Food - Delicious! Orders filled to specifications! Tasty and filling! The food is fresh and tasty every time! They even sell white meat chicken combos ! The ambiance is a standard Chinese restaurant take-out with 2 tables incase you want to dine it. I always take my food and runnn to eat because it's so good! The long life meal pictured in the photo, I highly recommend if you're into eating healthy. 2 thumbs up and will continue to return. read more

I am traveling for work and on my own for dinner, so I went around and found what seemed to be a reasonable option with decent reviews mixed on Yelp and Grubhub and going back what seemed like a few years. Unfortunately, this was a real fail. The chicken and the broccoli were both good quality (all of the stars are for those ingredients) the sauce was mediocre with virtually no flavor and the wontons were dry and awful. They came with what can only be described as a vat of sweet and sour sauce. I suspect they hope if I dipped them in enough sauce, I would enjoy them. It didn't work. I am not sure what all of the high rated reviewers ordered, or how people have been going here for years but what I ordered was neither flavorful nor worth going back to again. read more

Amazing quality Chinese food, owners and staff are super friendly and support the local community, a neighborhood gem, great location. Definitely recommend. read more

Quick service, good food at a good price, nice owners. Very accommodating but you need to know on the spot what you're ordering by phone. They move on quickly to the next customer! read more

King house has been a staple for many years! When they initially sold it years ago, I did not have high hopes. A lot of things changed including the taste of the food. They sold it again and since then it has been great! The food is always fresh, it's not heavy and greasy, it is authentic and full of flavor! I recently moved and we knew that King House would be missed big time! Everytime I'm back in the area, I make sure to stop in for a bite! read more

Omg sooooooo good. Seriously I had a few places saved on here to try and I tried this one night and I can't stop talking about how good it was. I can't wait for my hubs to try it too. This might end up being our go to place. read more

Visit Date: December 18, 2021 This was my first attempt at gluten free vegan chinese food and it might have been a success. My friend Janell and I were trying to find a place to eat after we saw the shimmering solstice light show at Old Westbury Gardens. Originally we wanted to try a sushi place but it was going to be too expensive. I ordered white rice with tofu and eggplant, no sauce and just asked for hot sauce. They gave me a hot oil sauce that they said was gluten free and hopefully it wasn't a fish oil sauce because I didn't think about asking if it was. My food was good for what it was. Because I didn't get a brown sauce it would have been bland without the hot sauce but I missed eating chinese eggplant and that was yummy and I was excited about that. My friend Janell didn't seem to have complaints about her food. We both had leftovers as well. Not a bad place for chinese. read more

Excellent food. The service is quick and they make their own noodles for the soup. Also have a few tables if you want to eat inside.

It's Monday and I forgot my lunch at home, so not a great start to the week. King House made Monday a bit better. I selected the only Chinese restaurant on Grubhub that would deliver to my office in garden city. I liked the fair price for lunch and that I could choose white meat chicken for general Tsos or sesame chicken. Delivery was on time and the food was hot and about as tasty as you would get at a take out place. Solid choice for a cheap tasty lunch. read more

King House - General Tso's Chicken (white meat) lunch special - Chinese Near Me - Carle Place, New York

Great food, been going for years. Would definitely recommend. Easy to order with website

Ordered egg foo young w Beef instead of the same thing I order every time (cold noodles w Fried To-Fu) the lady asked me if I wanted brown or white rice with it? First of all it came exactly how I wanted, I asked for it well done. Secondly, it was very tasty with the brown rice. Smart move, that earned the promotion to the 5th star. The food is not what your going to get in China town or Taiwan but when compared to all of the other Chinese take-out places in the Carle Place/Mineola area its my favorite. I see they are trying hard and effort counts. Combined with consistently getting my order correct and fast delivery you can never go wrong. I recommend take-out unless for some you get a craving while driving on old country (cherry lane) or glen cove rd (westbury ave). The low reviews of this place are from year ago and people who wrote max 8 reviews in their yelp career. read more

Amazing food, the real authentic experience. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting take out

We were visiting my son and didn't have a car, so we had to go somewhere close to his house. Just around the block and close to the train station, we found King House. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the prices were. I order chicken with broccoli and my husband ordered cashew chicken. You get soup, noodles or soda with your order. Also a pot of green tea is available so you can help yourself whether you eat in or out. I personally don't care for tea so we spent a dollar for a bottle or water. All in all, I had no complaints. The service was good and we left with full stomachs. read more

I never do this which says a lot. I just called for delivery and within 2 seconds of me speaking to the lady, not even giving my address let alone my order yet- she yells at me with "we too busy, no delivery for you, too far!!!" Now, this is my 4th time ordering from them with no issues. Never again. I don't care the establishment... learn how to treat your customers. Extremely rude. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. read more

Just an update: they no longer have the loyalty card but I still enjoy their food and take out from there exclusively due to the convenient location. read more

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the Westbury area! I order from them at least once a week-- everything is always fresh and delicious, chicken with garlic sauce, chicken with broccoli, and sesame chicken are all winners. Thank you King House! read more

the food is delicious but unfortunately we won't come back because the service is painfully slow. The restaurant was only half full and yet it took 1.5 hours to receive our meals. Our appetizers were served after an hour of each waiting. our server didn't even try to smooth things out with apologies, free anything or explanations. It's too bad because you want to support local business but when it is this awful you just can't waste your time. read more

You make my life BETTER the food is soooo good 100% recommend Best Chinese food The pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs are to die forrrr read more

Food is terrible mediocre at best. I did just move from Queens and this has got to be the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Such a shame. It's the only one here. Egg rolls were terrible and ridiculously old, I think the inside was fossilizing... The noodles were bland flavorless and just plain gross. The garlic chicken... Bland and finding chicken in there was like finding needle in a haystack. The boneless spareribs... Ugh just awful and rubbery, only silver lining was the general tso's chicken, flavorless but atleast crispy? Not sure that's a home run on any level... But if I have to give them one star might as well attempt at a positive. However it was definitely a negative on my wallet... I'll be visiting my old neighborhood when the mood strikes for good Asian food. read more

Ordered takeout. Have order from here for over 25 years. The past two times have not been good. Egg rolls horrible. Wonton soup worse. Chicken and broccoli not good. Chicken chop suey was a mess, no vegetables except for onions. Fried rice was ok. New owners? Awful read more

This place is really good best if you are around in the neighborhood. All dishes come out hot and ready. They don't mess up orders and food is tasty. read more

We order from here a few times a month. Always good food. We've tried other places in the area but King house seems to take the lead.

Absolutely love King House. I have been eating here since I was a kid. The food is delicious and well prepared. The staff is professional, and they have great customer service. I even tell my friends and coworkers about King House. They've also begun ordering regularly. They have a loyal customer for life. read more

Please ignore the reviews below as this is not the same ownership that existed when they were written. The original king house had great food but was run by a well-intentioned but somewhat strange person. King house was then under new management and it went downhill fast. Most of these reviews reflect that management. I decided to give the restaurant another chance after I had heard that the place was clean, the food had improved and ownership changed once again. I have been there many times since then and the food is out of this world. From the old-fashioned eggrolls, to the delicious fried rice, to the entries and the overall cleanliness, This place is a must to try if you are in the mood for good classic take out Chinese food. read more

I absolutely love king house. I am usually not a fan of chinese food, but love that this place will make their dishes with white meat if you request it. I always get the sweet and sour chicken with white meat, and their lunch/dinner specials are reasonable. My fiance loves their general chows chicken and dumplings. Their delivery is fast, and they are always so nice. If you carry out, you can make yourself a cup of free hot green tea if you'd like! Overall, great place for delivery or takeout chinese food! read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. This place used to be busy and the food was good(never my favorite but others did love it) and now it's just flavorless. Yesterday we had to try one last time, even though we knew it has changed so much in a negative way. We ordered fried dumpling and they were all dough that was almost stale. The filling was barely there and flavorless. And the dipping sauce was just odd. Big !! I've had dumplings from many places and have never had such an epic fail! Not sure what the new powers are thinking. This is a small town with a lot of through traffic and could be a gold mine! If they can't cook then pop on a website and figure it out. Sad food. Just sad. read more

King House is a reliable choice for Chinese food if you're hanging out mid-island. They offer all the classics, which are consistently good. I grew up in Pennsylvania & moved to LI about 3 years ago. Growing up, King House was the go-to Chinese food restaurant for my girlfriend & her family. Having eaten a variety of selections, I can say that it is not the greatest Chinese I've ever eaten, but it certainly is reliable & consistently delicious! read more

This places General Tso's chicken is good. Egg roll is crispy, very flavorful. I will come again.

I called this Chinese place and started to give my order to the woman on the phone. As I am telling her to add a certain ingredient, she goes on to tell me a price and then hangs up the phone. I call back, they leave me sitting in limbo on hold so I hang up again and finally an inpatient man answers and I tell him of what has occurred and he tells me well we are busy and cannot stay on the phone long. I then hung up on him. These people were very unprofessional and nasty behavior. I would never buy food from this place again. They have been removed from our lunch list and no longer will be used. read more

First- What kind of takeout/delivery establishments don't take credit/debit cards in 2016? There isn't an ATM for a mile in any direction of this place. If you order food close to closing, it will not be fresh and it will be nasty. My "steamed chicken" had the consistency of raw oysters. The rice was dry, and the wonton soup cloudy, tasting weird. The fried wontons were so rough and chewy that I couldn't eat a whole one. Won't be ordering again. read more

I've been going to the King House car place for ever are used to love the owners years ago Kim was the nicest. The people that took over after them were nice to. Whoever is taking over now they've been doing it for a while now what a nasty phone person wow all they have to say is wow how nasty can you be. A bully in school doesn't talk to you that nasty. I want to get yelled out I'm gonna go see if my mother would yell at me who never yelled at me in a whole entire life. And nothing for nothing four times I found a bone in my chicken and broccoli not that I've ever complain to them but I really need to find a better Chinese place they had the worst. I really think you should think twice about going here. Besides the The huge rats that run by there. One day I went there and I saw the guy cutting up vegetables without a cutting board on the tables where people can come in and sit and eat at. That's not very sanitary can imagine what else happens here. read more

Love their Wanton soup. This is the only place that still has Bock Choy in their soup. All other places cheap out and just add scallions! The people there will also give you extra tea bags and fortune cookies without a fuss. Their language has a way of making you think they are yelling, but then you realize that it is just the difference in emphasis and pronunciation. They are really very sweet and accommodating. You can also ask for no MSG. read more

Absolutely the WORST customer experience ever,my friend ordered a FRIED RICE with Sesame chicken.after delivery,my friend called in to say they messed up the order.they put in PORK in the fried rice(being of a certain religion we cant eat pork).on top of which i open up the second plate, and after inspecting there was a BIG HAIR IN IT ..he tells them can we please get a new order.the lady on the phone argues back with my friend and says you didnt say No pork.anyways the lady then says were only gonna make a new order of the rice and the driver is driving to Hempstead,so its gonna take another hour.not to be petty but even if the pork touched the chicken we CANT have it so i decide to drive with my friend to exchange the orders out.after getting to the location we told the lady we didnt wanna wait and can we get a new order? She says no,"i give your money back" she handed us $15,which was $3 shorter than what we gave.then on top of which, she throw out the wrong food order infront of our faces..not only did they not mess up the order, and refused to own up to the mistake, they also refused to service us.which is disgusting and felt like we were being discriminated.i WOULDNT RECOMMEND this chinese location to a starving person.disgusting people. read more
