A big AC Moore is also at one end. Hopefully something useful can go into the old spot where Toys R Us just closed. Don't forget the amazing Agean Pizza! It's not the most happening mall... far from it... but there's useful shops and a clean, climate controlled place to walk and browse and shop. Don't dismiss it.

It feels like being in another world, a bygone era if you will. There's this great flea market place with tons of booths and random stuff to sort through, cards, games, movies, horror stuff, everything! Then right across the hall is a place with similar items, sports cards, games, movies etc. Otherwise the mall is pretty much dead. Hadn't been there in almost a year, went back and more of the stores that were open are now gone. Really needs to get some tenants as it's a cool little place with potential. Those flea market and card shops are awesome, everything else, not so much. If you aren't going for the couple stores I mentioned, I wouldn't bother going.

We popped in while visiting family and it felt like a little holiday village. The grounds are set up so you can stroll from shop to shop, and everything is decorated in a way that makes it perfect for photos. There are tons of great photo ops for kids (and adults), which made it feel extra fun this time of year. The carousel in the center is a big highlight! Super charming, very nostalgic, and a hit with the kids. Honestly, it added so much character to the whole place. There's a really nice mix of shops too. You'll find boutique-style stores, specialty food shops, gift ideas, sweets, and unique little spots you don't usually see all in one place. It's great for browsing, grabbing small gifts, or just wandering around without feeling rushed. We stopped for pizza at Brezza pizza, which is right there in the shoppes, and it was the perfect break in the middle of walking around. Easy, casual, and exactly what you want when you're out with family and kids. The Shoppes at East Wind is just so cute. It's festive without being overwhelming, family-friendly, and a really fun place to spend an hour or two during the holidays. Whether you're shopping, grabbing food, or just there for the carousel and photos, it's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

They also have many other items needed to enjoy when out on the east end. My good friend purchased a wetsuit in September to extend his swimming days when the weather turned colder. So he could swim in the bay or pool though chilly out! Not a surfer... a lawyer who loves to keep the swimming season going longer. Hahha. Matt, Eric and Chris were super helpful associates. Checking sizes, products via phone, checking stock in their affiliate stores and holding an item while driving over. It's especially important to get a wetsuit right size wise or water seeps in and its too cold for that. He loved the suit. Once he came over thinking the rear zipper broken... he couldn't reach the zipper tag or get out of it! I checked and it was inside out!! hahaha... Never put a wetsuit on inside out especially if you live alone.. could be trapped in your wetsuit. hahahaha three weeks later there was also a small tear ... and the manufacturer offered to repair via mail.. but so did Flying Point saving time and trips to the post office. Flying Point was great at getting the repair in and done efficiently. When I went to pick it up, just had to give my friends name and they went to the holding room and brought it right out. Its a good example of why a good local shop is really needed... when sizes vary significantly on items and brands. Shopping is so much more than price and mail service... Especially if you're shopping in the morning, when the rice is still soft from being freshly made. The bone broth and Matzoh ball soup here I purchased was excellent, so clearly homemade. The fried chicken here is also good, but not as flavorful as other options around here (Schmidts Country Market has them beat in my opinion). I've also tried the sea salt chocolate chips, which were good, as well as their slow dried linguini which was excellent. This store has literally everything, whether you're looking for fresh pasta, caviar, pizza, sushi or any other pantry staple you're looking for. The space is clean and well organized.
