Always selling expired items. Make sure to check the expiration date on all you buy at this location.

This place is huge! This place has every food item you can think of! I came here for the first time…read moremonths ago and tried the chicken noodle soup. I was absolutely in love! Since then I have returned back twice and no longer seem to find that soup. Which is unfortunate. I did try to branch out and try out the different items by the deli counter. They were good but I need more seasoning than what was given and I'm not talking about spicy lol overall service was great. I will try again to see if they bring the noodle soup & open to trying other items!

This location is the "nicest" as far as selection and store size compared to the other two. What I wasn't expecting was a difference in taste. I assumed everything came from an Uncle Giuseppe's outside kitchen, but now I'm wondering are the things made in store because everything except the raviolis tasted VERY different here. The jalapeño party dip, spinach and artichoke dip, and the vodka sauce ..... don't get me started on that sauce... it was awful. When I was younger my little brother liked spaghetti-o's and that is exactly what it reminded me of... it was seriously inedible to my family.. not including my little brother haha. Funny thing is I like the sauce from the other locations, but this one was so bad. The stuffed mushrooms were completely tasteless, but I buy them from the other two locations weekly and they're always good. I hate to leave a crappy review, but I loved the store and was so disappointed the taste wasn't there, except the raviolis, they were good as usual.

Ehh this place could be better. The store has no consistency. One minute you're passing meat and…read morethe next you're passing car mats. If you like an item and go back for it there's a good chance it won't be there again. The meat looks like the people that frequent the store, sketchy. Other than cheap eggs I don't see much point in going in this store.

Just a quick one here. Maybe just an isolated event…read more We went to Lidl to look at their plants - it's time to plant the containers on our deck. They've got a decent selection of flower baskets - especially considering they're a super market. And the prices are great! $9.99 for a medium sized basket of begonias, impatiens, etc. There's a sign in their fenced in garden area that says "Pay Here." There was no one there. There were several customers who had questions about the plants, or their pots or their soils and mulches, or who wanted to buy something, but there was no one there. My wife went in to ask where we should pay. She spoke to who looked like the manager. He could barely make the effort to look at her and answered her inquiry with disinterest and practically distain. Thanks! Now I've got to deal with an insulted and pissed off wife. Lol. Like I said, it was probably and hopefully an isolated event. Everyone is entitled to a moment. Nonetheless, we rolled our carts into the store (remember, I'm recovering from surgery gone wrong and this was physically difficult for me) and paid for the 6 baskets we picked out. All in all, if you're looking for flowers for your containers, beds, baskets, etc., and want to save a few bucks (who doesn't), Lidl is worth a look. I understand they sell groceries as well. Lol.

I like how spacious the Farmingdale location is, even on a weekend. I struggled on the self-checkout line and the staff member was super helpful and even told me the code for my bundle of herbs after they had stepped pretty far away. Super attentive! If you get the app, you get a free ice cream cone for every $100 spent. Easy to reach that if you're buying any meat or seafood here. And a bonus surprise--I found the butter-dipped soft serve available here, so I got to try that.

I enjoyed walking around and taking in the animatronics--they always make the trip feel more like an experience than a regular grocery run. In the fruit department, an employee was cutting up a pink pineapple. We were curious, and she happily offered us a sample, which felt like great customer service in action. I picked up a few sale items, but overall found most things to be a bit overpriced. For me, Stew Leonard's is more of a fun outing than a place to do all my regular grocery shopping. It's perfect for seasonal finds and unique items.
