. I explained that the whole reason I ordered online was because I couldn't go in. I even offered to provide photos of the incorrect, greasy order along with my receipt. But instead of helping, they insisted I bring the food back myself. When I told them the earliest I could get there was Monday (today is Friday), they told me to keep the burrito in the fridge and bring it in on Monday. Seriously? That's their idea of customer service? It was ridiculous, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. I've never experienced a restaurant refusing to resolve an issue unless a customer physically returns days-old food. I will not be ordering from King Taco again, and I'm definitely warning others about how poorly they handle their mistakes. read more

Went to the King Taco in Ontario tonight for the second time, and once again it did not disappoint. The food was really good, flavorful, and tasted just like the King Taco I grew up with. The cashier was friendly, patient, and went over my order thoroughly -- something I really appreciate. A special shout‑out to Hector Lopez, who prepared our food. He was awesome: very friendly, fast, and clearly takes pride in what he does. Our order came out quickly and perfectly. I've been eating King Taco since the original 3rd Street location, back when they were serving tacos and burritos out of the truck on 3rd and Downey Road. I spent many years eating there, and it's great to see that same quality and spirit still alive at this location. Consistently the worst king taco in business to date. Every visit there is a hassle, with lines moving slow, service being just as bad, and portion sizes that would rival Chipotle. I can count on one hand the amount of times they've gotten my order right, and I don't use more than 3 fingers. I get you have a lot of business and things are busy, but it doesn't take much to throw meat in a tortilla and wrap it in foil. This review is based solely on the lack of urgency and empathy shown toward paying customers. The wait times are unacceptable--having only one cash register open while 10-15 people stand in line waiting is frustrating. What was most disappointing was the apparent lack of concern from management and staff to improve the situation or get food out to customers in a timely manner. Paying customers deserve better service and a greater sense of urgency. There is significant room for improvement. read more
