Signage was poor and for running in to try and find some goodies to bring to a friend's party in the area, I spent more time in here then I would have liked. Generally you can find chips and dips within seconds of entering a store but this Key Food, although small, wasn't the easy to navigate. I still have no idea if there's a fresh baked goods area, which is what I was really looking forward to, but alas, I may never actually know unless I stop at this store to bring something else to my friend's house in the future. I liked that the cashier wore a button down and tie, not something you see every day, but his concerted effort to look polished only was for appearance as he seemed overly sleepy and unconcentrate dby his work.

He has absolutely no clue what's going on, and I have wished him a good day multiple times after checkout just to be polite, only for him to stare at me and say nothing or blatantly ignore me. This most recent visit, I went in 30 minutes before close to grab one item. All but one of the ACOs, self-checkout stations, were open. There were two teens that walked away from it and went to get on line. The employee told them they were closing registers, so they came back to the ACO area where I now was and got in line. As soon as I went, he told me I was cutting them off in a rude tone and called me out in front of them, which I wasn't because they literally walked away. They even said, "He didn't, because we were on the other line and were back and forth ..it's fine." He, like usual, sat there stalking while I checked out and, and of course, didn't wish the customer(s) a good night back.

Ehh this place could be better. The store has no consistency. One minute you're passing meat and…read morethe next you're passing car mats. If you like an item and go back for it there's a good chance it won't be there again. The meat looks like the people that frequent the store, sketchy. Other than cheap eggs I don't see much point in going in this store.

They've got a decent selection of flower baskets - especially considering they're a super market. And the prices are great! $9.99 for a medium sized basket of begonias, impatiens, etc. There's a sign in their fenced in garden area that says "Pay Here." There was no one there. There were several customers who had questions about the plants, or their pots or their soils and mulches, or who wanted to buy something, but there was no one there. My wife went in to ask where we should pay. She spoke to who looked like the manager. He could barely make the effort to look at her and answered her inquiry with disinterest and practically distain. Thanks! Now I've got to deal with an insulted and pissed off wife. Lol. Like I said, it was probably and hopefully an isolated event. Everyone is entitled to a moment. Nonetheless, we rolled our carts into the store (remember, I'm recovering from surgery gone wrong and this was physically difficult for me) and paid for the 6 baskets we picked out. All in all, if you're looking for flowers for your containers, beds, baskets, etc., and want to save a few bucks (who doesn't), Lidl is worth a look. I understand they sell groceries as well. Lol.

The service was quick and the staff were friendly. We ordered hotdogs and lobster rolls. We did have to wait a while for the lobster rolls because the last batch was finished, which was fine with us because we knew we were going to get a fresh batch. They pack so much lobster in the roll and the butter on top was delicious. For the hotdogs we got the combo and it came with two, chips and water 5bucks. While worth it. The vibe was chill; felt like a bbq . Would definitely go back on the weekends for this treat!

I like how spacious the Farmingdale location is, even on a weekend. I struggled on the self-checkout line and the staff member was super helpful and even told me the code for my bundle of herbs after they had stepped pretty far away. Super attentive! If you get the app, you get a free ice cream cone for every $100 spent. Easy to reach that if you're buying any meat or seafood here. And a bonus surprise--I found the butter-dipped soft serve available here, so I got to try that.
