The waycross restaurant 11-14-25 8:13pm. Very poor customer service. We was never asked for refills on our drink. The waitress came over once to bring food and did not return. We was celebrating a birthday and no one came over to sing or recognize like the other customers. I paid $20.52 in gratuities for poor service. Very disappointed in the service . My ticket was 143.94. We had over 450.00 worth of food to be treated like this is not acceptable. Olivia the manager was no help either. Customer service is everything. read more

We stopped at the King Claw in Waycross for our anniversary dinner while in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. We didn't expect much, and were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is large and modern, and conveniently located. The selection of seafood was great and the food was all good. We shared a Liw Country Boil, and had more than enough food. We even took enough shrimp home for lunch for 2 the next day. Our waitress was friendly and attentive but not overwhelming. She did take a few anniversary dinner photos for us. Food was great. Ambiance was decent. Music didn't fit the scene but maybe it's for younger crowds? Server was attentive to details and friendly. Note to self- If everyone around you is ordering the seafood bucket-- you too should order the seafood bucket. The rum punch fishbowl numbed me enough to attempt the plates. The bang bang tacos were a hit and saving grace to the meal. Rice wasn't edible and had been over cooked, vegetable medley was akin to Bird's Eye microwave fresh. The grouper and potatoes were great and perfectly seasoned. All in all I'd give it another try but won't order a plated meal and instead a seafood bucket. Server was wonderful and friendly, checked on us often and made a poor tasting meal better overall. The restaurant is lively and has a great atmosphere. King Claw is the place if you're craving hot and flavorful seafood. Fried calamari was good, perfect with the chili sauce on the side. King claw boil has not disappointed us thus far- only critique is that I wish more of the other sides were included instead of a million sausage slices. An appetizer and boil was plenty for two of us to share. About $60 for a dinner for two (without drinks). Service was great, and ambiance was pleasant. read more

Great food horrible and slow service. I have eaten a four course meal faster than my meal this evening. Over two hours for a meal in Waycross, GA where wet wipe Charlie's need to be at every table. Where is the punchline? My food was literally room temperature before I got a refill. I debated going behind the bar and using my old glass to get a refill. Two drinks in two hours and T plus 2 and counting still waiting on the third. On a positive, the food was good when it was warm. Great vibe overall but I will not return. read more

This was our first time here. Our servers name was Sabrina. We were very surprised at the quantity of food and the flavor was fantastic. The restaurant was very clean the atmosphere was nice, the restrooms were clean, and best of all our server was extremely friendly and nice throughout the entire meal. King Claw in Waycross is an oasis among chain restaurants and fast food. It's a big place so they can serve a lot of people, plus they have a "party" room. I had the grilled grouper, served with savory red potatoes and a vegetable medley (which was overcooked.) the grouper was deliciously prepared and sauced, the red potatoes were garlicky and savory. My friend had the fried shrimp, French fries and broccoli (extra $ to swap Cole slaw). Everything was delicious and prepared correctly, crispy fries and shrimp, seasoned broccoli. I'm from Atlanta so I was a little put off by the Pepsi product selection and it didn't seem like they had top shelf liquor on the bar but my Jack and Ginger was fine. In summary, the service was excellent and friendly, the main components of our meal were better than we anticipated and everything was clean and spacious. I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 for overcooked vegetable medley and the absence of top shelf bourbon. read more

I'll start by saying that the service from Jennifer was awesome!!! It's servers like her that keep people coming back, especially considering she was under a microscope from the moment she approached our table. The food came on time and was delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the woodwork is breathtaking. I recommend King Claw to anyone! I will be back, for the food and services provided by the establishment. I just pray for better company next time......King Claw gets a 5-star rating, my date gets a 1-star rating. read more

I want to start off with I had high hopes. Most of the reviews were good. So let me start with the good. We were quickly seated. One of our appetizers was hot and fresh. It was the waycross sampler and I would absolutely recommend it. It was very nice on the inside. Now. For the rest of the story. We waited almost 15 minutes before we saw a waiter. He dropped off straws. 5-7 minutes later he came back and took our drink order. We asked if we could place an appetizer order at the same time. We ordered the waycross samplesr and a dozen steamed oysters. About 10 minutes later we got our drink orders. And we placed our order. Approximately 30 minutes later we got our apps. Again the sampler was great. The oysters were ice cold. I did send them back without a reorder. And my husband asked for a refill on his tea. When our food came to the table about another 20 minutes later it was wrong and we had to send it back. Within 5 minutes our order came out correct and was good. The waiter brought it and at that time I harshly reminded him my husband still had not received hi tea refill. We still had no silverware. Finally we asked the busboy for silverware which he was quick to bring. The manager happened to pick up our check and I explained the whole experience and she was very understanding and graciously accepted our feedback and apologized for the whole situation. Can't say we would go back. Mainly because we have the same type of restaurant where we live and we were looking for steamed oysters. Hope this helps. read more
