My son had his 16th birthday here yesterday and had the absolute best time with his friends. It's…read moreso hard to find a spot for teenagers to actually have fun in the city. But this was spot on! Our server Arie was excellent! She was attentive and so personable! We had a little bit of an issue where my son left his birthday card on the table and I just knew it was going to be gone. We left the building drove 20 minutes home and realized he didn't have a card. We rushed back and the card was nowhere to be found. The manager on duty, Ian did not stop trying to help find this birthday card. We finally gave up after searching everywhere and as we were walking out out of the door a mother and son was having a birthday party also. My son's friends played a joke on him and gave him a girl's birthday card., so the other birthday boy was like this is not mine. The manager ran out after us and told us he found the card! He truly went above and beyond to make sure my son had a great time and we found the missing card! Overall, I've never seen a bunch of teenage boys smile and laughed so much on the videos that I saw. I'm not sure why the reviews are low, but I can't agree with any of the low reviews. We will definitely be back for an adults night! Thank you again Ian!!

We went while in town for my son's birthday (out of state). Amid the "boring history stuff" this…read morewas the one thing he really wanted to do. We had four athletes and a computer programmer. We all do escape rooms regularly, including the kids. We've only not made it out of maybe one or two escape rooms so this is right up our alley. We booked in advance and didn't have to wait long like others have stated, so that was great. It was pretty empty for a weekend afternoon. There was one birthday party going on. A lot of employees hanging out but not surprised because it wasn't busy. Our game hostess was fine. Just told us that the screens would tell us what to do and don't move to the next room until the room you're in tells you to (because there was a party in front of us). Also the doors aren't locked so feel free to leave anytime, but the clock won't stop. She also told us to take absolutely everything on us and put it in a locker. Told us she "highly recommended" that we took nothing with us in the game rooms. Again, really common for escape rooms because they don't want you to give it away or take photos. Made sense. It took us at least two tries on each game in each room to understand what we were supposed to do, which wasted time. The instructions weren't amazing, but we figured it was supposed to be hard so didn't think that was complaint-worthy initially. Got to level 8 or so on most rooms, not much higher. Nothing to compare it to since there's nothing like this near us. Screen kept saying we were doing "alright". The room we thought we did the best in said we did "abysmal". Eh, okay, all part of the gag we thought. Maybe no one gets "great" or "nice work". Then we got to the laser room where things went downhill. The screens were supposed to let you switch the laser pattern, but only one screen on one side worked. We did our best and still tried to make the best of it. All in the name of having fun for my son's bday. At the end of the laser room a 10 minute countdown started and a voice said "feel free to take photos while you wait for the next room", which would have been amazing if we weren't encouraged to put them in a locker at the start of the games!!! Waiting for the bomb (foam) in the hallway and are the only team on the screen that chose foam when our team's name disappears from the list. The team in front of us goes ahead and I notice our team name is on their video screen and they are playing as us with our remaining bomb time. And they are going to get foam, not what they actually chose. I flag down a worker and he starts running around to his coworkers who are all chuckling at the mistake, not sincerely worried at all about giving the team already in the bomb room the wrong experience or the wrong amount of time. They got foam - and I don't think they got to do it again. I would not have been happy, but that's up to them to talk to the staff about. The worker then tells us he THINKS he can get us the foam we asked for but that he doesn't know how much time we had on the bomb, so we needed to give him a number. He also says we might have to email for our photos/video since the team before us will be attached to our team name. He tells us that his coworker was supposed to check the team's bands before us to confirm who they were and their bomb type, but forgot. Meantime, the workers behind him continue to be completely unconcerned and are chatting and laughing about it, hanging out, no big deal. No apologies, no concern over the screw up. That was disappointing. We get into our bomb room and everything is covered in slime including the controllers we need to use. We get our controllers and the whole thing shuts down. Computer .exe error. They get it back up and running pretty quickly and we realize as we start to play that at least two of the controllers aren't doing anything. Foam starts to come out before the bomb even goes off and at least one mask fails and we can't even see to finish the game (we were at five completed when this started). I ended up having to just take off my mask and turn around because foam is covering my mouth and I can't breathe. Photos and videos are terrible and we got someone else's video because they went under our team name. I hope they got their stuff eventually! The manager fixed it to our satisfaction, which is why I'm giving it three stars. He asked if we were staying to do other games, but didn't even know that was included or an option, so better communication too would have been great. I wish we could go back and try again to give it another chance, but there isn't one within four states of us. Hoping everyone else has a good experience because this could be amazing! We found another fun experience to finish the birthday and honestly believe you should give this a chance. Leaving this review more for the manager and staff so they know where it all went wrong.

I decided to bring my wife here to surprise my her with a date night/birthday celebration…read more I read the reviews, this place is a nice alternative from the normal date type fare. I went online and made reservations, you can use debit or credit. I received a response shortly after submitting the booking request. The staff sends you reminders once you book, the closer you get to your reservation window. COVID-19 precautions are practiced here. All of the equipment is sterilized, after use. So its clean when it's your turn to put the gear on. Since the VR goggles are worn on your face, you are given a disposable mask to put on that sits between your VR goggles and your face. The goggles never touch your face. There are several choices of games to pick from. Ranging from Easy to Hard. My wife and I had never played VR type games before. Our fun here was worth the price of admission! I suggest getting here a few minutes before your scheduled time. The staff has to set you up and get you positioned. This way you arent rushing to start playing. Best description, virtual reality escape room.

One of the employees got us all checked in and provided gloves, which were free since the tickets were purchased via Groupon. You can choose from small, medium, large or extra large sizes. We stood on the deck and got our harnesses on and tightened by an employee. He went over some safety rules and we completed a trial course to ensure we understood the procedures for zip lining. Once he cleared us, we were free to navigate the park on our own! We started with course 2, then we moved on to course 4. After that we completed course 3 and finally course 1. Some of the courses were challenging but all of them were equally fun. It was a gloomy day so it wasn't busy and we felt like we could take our time completing each obstacle. The zip lining was especially thrilling and the harness is comfortable enough where you don't feel any pressure in your thighs. Treetop Quest was a blast and I hope to be back in the summer months!

Right across from the Philadelphia City Hall, the Masonic Temple serves as the headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. It's a huge building and - wow - is it maximalist! Our tour was a little over an hour, and I recommend booking ahead (a group walked in just in front of us and hoped to buy tickets for the tour about to start, only to learn that it was sold out). Our tour guide was knowledgable (but told us when she didn't know the answer to a question because the Masons are secretive and keep a lot of facts about what occurs in the Lodge to themselves). The architecture is really stunning and there's so much to see: incredible plasterwork, grand staircases, murals, and more! Photography without flash is allowed throughout the tour, and I took about a million photographs. The Temple has a fascinating history, and the architecture and decor made my jaw drop a few times. Definitely worth visiting if you live in or are visiting Philadelphia.

Of course without giving anything away, everything was pretty clear in terms of what was next, and clues came way in handy when we asked for them, which was easily done by just saying so while looking at a camera. I think this was their newest room, but the first one I'd been to. I thought it was really well done, and everyone was engaged throughout. I especially prefer the rooms where there's a lot that needs to be done, so people can split up doing stuff rather than everyone crowding around one puzzle.
