We met Danielle and her wonderful team while actively engaged searching for our friends missing dog that had run away from their house shortly after being adopted. This started the "legend of Benni" after many weeks of searching, Danielle never gave up hope and encouraged her team, despite many emotions and numerous thoughts about where Benni might be or might have gone. We observed first hand what happens when caring people come together for a common cause with a motivated, caring leader. Yes it was a team effort, but we finally found Benni and she was returned to health. Out of this came our agreeing to serve as foster parents and we fell in love with one of the puppies we watched over and named her Benni in honor of our search for the other Benni months before. Now fast forward many month later and we still communicate and interact with Danielle and her awesome team of volunteers. So, if you are looking for your perfect canine companion, or perhaps are looking to help out by volunteering as a foster or at the rescue itself, check out their website, or stop by the rescue and save a life. These animals are just not numbers to push out the door - Apollo wants them to be ready physically and developmentally. The adoption fee is very reasonable for all it covers. The staff at the Justin rescue center are friendly and helpful. Recently, I had a stellar experience working with one of the staff for a puppy adoption. She promptly replied to my inquiry and provided updates through the process. I highly recommend Apollo for finding a wonderful new furry addition to your family!

We…read moreknew we wanted another dog eventually but we could not immediately commit to giving them a forever home due to a Family emergency. A lot of uncertainty and a rollercoaster of sorts. On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Frisco PetsMart on Preston Road held an adoption event where, right away, my Mom and I fell in love with Addie. We were drawn to her for some reason, and we knew right then, we needed to do the full adoption. A few days prior, we were informed that my Aunt was not doing well and we would most likely be out of the country for about two months. I e-mailed Yvette, the president of Lost Paws Rescue Organization, if she would be able to keep Addie with her until we returned (August 9th) and she agreed. When I met Yvette in person to pick up Addie at PetsMart on Saturday, August 15th, she was so sweet and pleasant to talk to. Thank you for leading us to Addie. We are head over heels in love with her. She is currently enrolled in training classes. She does well on a leash now and is slowly coming out of her shell after having adapted to our home environment.

After meeting up with Yvette I was given 8 hours to make my decision. I asked if I could see Nachos vet records with no reply. That was already a red flag. I took a day to think and I was ready to adopt. Yvette said he was no longer available, however he remained on the website. When I mentioned this she did not respond. I showed up to the adoption event the next week and there he was!! I feel if they truly cared about the animals they would be accommodating and work harder to rehome. Overall, I believe Lost Paws is running a sketchy business. The whole interaction with Yvette was very off putting. My heart breaks for Nacho as I was ready to adopt and give him a great new home and all the love!!

This is a rescue group for greyhounds in north texas! They are based out of Dallas/Ft. Worth but…read morethey rescue from all over the state, and even around the country. I'm both a volunteer with this organization, and an adopter. All three of my furbabies came from here! Greyhounds are used for racing at dog tracks, and many are kept for breeding purposes if they are unable to run. As soon as they outlive their usefulness they are sometimes turned over to organizations like Greyhounds Unlimited, and unfortunately sometimes they are just put out on the street. Like most domesticated animals they do not understand how to take care of themselves, or avoid dangers (like traffic, etc) and so some of them are lost. GU does it's best to take in as many greyhounds as possible (they also take in Italian Greyhounds which are a smaller cousin to the greyhound, and greyhound mixes). They only run because of foster homes who are willing to temporarily hold dogs and take them to "Meet and Greets" which are published on their site and held at stores which allow the group to set up on the weekends. Greyhounds Unlimited is 100% non-profit with no paid staff, and everyone involved works so hard to find forever homes for these dogs. Check out their website to learn more about greyhounds and adoption. You'd be surprised ot learn how great they are to live in apartments, because they only have energy for a little bit and then all they want to do is sleep!

Coco had spearation anxiety issues, distructive issues, pulling on a leash, jumping issues (people/furniture) . Phil had his hands full with Coco. Getting her to meet all these boundaries and let her end with a positive outlook was an amazing task. We had used Matt for several years and everything was fine until recently. We have 2 large dogs…read moreand we asked Matt to walk our dogs 3 times per day when we went away for a few days in March. When we returned we noticed a strong smell of urine in the house. Our dogs are housebroken and never have accidents while we are home so I suspected they had not been walked very much while we were gone. There was no proof so we chalked that up to one bad experience and moved on. When we went on a trip earlier this month we asked Matt to watch and walk our dogs while we were away. All was confirmed by text on a Tuesday before we departed on Thursday. A check for the full amount was left. We had asked Matt to walk the dogs 3 times per day while we were gone. We also asked Matt to send us a text following the first visit to confirm all was OK. When we arrived at our destination several hours later we had not received a text from Matt. I sent a text to Matt but got no response. I called and left a message-no response. At that point we became very concerned so we called some neighbors to check on our dogs. They confirmed the check had been picked up but they could not tell if the dogs had been walked or fed so they did both. We were told our dogs relieved themselves many times during this walk so I don't believe they were walked earlier. Over the course of the next 2 days we tried to contact Matt many times with no response. During this time several of our neighbors came to our house to feed and walk the dogs and no one ever saw Matt walk the dogs. They did see his truck outside our house once for approximately 15 minutes. On Saturday morning one of our neighbors left a note in our house with our phone numbers asking Matt to call if/when he came to the house. During this time we located and hired another sitter on an emergency basis to avoid imposing on our neighbors. We finally received a call from Matt approximately 8 hours later on Saturday evening telling us his phone was broken. Since we had completed an application with our contact information before ever hiring Matt I was not satisfied with that excuse. I advised Matt we had hired another sitter to care for our dogs for the remainder of our trip. There has been no contact with Matt since then. When we arrived home we went to our neighbor's home to thank them in person for helping us. At that point they showed us a very disturbing video. In this video we see an unidentified woman leaving our home in what appeared to be only a towel. Matt leaves about 5-10 seconds later and then they drive off. To say we were amazed is an understatement. I am not sure what is going on with Matt but I have a real problem with the neglect of our dogs and the apparent total disregard for our property. I have a real problem with strangers being brought into our house while we are away. We have now had all of our locks changed and our security system updated so we are never in this situation again.
